Our walk of faith is to grasp that which seems impossible. Being willing to looks like fools for Christ’s sake in the eyes of the world. 1 Cor 4:10
Placing one foot firmly on the Immovable Rock , and on the solid word of God.

“ For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus , has made me free from the law of sin and death ..for what the law could not do, through the weakness of the flesh, God “..did..

I don't believe that we have really begun to understand the marvellous power there is in being still. We are in such a hurry ~ we must always be doing...so much so that we are in danger of not giving God a chance to work.
We may depend upon it, God says to us, "Stand still," or "Sit still," or "Be still," when He is getting ready to do something.
This is our trouble regard to our Christian life; we want to "do something" to be a better Christian when we need to let Him work in us.

We know how still we have to be when your photo is being taken.
Now God has one eternal purpose concerning us, and that is that we should be like His Son; and in order that this can be so, we must be passive and quiet in His hand.
We hear so much about activity, may be we need to know what it is to be still.

~ Grace is the key to holiness. That is why it is so important for every child of God to become established in His perfect love and anchored in His unconditional grace toward them.
Grace imparts to us the power to perform and to live a life above defeat.~

~ By Albert Finch ~

Humanity without Christ at the center is satanic in nature. When you've been given the Spirit of God, you lose the privilege of claiming, "I'm only human." Paul rebukes the church at Corinth for behaving like mere men (1 Corinthians 3:3).
The gate of hell is in our minds any time we agree with a man-centered perspective or natural wisdom that does not know God. We empower demonic forces and become a gate to release his power to kill, steal, and destroy our lives.

Very well put.

You have not yet resisted to the point of shedding blood in your striving against sin; .... The contest has been maintained but feebly, for no blood has flowed in their struggle with temptation and sin; they have not deserted the arena, but have shrunk from the suffering which a determined struggle would have caused.

Good one! And true...a way to go yet!!

No chance hath brought this ill to me;
'Tis God's own hand, so let it be,
He seeth what I cannot see.
There is a need-be for each pain,
And He one day will make it plain
That earthly loss is heavenly gain.
Like as a piece of tapestry
Viewed from the back appears to be
Naught but threads tangled hopelessly;
But in the front a picture fair
Rewards the worker for his care,
Proving his skill and patience rare.
Thou art the Workman, I the frame.
Lord, for the glory of Thy Name,

Perfect Thine image on the same.

He has kept us safe up to now.
So we will hold His loving hand tightly, and He will lead us safely through all things. And when we cannot stand, He will carry us in His arms.

We do not look ahead to what may happen tomorrow. The same everlasting Father who cares for us today will take care of us tomorrow and every day.

Either He will shield us from suffering or He will give us His unwavering strength that we may bear it.
Be at peace, then, and set aside all anxious thoughts and worries.

Did you know that the words we speak to ourselves..the thoughts we dwell on, receive, and personalize affect who we are?
Everything we do flows from them. That’s why it’s so important for us to guard our hearts from allowing any junk to enter.

Be diligent to guard our hearts today. And, as we do, centre our thoughts on God. As a result, our love for Him will become a part of all we do, say, think, and perceive!

  • John did no miracle, but Jesus said that among those born of women there had not appeared a greater than he.

John’s main business was to bear witness to the Light, and this may be yours and mine. John was content to be only a voice, if men would think of Christ.

Be willing to be only a voice, heard but not seen; a mirror whose surface is lost to view, because it reflects the dazzling glory of the sun; a breeze that springs up just before daylight, and says, “The dawn! the dawn!” and then dies away.

We are doing more good than we know, sowing seeds, starting streamlets, giving men true thoughts of Christ, to which they will refer one day as the first things that started them thinking of Him; and, of my part, I shall be satisfied if no great mausoleum is raised over my grave, but that simple souls shall gather there when I am gone, and say,

“He was a good man; he wrought no miracles, but he spake words about Christ, which led me to know Him for myself.”

