In the Bible the church is comprised of those who are sealed by the spirit as born again believers in Christ Jesus.
You'll find a bunch of Christian denominations in the world. And a lot of different versions of God's words too.
But,the teachings of Jesus are eternal and not subject to being dissected through textual variations or denominational fractures.

The closest church to the truth of God in Christ are those who believe in him.Those whom God calls to himself. Those for whom his message,the Gospel,resonates as truth.
You are a sinner who lives by the ways of the world. But,there is another way. A way that leads to peace in the face of strife. Power in the face of conflict and fear.
Reading these verses are a pathway in a nutshell that will help you to find your way. Then,trust God to guide you as the word of truth and salvation.
If you want a brick and mortar church to attend,find one that holds strictly to the Gospel.
Any church that tolerated what God calls sin,such as open homosexuality, performs gay marriages, practices infant baptism, is not a true Gospel church. Nor is any church that leads you to believe you must strive by your personal behaviors to remain in God's grace.
Romans 3:23: "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
1 John 1:9: "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
Believe in Jesus as your Savior.
John 3:16: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."
Ephesians 2:8: "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God."
Confess your sins,mistakes,a life lived by carnal values. You can confess in a quiet prayer ,or aloud in the privacy of a safe space. You're not bringing your sins to God's attention. God knows you and knew you before the womb.
Rather confession is a type of purge. Purging,releasing,all those things,behaviors,words,acts, that weigh on you as wrong behavior. It sets you free of the regret. And God releases you from their penalties that take a toll on your life now and afterward.
Romans 10:9: "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
Revelation 3:20: "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me."
Then,surrender yourself to trust in Jesus. Live your life with his holy spirit guiding your life from inside yourself. That is his seal that makes you eternally irrevocably his new creation in himself.
Galatians 2:20: "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me."
Matthew 7:7: "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you."
