Hi there!

So I was blown away by this message from Joseph Prince (exact sermon unknown, but I can find it if you want it); with one statement, he made it crystal clear what it is that is meant by "the Law and Grace". I was really impacted and had to tell you! The comparison is so simple, but so profound

How great! You can imagine this applies to all the commandments. The Law says 'do not murder', Grace says 'be a friend, especially to those in need'; the Law says 'do not bear false witness', Grace says 'pray always'. Can you see the connections?

What Jesus gives us, in the Holy Spirit, is the ability to fulfil the letter of the Law, by abounding in the Grace of God. We cannot do these things, but the Spirit of God in us can. We still steal, but the spirit of God in us says 'no, give!' We should be grateful for this, we are meaningfully being translated into the kingdom of God - where we will do good forever! They say 'whatever you do, don't leave a vacuum', well! Here is proof that God does not leave a vacuum! God is interested in Creating life through us, in doing good with us.

Now, to get to Grace, we need to repent, that's true - the point I am making here, is that we can pray with anticipation: Father, forgive us for stealing, but help us to give, in Jesus' Name Amen. Father, forgive us for murdering, but help us be a friend, especially to those in need, in Jesus' Name Amen. This is praying with purpose. This is not praying that we may spend on our pleasures (as the letters warn against, exact reference unknown), this is praying for Christ's Righteousness to grow out of our circumstances, to be delivered.

None of this, do we give the world, until it is ready. They may murder, turn the other cheek; they may steal, give them without asking back. When they say you conduct, then you can tell them 'I've been saved by Grace, I no longer live the way the world lives?" Let's rejoice in this! Let's rejoice that our brothers and sisters have given up lying and coveting. God will love this!

I hope this has been of some encouragement (God bless Joseph Prince).

God bless.

In Psalms 119:29, he wanted God be gracious to him by teaching him to obey His law, so grace is not an alternative. Negative commands to refrain from doing something should also be understood as commands to do the reverse, so the command against committing murder should also be understood as the command to value life, and the command against committing theft should also be understood as the command to be generous, but this has nothing to do with a distinction between law and grace.

Who... According to your point of view... Is not a heretic?

Those that accept the whole counsel of God.

They are few and far between according to Jesus

Matthew 7:14
Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

You might want to start taking the warnings God has put in His Word to believers seriously so you can avoid going out on the wide path that leads to destruction agree.gif

Well then you people got some repenting to do then View attachment 78065

Were you not aware that you have the ability to not read my posts???

Yeah, wolf infested water as well
Most of the, "What’s wrong with the Church" bunch is just as bad as the bunch they are criticizing. Very seldom do you find anyone actually spiritual with this kind of stuff...

2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? - Matthew 7

Can you see the connections?

From a certain POV. From another POV, they are not connected as they are burdens on different people. The thief has the burden to restrain himself from TAKING. The charity giver has the burden to give more than they’re comfortable with. The sum of the 2 do not add up to 100%. The gap remains faith.

I see so accepting the whole counsel of God including His warnings to Christians is out for you then?

You prefer cherry picken to accepting all that the Lord says. Got it.

The charity giver has the burden to give more than they’re comfortable with.

Actually the giver should be led by the Lord and pray about what they should give.

God didn't say we are all expected to give more than we are comfortable with

2 Corinthians 9:7
Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

It's the preachers who aren't trusting the Lord to meet their needs who pressure the people to give more more more all the time.

They have a mortgage on their church and a mortgage on their home and vehicles so they are under the gun financially and seek to impose their desperation upon others in their efforts to con them in to "giving till it hurts"

This is how the charlatans roll ya know and most preachers are guilt of this.
