I think this elder Spielberg is trying to cash in on his old credibility to cash in for some good retirement money.
Spielberg lost ALL credibility with this flop, even the scenes with cute little animals was very poorly done, they looked like a Disney cartoon renderings, whoever did this special effect should be fired, they missed very badly there.... he wanted to add cuteness like in E.T, in the children's room. I hope its his last movie he should retire. LOL

Can any one confirm if they liked this movie or not I haven’t read the comments I thought about going to watch it personally maybe I’ll go and watch it and find out but if anyone did was it decent I don’t want spoilers did it keep you engaged?

I recently seen backrooms and it’s a interesting ironic movie.

I saw the Movie with a friend who wanted to see it, its a flop, a lot of hype around it, more spectacular car chases than anything else, typical action movie all action no brains, they are trying to pass grey aliens as our friends and they are NOT! I did not expect much but is was below that expectation, the ending was plain stupid... there was no disclosure we all know already they exist... lol
You missed the point of my post. I was not defending the movie. I was not saying it was a good movie. I was not saying grey aliens are our friends. I was not even making the movie itself the main issue.

The movie was only the springboard. The point was that people are fascinated with the idea of hidden government disclosure, secret files, and messages from beyond, while ignoring the greatest disclosure ever given: God has spoken in His Son.

Hebrews 1:1–2 says, “God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son.”

That was the whole point. The world says, “We want disclosure.” Scripture says God has already disclosed the truth in Jesus Christ.

John 1:14 says, “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us.” That is greater than any government file, alien theory, classified program, or Hollywood ending.

So whether the movie was good, bad, stupid, overhyped, or a flop is not really the issue. The issue is that people will chase every mystery under the sun while refusing to hear the One whom the Father said to hear.

Matthew 17:5 says, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.”

That is the message. The real disclosure has already come. The question is not whether Hollywood got it right. The question is whether men will stop hardening their hearts against the truth God has already given in Christ.

I did not miss it I agree completely with your post, I should have not replied to the original post but just give my comments about the actual film apart from a reply. what you wrote as usual is the truth.

what I wrote was to say to people who read this is it was a bad movie not worth watching, to be avoided its nothing but a distraction and a bad one at that but these distractions away from Christ pointing at something else as a replacement are becoming more and more frequent. We are being kept busy away from scripture by television, AI, video games....
