The pool(s) are warm about 87 deg. F and the temp with the humidity a little more....evert day now from noon till dust and into the night the summer storms threaten to strike....we get some good rains for the shrubs and lawn and the squirrels and everyone is happy.

Well , it's good when every one and every thing is happy. :)
87 a bit too hot for me. I guess when it is constant it is easier...but when it vacillates to extremes like it does, it is hard to ever get adjusted to it.

Our summers are so short up here. And we are still waiting for it to start. By September it is all over,...so we only have a few weeks :(

No, I don't think so! You have humidity too don't you? Or is that Brad, I forget.

I hope your heat isn't too much of a challenge physically for you and Kathy.
My brother is 82 and it's hot where he is in England, and he almost fainted.
Both extremes are hard to deal with.. too hot and too cold...
Hummm there must be a spiritual 'type' in that. :)

Bless you.
Yes, we have humidity!

It has not really been super hot as heat goes. It is only in the 90's at the peak but even in the high 80's with humidity it can get quite uncomfortable. When I walk to our mail box about 25 to 30 yards away I have to walk slowly but not too slow in order to make it without difficulty. I really need to lose some weight. My extra belly tells me about when it's hot and I can no longer walk and play my harmonica. I have to do one or the other. Doing the two simultaneously will make it necessary to stop both in order to catch my breath.

Kathy does better in walking than I do without the heat index. With the heat she avoids it altogether if she can because of her asthma...

Try a vacation at Disney world in the winter...I can be a guide of sorts...

I think I could melt my extra weight off in 90 degs!!! But here I can't sleep when so hot. Do you have A/C there? We don't! :(

No @Triumph1300 is in the next Province to us, and further north of us.
He is in a pretty setting...but we did live in his Province for a year once (Vancouver)..but hated it...it is like breathing under water...I hate humidity.
We couldn't wait to get back to dry Alberta. It Prairie here....but only an hour from the mountains and lakes of a National Park...so we have the best of both worlds :)
Oh that sounds beautiful!
I've always wanted to visit Alberta --- too late now.
Lake Louise and the like. But we have some beautiful lakes here too.
Two very close to me, about 45 minutes away. Others are farther away, up north.
Like Lake Lugano in Switzerland, Lake Garda in Italy. I don't care much for Lake Como but it's very nice too. It's a nice region up there. About 3 hours away.

Do we have A/C?
What a silly question.. do birds fly?
My hubby can't live without AC!!

It's the lukewarm that's the problem!

Oh my word...I honestly have no idea how you do it!!
You are a champ.

To me 97 degrees is the tipping point. Before that it is fairly comfortable. But 97 and on, it becomes uncomfortable. To see the 7 day forecast with nothing but triple digits for the high, is discouraging. I think we get a break today due to possible rain.

Use fans to bring in night air. In the morning take fans down and close up the house. Works till about 2:00. Then you just do what you can.

Yes...it is Banff and Lake Louise that we are close to.
I have got used to loving the Lakes and Mountains.....seeing and breathing in 'God' if you know what I mean. But actually it is the sea that is in my blood.
Back in England we lived by the sea. It has so many 'moods'. Angry and noisy ..to calm and lapping.. with so many different colour changes.
It wasn't a very nice beach as it pebbles there....but we got used to that.
Yes, mountains and lakes are nice, ..love waterfalls...but give me the sea any day. Evening walks with the dog....bliss. :)

I love the mountains and lakes the most.
I'd miss the beach if I couldn't get to it...but just knowing I could go is enough for me. Last year I never went and didn't miss it. My daughter and I used to go to take the girls when they were younger. Now they don't seem to care anymore. Hubby doesn't like it.

And, yes, I know what you mean. I see God everywhere around here...

Hey @Grams

Long time no hear....
How are you doing?

The weather seems a bit crazy this year.
Because I am English I try and watch their weather over there.
Some places haven't had a drip of rain for almost 5 months.
All their grass is dead..and the cows have nothing but last years hay etc.
Sad days.

It is lovely here...prefect.

The one upside of this is that no one here has to water their grass every day!!
I guess it is better than the dry storms with the dry lightening with restarts all the forrest fires around here.

So, yes, it's a strange "summer " but it does have it's upsides. :)

I think in your neck of the woods, rain would feel good BUT, then the Humidity.
Same here, we had a long rain about two week ago, we sat out front and enjoyed 76 degrees, then it stopped, and the sun came out and the steam arose! 113 at the end of the day + Humidity
