What exactly is white privilege?

Well Job, I can give one example. When white people riot after a ball game, and sets cars on fire.....well its just a bunch of good old Americans having a good old time. When black people riot, you will see the following terms thrown around: "thug", "bipedal apes", "animals", "lowest common denominator", "ninjas", "Negroes", "dark shade", etc. This is how they are generally portrayed, mainstream and alternative media, but I would say the "alternative" media has got NBC and the like beat on this one by far. Satan has got the mainstream media doing its job keeping everyone polarized on nonsensical racial issues. But ANY video from those who fashion themselves an "alternative" news source featuring a person of color doing something they don't agree with, you will get the "experts" on evolution explaining why the negro is the less evolved homosapien, the usual statistics they like to spew on crime, along with a history lesson on the primitive dark skinned creature from Africa. I could go on, but I really don't care too much about what amounts to NON issues when it comes down to it.

What exactly is white privilege?

Its the benefit of the doubt.

Have you been to Hawaii? White privilege doesnt exist - white people are served last, suspected first, and ignored when they are with Native people. When you lose white privilege you recognize what it is.

Personally I think white privilege is an excuse that minorities use when they don't want to take responsibility for their situation in life.

So then because the government went the wrong way that time as well as many times before and many times since the correct way now is to fight against that government? And who is we are to fight for? The South was and is also made up of people. How about fighting for God instead of any of them?

I don't disagree completely with regard to the wrongful ways of our government, but government is wrong because people are wrong. This is where all people in their flesh will lose and pursuing this too hard will be an effort to remove God from the equation, which of course is really impossible. We are either with Him or against Him.

The oppressors are those who work for a solution in and by man instead of in God. Race for many is simply one of the many excuses men use to forge ahead in their own way without consulting God. For you the excuse is hoping to somehow regain what the South lost. Neither of those causes are where our only real hope lies.

"For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.
For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love." Gal 5:5-6

We could insert the words, north or south or east or west, red or white or black or brown or yellow in place of or along with "circumcision... no uncircumcision" as those availing nothing at all. Our only real Hope is in Jesus. What side are we on?

"No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon." Matt 6:24

I am not silent. But, who is hearing my voice? Who is hearing God's voice? Hopefully with God's help I will always remain on His side...

"Then Moses stood in the gate of the camp, and said, Who is on the LORD'S side? let him come unto me." Exodus 32:26

This nation is already tearing itself apart. Nothing can stop but a real repentance as per II Chron 7:14. You and the blacks and others will fight vocally and perhaps also physically over matters of the flesh and that simply adds to self-destruction that is already underway. Everyone has lost much, they are working at destroying that which remains.

If it were really only an NFL problem it would not be a good thing, but we all know it is much more than that. The problem began in the Garden of Eden with man choosing his own way rather than God's. God provided a solution for men by sending His Son and the Holy Ghost, but it seems to me that most men including many who confess Jesus with their mouths continues to fight with scarcely glance in God's direction or without even considering the solution with He has already provided.

My point to you is that blacks are not the only ones to feel oppression. So others don't need to walk in their shoes as you claim.

Who says I don't fight for God. Why is taking a political view being against God. Do you vote. Why?

Race always exists and is one, if not the top, motivator of why people do what they do. Though most like to deny it.

Again you act as if taking a political view is going against God. Why? If one side is passing laws that are contrary to God, should you be for or against it? Or, should you just be neutral and be willing to live under laws contrary to God. Which means you now have to obey such laws and were part of the reason they were placed there.

"Real Repentance" for this country is not going to happen. It has taken the wrong road of equality, and diversity, to the degree that we have peopled the country with so many different types of people, cultures, religion, that it is impossible. We elevate all minority cultures and faiths, and trample on our own. So, you can forget any repentance for this country. It has nothing but judgement in the future.

Indeed it is more than an NFL problem. That is what I have been saying. The NFL is being used by blacks to further their black racism.

See. Natives are racist too. Don't you agree? Or is that just their 'glorious culture'. Why don't they celebrate 'diversity' like everyone wants white people to do in the rest of the country?

ha. i can't help but be minded of the tension created in the immigration thing. Our economy would crash without immigrant labor, and so rich white people encourage "diversity" out of one side of their mouths, while enacting oppressive laws against immigrants that they do not want to enforce, all to protect our perceived privilege, right?

No, they are not the only ones, but where are our efforts to be other than to be on the Lord's side?

Who says I don't fight for God. Why is taking a political view being against God. Do you vote. Why?

I am glad that you fight for God. Any political position could be OK so long as it does not oppose God. Which party is God's? If I knew of one I would join it. My problem with man's politics is the same one I have with church politics. I have voted, but each time I do, it requires more prayer to decide first whether or not I should [vote at all] and then which way God wants me display my support.

Race always exists and is one if not the top motivator of why people do what they do. Though most like to deny it.

It exists and always has existed when there were any differences to be observed with perceptions that men had. But, taking any side but God's is to run to our race, tribe, party, nation, co-operative, union, army, government is wherein one of the primary problems, [as I see it], lies. A Christian's "top motivator" should be God's will. We should never presume that our will always coincides exactly with His. Jesus taught us by example to pray and then ask for God's will rather than whatever our own would be. [Matt 26:36-44]

Again you act as if taking a political view is going against God. Why?

