I thought to list a few things from the bible that we can contemplate as to the nature of the New Covenant. The whole thing is based on the impossible. We all know that Jesus did the impossible as if it was ordinary....but so did His followers.

When Peter was imprisoned and the chains fell away, the guards fell into a trance and the angel of God opened the doors...

That's impossible!

When Ananias heard the voice of the Lord to go lay hands on Saul to receive his sight back and be filled with the Holy Spirit...

That's impossible!

When in Antioch the Holy Spirit spoke audibly for all to hear....a voice directly from heaven..

That's impossible!

When Paul and Silas were imprisoned in Philippi and the earthquake made the chains fall away and the doors open..

That's impossible!

When Paul spoke to the sorcerer that he should be blind for a while...so that he instantly became blind..

That's impossible!

My purpose here is that we get in on the fun! We need to start asking the Lord for the impossible.

Amen indeed.
Good work. I find because we are not "seeing" the impossible as we did in the 60's , I have settled for the mediocre ...shame on me.
Your word spoke to me today...thank you!

A Word in season....

With the Difficulties we face daily, as @amadeous posted on another thread today, Sufficient is the Evil of the day! I think the only thing that seems to be Impossible is for us to shed Doubt! Today my Wife still need's a healing! is it Impossible for God? NO, But do we even though we have yet to see it, Still believe that it is Possible?????
Your Post was Also something I needed today! THANK YOU!

With God ALL things are possible.
Yes indeed. Since God created everything OUT OF NOTHING then all things are indeed possible with God.

At the same time, anything which violates the character of God is not possible with God.

King James Version
God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? (Numbers 23:19)

We get so used to relying on our own power to do things. We can get in the car and go places...and really control a lot of what we do in a day. How much do we rely on God for?

Did Philip the evangelist rely on a human form of transportation? No, actually he was "raptured" by the Spirit from one town to the next! Talk about public transit!

Now that's impossible!

Being self-employed I rely on God for everything.
And you can clearly see things manifest. (While my friends often take for granted
their steady paychecks...I sure don't!)
Being lost in a new area is another time when my practice of relying on Him always
really shines.
I empty my mind so much, giving him my burdens....of indecision or needing
help with how to do something ...and He always pops something into my head.
When I lose something...I give Him that burden, also...in one minute He tells me...
"Look under the newspaper.'' And there it is!
I could actually give a list of how I rely on Him.
He is pretty much my Guide in everything....for over a decade now. :)

I Truly Agree, It can be a Struggle in the Carnal sense to release out worries, concern's, and most difficult is Doubt.

Thank you for understanding, Truth. *hug*
Um, but, I must say...it actually isn't difficult or a struggle to release worries or doubt.
It's a piece o' cake. Ya just trust in the Father!!!
Like Nike...ya 'Just do it!'
Then ...sit back and watch Him unfold His Grace.

(I mean, I'm just talkin' from my exp...I know many talk scripture and high fla-lutin' stuff...
But when the rubber hits the pavement...I have exp'd God ALWAYS comes through for me.
It would be a shock if He didn't...it's funny to even say that ...because I can't imagine it.)
I am a down to the earth single, self employed person that relies 100% on my Father ...and some friends think I am nuts.
I have the same life issues that anyone has...even more so!
(You heard the words 'single and self-employed)
But they watch...and they 'see'...omg how things just 'happen' for Miss H.

AND, because of God's Grace I make things happen for others...;)

I tend to not be clear, for my Wife and I have had to rely totally on God, many time in the past 36 years, We haven't received that great abundance taught by the Prosperity Preachers. LOL!
I was speaking/ writing in the context of a majority of folk's who struggle with This Trust, Faith!

When Paul and Silas sat in prison and were freed in the earthquake it was dark and the jailer in another place. But the Holy Spirit gave Paul a word of knowledge.

Acts 16:27-28 KJVS
And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled.
[28] But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here.

It was dark in those cells and Paul could not see with his, eyes yet knew the jailer's intent. The jailer had to be told they were yet present.

This is example of the word of knowledge by the Holy Spirit.

I am also a single woman and rely on Him for the smallest of things and when the big things come, I pray, and watch Him work-is exciting, IMO ♥ He has not failed me yet, on the contrary-His answers are usually way above and beyond what I had prayed for!

That a Universalist might actually be saved...that's impossible!

Prayers...Nothing is impossible with God.
