The OP asks if homosexuality and Christianity are compatible and orthodox. I maintain that ancient history shows that the early church thought so.
One cannot appeal to Romans 1 to back their anti lgbt feelings. It does not address the issue. What Romans 1 addresses is what Plato wrote concerning lust, not attraction. They are different elements. Lust is not attraction. Plato wrote (in short) that attraction could be eliminated by removing the attraction. That a person will still be filled with lust even though what the person lusted after is removed. (Think money).
For so long we have been mistaught that Romans 1 teaches that 'against nature's was a sin from that passage. It actually is not. Any kind of birth control (condoms, pill) is also 'against nature' but just as in Romans 1 it isn't the sin, lust is.

God And His Word's Are Anti LGBT Homosexuality, Anti Fornication, And Anti Adultery.

Plato and his vain philosophy of man has no bearing on truth, God's word's are the guiding light to life and eternal salvation.

Your belief is in error of biblical truth, God's word openly condemns male and female homosexuality.

I Totally Agree!!!! If I agree to that form of Lifestyle, then I am Guilty of Saying it is Ok, and then I am Guilty of perpetuating that Abomination!

Growing up I live under Great fear of my dad, and I always thought that I had it bad, until I witnessed other's that had it worse, and from that time on I was able to see where Compassion was needed, long before I excepted the Gift of our Savior, "Salvation" We live in a world of Evil, but we can not turn our back's on even those that walk not in the Grace of Our Savior! God gave Me a Heart long before He drew me to the Gift, you know the free Gift of His Sacrifice, so that We can now serve Him. and in serving Him I have to have His Heart, even Our Savior wept for those that did not except Him, God forgive them, [for lack of understanding] for what they do!

Do you know that Sodom has been found just out side of Israel, and that there is un-surmountable evidence that there was a Sodom and that there is evidence of the structure's burned with Brimstone. Is this teaching from the Universalism church doctrine? Please don't insult God with this complete and total false doctrine about His Word....Are you aware of why God is very adamant about teaching us to avoid lusts and fornication, adultery, sexual immorality? Spiritual soul ties...you become as one flesh.....so if someone is out there fornicating with someone different every weekend then they are becoming very bound up in ties to many souls and some aren't so nice....demonic in fact. Homosexuality is a strong demonic spirit that places strongholds on people and they become bound to the lust of their flesh or desires being deceived into believing this is something they were born with....go read some testimonies of many who have been delivered and set free of homosexual desires.