It all begins with what we have.
When Moses was heading to Egypt, he told God he needed a sign to reassure him. God asked, “What is in your hand?” When Moses laid it down, God used the rod to provide for Moses and all the Israelites (Exodus 4:1-3, 14:16).

When a widow needed financial help, Elisha asked what she had in her house. She said she had a small amount of oil, so he told her to borrow jars to pour the oil in. God then multiplied it until every jar was full (2 Kings 4:1-7).

Though God created the universe from nothing, He still often chooses to take the ordinary things of our lives and transform them for our benefit, for ministry to others, and, ultimately, for His glory. Perhaps what you’re looking for from God is already in your hand?

Lord, show us how to trust You with what we have.
Give us grace to give back to You what we think is ours so You can use it to bless us and others. Amen!

A fool's eyes are in the ends of the earth but wisdom is right in front of the face of him that understands... Proverbs 17:24

Luke 17:21 KJVS
Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

What's in your hand is what's been placed within your heart .

David the Shepherd boy found 5 smooth stones. One for Mr. Goliath and one for each of the other Goliath family's sons should they decide to step into the fray.

EVERY jot and EVERY tittle in the BOOK is meaningful.

Eg. Brother Paul said;

1 Corinthians 14:19 KJVS
Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue.

Which five words?
These five.
Ephesians 4:11 KJVS
And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

MIRRORS..

Regarding mirrors mentioned...The Holy Spirit years ago showed me a plain picture of believers as light bearers and as also light reflectors, i.e. mirrors. I saw a large mirror on a mountain with the sun above sending brilliant rays onto the mirror, that's us, which in turn redirected those rays down into the blackest caves and caverns. Mirrors redirect light to places where they cannot actually be present. Light of the gospel is straight. False prophets and teachers "bend" the light of the gospel and as defective mirrors, reflect a false gospel by bending the truth.

This forum is an example of redirected light. We place our words here in the form of testimonies, biblical scripture revelations, the light of the gospel sent via our words, pictures and so forth.

The men who have done the most for God in this world have been early upon their knees.
Matthew Henry used to be in his study at four, and remain there till eight; then, after breakfast and family prayer, he used to be there again till noon; after dinner, he resumed his book or pen till four, and spent the rest of the day in visiting his friends.

Doddridge himself alludes to his "Family Expositor" as an example of the difference of rising between five and seven, which, in forty years, is nearly equivalent to ten years more of life.

Dr. Adam Clark's "Commentary" was chiefly prepared very early in the morning. Barnes' popular and useful "Commentary" has been also the fruit of "early morning hours."

Evil never surrenders its hold without a sore fight.
We never pass into any spiritual inheritance through the delightful exercises of a picnic, but always through the grim contentions of the battle field. It is so in the secret realm of the soul. Every faculty which wins its spiritual freedom does so at the price of blood.
Apollyon is not put to flight by a courteous request; he straddles across the full breadth of the way, and our progress has to be registered in blood and tears. This we must remember or we shall add to all the other burdens of life the gall of misinterpretation.
We are not "born again" into soft and protected nurseries, but in the open country where we suck strength from the very terror of the tempest.
"We must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God."

David out of some bitter experience cried out. “Oh, that I had wings like a dove! Then would I fly away, and be at rest” Ps. 55:6.
But before he finished his meditation he seems to have realized that his wish for wings was possible. As he says, “Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He will sustain thee.

Crushing weights give the Christian wings. It seems like a contradiction in terms, but it is a real blessed truth.
I used to say to my grand kids whenever they left our house.
" Remember, You have wings.."
We so often forget that we have.

If we’re dealing with disappointment today, it can make us feel empty. Disappointment is draining, isn’t it?

God wants to fill us today with leak-proof hope. Don’t we all need hope that doesn’t evaporate in the heat of trials? Thank You for Your hope that is bigger than any disappointment we face. We lean hard into your hope today.
And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us." Romans 5:5
