I think this elder Spielberg is trying to cash in on his old credibility to cash in for some good retirement money.
Spielberg lost ALL credibility with this flop, even the scenes with cute little animals was very poorly done, they looked like a Disney cartoon renderings, whoever did this special effect should be fired, they missed very badly there.... he wanted to add cuteness like in E.T, in the children's room. I hope its his last movie he should retire. LOL

Can any one confirm if they liked this movie or not I haven’t read the comments I thought about going to watch it personally maybe I’ll go and watch it and find out but if anyone did was it decent I don’t want spoilers did it keep you engaged?

I recently seen backrooms and it’s a interesting ironic movie.

I saw the Movie with a friend who wanted to see it, its a flop, a lot of hype around it, more spectacular car chases than anything else, typical action movie all action no brains, they are trying to pass grey aliens as our friends and they are NOT! I did not expect much but is was below that expectation, the ending was plain stupid... there was no disclosure we all know already they exist... lol
You missed the point of my post. I was not defending the movie. I was not saying it was a good movie. I was not saying grey aliens are our friends. I was not even making the movie itself the main issue.

The movie was only the springboard. The point was that people are fascinated with the idea of hidden government disclosure, secret files, and messages from beyond, while ignoring the greatest disclosure ever given: God has spoken in His Son.

Hebrews 1:1–2 says, “God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son.”

That was the whole point. The world says, “We want disclosure.” Scripture says God has already disclosed the truth in Jesus Christ.

John 1:14 says, “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us.” That is greater than any government file, alien theory, classified program, or Hollywood ending.

So whether the movie was good, bad, stupid, overhyped, or a flop is not really the issue. The issue is that people will chase every mystery under the sun while refusing to hear the One whom the Father said to hear.

Matthew 17:5 says, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.”

That is the message. The real disclosure has already come. The question is not whether Hollywood got it right. The question is whether men will stop hardening their hearts against the truth God has already given in Christ.

I did not miss it I agree completely with your post, I should have not replied to the original post but just give my comments about the actual film apart from a reply. what you wrote as usual is the truth.

what I wrote was to say to people who read this is it was a bad movie not worth watching, to be avoided its nothing but a distraction and a bad one at that but these distractions away from Christ pointing at something else as a replacement are becoming more and more frequent. We are being kept busy away from scripture by television, AI, video games....

Wouldn't hurt to ask him if I could. He might think about it.

I dont know steven speilbergs heart. There is nothing wrong with Cinema in my eyes.

All people make their choice. Some people dont believe in God, that's fine. God honors peoples choices from what I understand.

He never forced me to desire him. One day I just decided I desired to draw nearer because of the things that was happening in my own life and Yeshua was helpful in giving me rest over time, and comfort, but that also comes at a cost of suffering through things... too

whatever that means for me personally.

Hollywood is an anti- Christ institution that perverts our society with immoral garbage.

I hear what you’re saying, but honestly, Hollywood is just the world being the world. I don’t expect a secular industry to act like the church.

And Scripture even reminds us that “All things are lawful for me, but not all things are beneficial” (1 Corinthians 6:12). Not everything in the world is automatically evil — some things are just not helpful for our walk. There’s a difference.

So people can call Hollywood anti‑Christ if they want, but at the end of the day, it’s simply the world doing what the world does. My focus is on my own relationship with God. What others choose to watch, support, or condemn is between them and Him.

Red Herring.
Spielberg put forth the question if God is only our God or are their others He is God of... I guess one day maybe more advanced Others could show up with a more advanced knowledge of who God Really is..... while all Godly things works together for good for those who love God, this may be for the devils side of the deal... getting the world to believe in those last days like when the devil and his angels are thrown out of heaven after the fight with Gods angels and they come down to earth..... looking as if their coming like Jesus comes in the clouds and fool many.... (not coming as Jesus but coming as satan acting if hes the one not Jesus who dwells in heaven...

Well if your not for Him your against Him...or anti christ.... atleast I think that way

Whatever you want to think... You don't have to prove anything to me. I just personally don't mind watching movies and enjoy them. There is nothing wrong with media. If people do not want media in their life that is okay. I don't see everyone walking around as all antichrist people, there may be people who just have not came around to God and the Lord Yeshua yet. There may be people that have been burned by the church and maybe they do not go anymore but that doesn't mean they are antichrist either.

Thank you for sharing the way you think, that is fine. You are allowed to think however you want to.

To your other question, "isnt the world being the world against Christ." I don't think so, it's just the fleshly things which are of the world.

Even Christian people with hearts for God can be rich... I dont think making movies is evil...

People can be jealous of what people have and Jesus said that too is even a heart problem.

I never said all things in this world are evil. But if you are a born again Christian saying that there is nothing wrong with taking in a typical Hollywood movie and scripture tells us to abstain from all appearance of evil, how do you reconcile the two?
