Then why can't you call me by my name Miz GodsGrace?
I call you by your name, don't I, Miz GodsGrace?
OK OK
I'll make an exception in YOUR VERY SPECIAL CASE.
I call everybody by their initials, but I'll call YOU Rollo.
How's that?
Happy now?

Do you agree with me that the closer you draw to God the MORE you "feel" like a sinner because you realize more when you sin, even though it might be less. You understand more how Holy God is and how incapable we are?

This is how we "feel"... I'm not saying God sees us this way.
He now sees us through the eyes of His Son.
I once felt that way, yes, but I've moved past that.
There is always the next step, even if you don't realize it.

HI GG,

If one is OSAS AND has "eternal security" then what does it matter if they sin? Won't they still go to heaven?

Who defines "real Christian"? What is a "real Christian"? If I think I am a real Christian, does that make me a real Christian? Or do I go in front of a jury of "real Christians", they ask me 100 questions and they vote if I answered the questions correctly??? Who gets to be in that inquisition? Only real Christians?

No....I have no proof of a person being saved and then deciding to abandon God. That is because no one knows if they are saved and scripture makes it clear that salvation is not assured and that we must work for it.

The best example of a person I can give as "proof" is Charles Templeton. He is one of millions if not billions who "abandoned God".

I already know the logic of OSAS people. Charles Templeton was never really saved and he was never a "real Christian". Even though he thought he was saved and everyone around him thought he was saved....he really wasn't. It is a dishonest copout to make their OSAS theory work. The OSAS theory is not biblical and it is dangerous.

Mary
OSAS is only dangerous if you don't take your faith seriously, which could easily add up to not being really saved.
Ray Boltz, the great song writer, singer, musician, after many years of hit songs and fame, finally admitted he could no longer hide his homosexualism and had to tell the world about it.
He then disappeared from recording Christian songs, found a group of so-called Christians in a so-called Christian church and became one of them.
He still writes and performs what he calls Christian music but his audience is gone.
The heart breaking question that everyone asked, "how could a man who wrote such beautiful Christian songs give it all up to be a homosexual?
This is at the heart of OSAS.
Either he was never saved or God will get him back in the end.
One or the other.

well, but you are saying the same of our Prophets, right

who are being oppressed is pretty apparent, Bella
Who is being oppressed?
You make a cartoon of M and you risk your life.
Do Christians behave this way?
How many times do you hear the word JESUS said in a movie as a curse. Let's try changing that to MUHAMMAD.
Ya.

No. 99% of the bible is inspired by GOD.
God does not want to tell people how to use the toilet.
Some small parts of the O.T. were not inspired.

As to 'if a person falls away', I would say you always have those who mix with Christians and go to church, who are not Christians. And many times it will be these that you see as fallen away.

As to 'if a believer falls away, was he saved to begin with?', yes he was saved to begin with, and is still saved, but has fallen away.

'Fallen away' is certainly a warning to believers, with consequences, but is not a loss of salvation.

Stranger

I have just seen this...amen...Well said.
.....I didn't know that we agreed so much. :D

And your first statement- *"I agree with you. Once we are saved I believe we should sin boldly and sin often since we have no fear of going to hell."

I have never said this and you will never hear me say it.
You are being swayed by other people's interpretation of once saved, always saved.

Funny ...very true... :)
When they don't like what we say, they always dig into their bag of tricks and pull that same old chestnut out once again. LOL

It only show up that with that attitude they have no idea what grace really means, or what the 'commandments written on our heart' means to those who love God and are governed by and harnessed through His love.
