Good morning Matthias, how are you all? We have learned that Yeshua is the Son Of The Living GOD.Jesus is the Son of his God. This is a biblical fact.
Everyone has a theology. You’re not an exception.
I was just told (in post #30) “Jesus was not a Jew.“ Jesus absolutely was a Jew. He has a theology and, as you know, I’ve documented what his theology is.

Matthias, we have personally taken His yoke upon ourselves and learning from Him: Matthew 11:25-30View attachment 72490
Those who are saying that Jesus isn’t a Jew and that he doesn’t have a theology are firmly committed to that belief. I seldom encounter them.
A non-Jewish Jesus who has no theology is not the Jesus whom I see in scripture. A Jewish Jesus who has a theology is not the Jesus whom they see in scripture.
Nevertheless, I think they would agree with me in recommending that everyone read the scriptures daily. That’s as generous to them as I can be.
Would you agree that Jesus (or the Logos) was not a Jew before His incarnation? Those who are saying that Jesus isn’t a Jew and that he doesn’t have a theology are firmly committed to that belief. I seldom encounter them.

I do not read the Geneva Bible, but I doubt I would agree your theological perspective is in the Bible.Would you agree that John’s prologue as presented in the Geneva Bible represents my theological perspective?
I do not read the Geneva Bible…
… but I doubt I would agree your theological perspective is in the Bible.
No reason to, we have more current translations. And I read such passages mostly in Greek. Why not?

Sorry, but such claims do not impress me. I am not a child to fall for marketing. You’ll learn something important by reading what Bible Gateway calls “a superb translation”.
So did the translators of the Geneva Bible.

However, if you prefer the reformation works, then how do you deal with this?
John Calvin (Commentary on Matthew, 16th century), English translation: "Judaism... is altogether a shadow, and hath nothing in it but figures."
Martin Luther (On the Jews and Their Lies, 1543), English translation: "Judaism is a stench before God and an open, manifest, and atrocious idolatry."
Pierre Bayle (Dictionnaire historique et critique, 1697), English translation: "Judaism... has been preserved by ceremonies and laws, but it is opposed to the Christian faith."
I am not interested. There are more modern translations and I like to read such passages directly in Greek. I do not need the Geneva Bible for anything. How can you make a decision one way or the other when you haven’t read it yourself?
Christianity? Or some other one?the Messiah’s sect of Judaism.

They did not consider Christianity to be a part of Judaism, obviously.
And neither did Paul, actually.
And neither do Jews. Etc.
There is a sect that teaches Jesus was a mere man whom God used to channel his power and perform miracles. And those believers insist Jesus was a Jewish man of that purpose.Well, it seems it is difficult, because many people still repeat this nonsense. Jesus did not follow any standard definition of Judaism. And surely had nothing to do with the current Judaism which is a totally man-made religion developed after the temple was destroyed.

Then there is the Bible that tells us Jesus was God incarnate. The Word made flesh.
That's not a mere man. That's what early Greeks would call a demigod. Part mortal, part God.
The idea that God is a Jew is Sophistry.
Jesus was God on Earth. Calling all people to himself through fulfillment of the prophecy in Hebrew scrolls that promised a Messiah. A Messiah is a saviour or liberator of a group of people.
He was born into a Jewish culture. However,God was not ,since Jesus was God here, and is not a Jew.
There are those who insist that's not true.
Their ideology isn't God's.
Romans 2:28 For you are not a true Jew just because you were born of Jewish parents or because you have gone through the ceremony of circumcision. 29 No, a true Jew is one whose heart is right with God. And true circumcision is not merely obeying the letter of the law; rather, it is a change of heart produced by the Spirit. And a person with a changed heart seeks praise from God, not from people.
