actually that was prolly for someone else, if not for you i guess

You speak in riddles. Your atheist flavored posts have become tiresome.

I know you don't care and will probably come back with some snappy put down, but I won't see it. The functions provided by this site will see to that.

I truly hope it all works out for you.

Later.....or not.

I am tending more and more towards natural health and healing and nature and biblical cures - ever since I heard it said that if anyone produces a machine or gadget instructions for its proper use are enclosed and also what to do if it malfunctions re where to get replacement parts, medication with no hidden or side effects even worse than the disease - the instructions it seems were lost but now are being rapidly recovered comparatively inexpensively - twinc

Panic and anxiety attacks are the body's response to an imaginary fear put there by the mind.

ah, didn't mean to be mysterious or anything there; you either get it, or you seek a different way i guess. I recommended the cave because it is the easy way, lol, while you have found a pill that works for you, and neither of us is bound to the other guy's perspective i don't think.

Panic and anxiety attacks are the body's response to an imaginary fear put there by the mind.

Yes, an imaginary fear but once triggered, the body's response is very real. Then the fear becomes another unwarranted and unexpected attack in the midst of life, making the fear then also very real and likely. Then comes the OCD behavior of controlling your surroundings to avoid...another attack. Then you are stuck in a crazy loop that will take God's deliverance.

My husband and I have been together since I was fifteen. I think I have drove him insane. He had a hard time understanding why we always had to take our food to go, why I always bolted from crowds, why I was always uncomfortable in my own skin. Years I spent pleading with him to understand and be patient.

He thought I could just turn it off. Then one night, I prefer to think of it as a mercy from God; my strong and always-calm husband...had a panic attack. He went to two separate hospitals that same night, (when they diagnosed it as panic attack) telling the nurses in the ER he was dying. He has never had another one, but suddenly he could relate to his wife.

This is how it always is, and believe me, the worst can be the doctors and nurses. With me it has been with my spine, and the so called 'experts' have zero clue other than what they have read in their medical books. Thinking you KNOW something without experiencing it, is about as asinine as can be....

I am a thin, tall person and I have been dismissed by doctors all my life because I am not overweight. I have diabetes (took until I was thirty to be diagnosed) and now, heart disease; overweight people, on the other hand, can't get treatment without hearing about their weight. It really is a limitation of the scientific method - medical tunnel vision

Remember the 5 food groups in a food pyramid? Well they changed their minds about that, and what could be more basic knowledge for a professional to have?

I have no trust for doctors or pharmaceutical companies. I think they should be believed as much as you would a shady auto mechanic.

Well, if my calling in life is compromised by health problems and a doctor provides some treatment, I choose to receive it, without expecting perfect outcomes

What about antidepressants?

I have always said to others concerning depression; if you are depressed then you are thinking correctly. There is nothing wrong with the way you see things. Our problem is when we don't see our position as far as what we can do about it. You do the things you can do, and then you let it go. Give it to God. It is above you. Nothing you can do.

I won't give my exact age, but I am a Vietnam veteran. I take no pills for anything unless I am in extreme pain. I went to the VA clinic for an outpatient operation and they asked to see my list of medications. I told them I had none. The surgeon said we are not used to seeing someone your age with out a list of medications. To which I praised God.

Sometimes I think we as people want to live down here forever. If we can extend our life to 90 plus years, all the better. I am not that way. I have lived the best years already. No matter when you die, death is an intrusion. But I am not going to try and hold on to this shell, when the better years have been spent. As no other people on earth, we as Christians should be willing to go when it is time to go.

And if the Lord chooses to extend that time, what then?o

If the Lord chooses to extend that time then that is up to Him. But if He wants to extend that time He can do it without me taking a bunch of pills. As I said, when it is time to go we as Christians should be ready to go. I am not trying to live down here forever.

The question should be asked, is it the Lord who wants to extend or is it us who wants it extended?

We couldn't extend our lives if we wanted to.

Matthew 10
29 Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will.

Job 14
5 Since
his days are determine,
The number of his months is with You;
You have appointed his limits, so that he cannot pass.

Nope, we can't, but I'm sure the beast from the pit will claim that we can, and live forever, like that of a god....its like the same lie Satan told Eve in the garden. The lie that is slowly but surely rearing its ugly head in the form of "transhumanism".

the problem there may be that we naturally go and look to consume something to help us--which a doctor is of course anxious to provide--when abstaining from what caused the health problem in the first place is the cure; what i was trying to get across to Job

What about antidepressants?

I was going through a bout of depression for two weeks, and last week pia replied to me on another tread, and that uplift dissolved my problem. thanks again pia, when we lift each other up we all are strengthend! as far as meds go, I am not fond of them! I take Motrin on occasion. I went to a Doctor about two weeks ago, sliced off the end of my finger, didn't have good dressings for the finger, and my wife was concerned, needless to say he had no clue of how to dress a finger!! first Doctor in 25 years, and boy what a letdown! do we listen to the side affects described about these new meds, If you have this problem and take this med, you may experience all these problems, up to and including Death. Makes me Laugh!

I understand your point. We must weigh costs and benefits. I don't think that a doctors expertise does get discounted and replaced with Google, more and more however.

Have you ever experienced clinical depression?