Because most of the time for most people it is. [I have been there and done that too many times myself to believe otherwise.] They go ahead without first checking with God or they pray that God be with them in their direction as they choose it for themselves without asking for waiting for His answer:

"O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps." Jerem 10:23

"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:" Matt 7:7

If one side is passing laws that are contrary to God, should you be for or against it?
Which side was God on during this nation's Civil War? Probably the majority on each side believe that God was with them. Who is to decide what laws are contrary to God? The Republicans? The Democrats? The Blacks? The Whites? The Native Americans? You? Me? What is needed is more prayer and checking in with God for an answer before pushing ahead with we believed was right beforehand.

Remember after God's great victory over Jericho, how the comparitively tiny city of Ai defeated the Israelites who presumed they could go ahead on their own against such a little enemy. Joshua tore his clothes when he saw it and lay down on his face in anguish, but what did God do?

"And the LORD said unto Joshua, Get thee up; wherefore liest thou thus upon thy face?
Israel hath sinned, and they have also transgressed my covenant which I commanded them: for they have even taken of the accursed thing, and have also stolen, and dissembled also, and they have put it even among their own stuff." Joshua 7"10-11

There was sin in the camp and they only knew of it after the defeat because they did not check in with God beforehand.

Or, should you just be neutral and be willing to live under laws contrary to God. Which means you now have to obey such laws and were part of the reason they were placed there.

"Real Repentance" for this country is not going to happen.

You may be right on Real Repentance, but should we presume that we know the mind of God and go ahead on our own course full steam ahead? Is not this what so many people have done so many times in the past? "God's not going to do it, so I will so ahead and do it myself". Is that what we then should say and do?

It has taken the wrong road of equality, and diversity, to the degree that we have peopled the country with so many different types of people, cultures, religion, that it is impossible. We elevate all minority cultures and faiths, and trample on our own. So, you can forget any repentance for this country. It has nothing but judgement in the future.

And what is it that is impossible for God? To fix this nations woes? He can and will if it needs to be done or if the people humble themselves. Only God can say whether or not it Needs to be done. While the humbling themselves may be unlikely should we forge ahead based on our own understanding alone?

"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." Prov 3:5-6

And what is this "our own" of which you speak? Who is included in the antecedent for the pronoun, "our"? What gives them the precedence over anyone you would exclude? Why should only the voluntary immigrants be included? What about the those and their descendants brought her forcibly? What of those who were here already and living on the land before the great influx especially of the WASP [white, anglosaxon, protestant] from Europe?

:) I don't vote at all and have no regrets about it, nor do I ever feel the need to pray to God about whether or not I should ever vote. You should try it sometimes. Believe me, it will set your mind, body and soul free from Satan's dog and pony show. If God still hasn't answered your prayers about who to vote for, then I 'm not surprised, because a democratic process is not his way of running things nor will it ever be when he returns. No one is going to elect Jesus Christ to rule the nations but the Father. He's not an elected official, he's the King of kings. How America will be run won't be up to you or me or 'Stranger', or his pal Donald Trump and influenced by the prejudices of men.

preaching, to the choir?

This is the politics section, so I don't am I? You tell me. Will there be elections as we see it today at all under Gods rule? It doesn't seem like it, and I sure as hell hope not. As much as people put their faith in the system, what I said is exactly what needed to be said.

I am glad you have received the word that you never need to pray about this thing of voting again. My best friend who has not attended church services regularly in 11 years came to United States from Mexico about 40 years ago. After receiving his U.S citizenship naturalization papers he voted the first time he was eligible but never again after that due to his convictions. Unlike you after all of those years of not voting because of his convictions, God told him to vote for Trump in the most recent presidential election and he did. You should be listening to God all of the time, not just when you feel the need to ask Him a question. Remember Ai! [Joshua 7]

About the democratic process, I agree that God does not work that way. His government is rather different, isn't it? How many people, I wonder, would be willing to draws lots to decide who fills the position of a missing pastor? That would be trusting God, wouldn't it?

ha, just struck me funny, you advising him to not do what he already doesn't lol; at least if i understood right

So you think my response was just aimed at him? Like I said, people put too much stock in the political process. They put their trust in that even more so than God.

what i don't get is how anyone might be lured into legitimizing such a system by voting within it, if they see that.
it strikes me as "i have no hope for this system whatsoever, so i better go and vote for...someone in the system! yay!"
lol

yes, i agree. And it was just the phrasing that tickled me, i guess, having read your post right after his, where it seemed like you were advising him to (not) do what he had just finished essentially stating that he was (not) doing. But i misconstrue things sometimes, it could easily have been that i am due for a nap now, too lol

Its not even supposed to be a democratic process in the church, yet many of them do. Its not supposed to be up to every single church member to decide who becomes pastor. Its supposed to be up to the elders only. We see a similar set up even in heaven with God and his 24 elders. It won't be just the elders either so it seems, as the prophet Daniel in chapter 7 described his 'ministers' by the thousands that will be set up on judgement day. That's as far any democratic process will go under Gods rule, if that's what you even want to call it, because these are elders and ministers that God alone elects. Thankfully, neither your friend or Stranger with his prejudices will have a say in the matter.
