Because it contradicts the rest of NT scripture on the spiritual nature of the kingdom
Paul spoke of the existing physical kingdom of Israel. And the spiritual kingdom that remained when God removed the physical kingdom along with the physical Jews. OT Israel was always unbelievers with a few believers (the church). You're going to have to show me an example but consider this: 1 Cor. 15:44-50 - "44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. (and there is a natural kingdom and a spiritual kingdom) 45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit." We inherit the natural kingdom through Adam and the spiritual kingdom from Jesus.
46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. And so it is with the kingdom of God we are first part of it in the natural but we can access the spiritual kingdom through faith in Christ with the help of the Holy Spirit, but only part-time.
47 The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven.
48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. Presently we are doing both if we a living a Christ-centered life. It's hard to say but many Christians do not bear the image of the heavenly. many times you can't tell the difference between them and the world and it's getting worse all the time.
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption." We can not fully access the kingdom of God until we die or are changed at the rapture so to believe we are living in the spiritual kingdom now with nothing to look forward to, just isn't correctly understanding the teaching of the new testament. Revelation doesn't change anything it brings out the literal reality of where we are, who we are and what the world will go through to truly experience the kingdom of God, here on earth as prophesied many times in the OT.
Try junking most of what you've been taught and reading the bible for yourself. You have quite an imagination.

Are you saying only you have the truth?I am non-denominational and studying for 58 years.
You have already admitted to denominational doctrines.
You say you have studied the Bible for 58 years. How come you miss the truth of there being only one people of God?Israel is the wife of God, not Christ. The church the bride of Christ.
The new covenant will be to the houses of Judah and Israel, not the church.,
Gentiles are Gentiles, not Jews. Jews compose Israel, not Gentiles.
Israel and church are coheirs, not the same heir.

They were never promised a millennial kingdom. Jesus fulfilled the Kingdom promises at his first advent now continuing through the second advent, culminating in Israel's restoration in the New Heavens and earth. Even Abraham looked for a heavenly country based on the promises that far exceeded Canaan's capacity to accommodate them.Israel never attained the millennial-like kingdom that was promised to them. They had the opportunity but they blew it. Israel was never the "church" in the NT manner.

Hello @Trekson,Trekson:
'... ... Therefore I suggest that we, the church as the Body of Christ, are not the bride but are united with Christ as the bridegroom. ... ... '
Your objection to the Church being the Bride of Christ is more psychological than biblical. Therefore I suggest that we, the church as the Body of Christ, are not the bride but are united with Christ as the bridegroom.
Your objection to the Church being the Bride of Christ is more psychological than biblical.
The Bible presents the Church in several metaphors which include the Body, the Bride, and the Building of Christ, as well as the Lamb's Wife. You are rejecting what Scripture reveals, and to him that hath not, even that which he hath will be taken away. It is a dangerous game to reject Bible truth because our humanistic reasoning cannot comprehend it.

There are a few more scriptures, all in Revelation, that may shed some light on this subject. Rev. 21:2 - I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared "AS" a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.
In the first two, the bride "IS" the New Jerusalem, ...
the wrath of the Lamb is about to come in Rev. 6:17.
Both clarify the fact that the event being spoken of has not yet occurred but is about to.
This scripture is speaking of a time after the seven vials of wrath have been poured out; so from this verse alone the picture of the church as the pre-tribulational bride and our wedding being in heaven for the previous seven years has absolutely no foundation.
Israel never attained the millennial-like kingdom that was promised to them. They had the opportunity but they blew it. Israel was never the "church" in the NT manner.
