Yes, the seven mountains represent the location where the woman sits. The woman is the Vatican. During the time of the beast king, the ten kings (leaders of the EU) will burned the Vatican to the ground. Revelation 17:16.
Wrong. You are twisting Scripture to fit your man-made theory about the Vatican and literal hills. God did not give us Revelation to point to some physical city with seven hills as if that were the mystery. The Word of God makes clear that this must be spiritually discerned (1 Corinthians 2:14).
The “woman” in Revelation 17 is not about geography—it is about apostasy. She represents the New Testament congregation that has turned unfaithful, becoming the habitation of devils and the cage of every unclean and hateful bird (Revelation 18:2). This is not Rome—it is the church itself when it joins hands with the world, embracing false prophets and the lying signs and wonders of the spirit of antichrist (2 Thessalonians 2:9–10; Matthew 24:24).
The “seven mountains” are symbolic of complete authority and dominion (Psalm 48:1–2; Micah 4:1), which the unfaithful congregation once had in Christ but surrendered when it became drunk with the blood of saints and defiled the testimony of Jesus (Revelation 17:6).
The destruction spoken of in Revelation 17:16 is not about the EU burning down the Vatican—it is about the false prophets themselves devouring the very church they corrupted (Jeremiah 12:10–11; Acts 20:29–30). God gives them over to judgment because they loved not the truth.
So stop pointing at Rome’s hills. The judgment is against the harlot church that abandoned her Husband and became the house of Satan’s counterfeit Christ.
Scripture support:
- 1 Corinthians 2:14 — “The natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God…because they are spiritually discerned.”
- Revelation 18:2 — “Babylon the great is fallen…become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.”
- 2 Thessalonians 2:9–10 — “Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders…”
- Jeremiah 12:10–11 — “Many pastors have destroyed my vineyard, they have trodden my portion under foot…”
- Acts 20:29–30 — “Grievous wolves shall enter in among you, not sparing the flock…speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.”
