Brother I guess that would depend on ones concept of what a good thing is.
ok, but some of the instances of "caught up" are maybe suggesting some scenarios, bam pull out your fave and let's look if you want

but this somehow conflating with rapture through Latin is strictly a ploy to avoid that our "rapture" in English Bibles from whence it derived--the rape thing; English is descended from Latin right--is never xlated from harpazo. Never
i think the similarity with rape is maybe even another plank tbh

John 5:24 - Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.

If we "do not come into judgement", which we know to be the lake of fire, the second death, then is it not sensible to assume that the first resurrection is that momentous transaction that Christ performs when he takes our old, dead self and replaces it with new life?

I see. I guess I never really connected these verses with being born again before, but I concede this makes sense. John 5:25 also says

Very truly I tell you, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live.

@Naomi25

Do you claim the 1000 year reign is currently happening at this moment then?

Because we would disagree on that point

Nice :D
An aeon is right in that range, huh
That is tough. Romans 8:20-21 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, [21] Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

Vanity and the bondage of corruption...delivered into the glorious liberty of the children of God. I’ll try not to ramble. He said to set our affection higher on the New Jerusalem, on the world to come and not this one. That we are just passing through. At the same time, the earth in the bondage of corruption is promised deliverance. Same as the body. You are pointing at delivernace from Spiritual death instead of physical because ‘immortality’ you caution at, yeah? But part of the corruption is linked to physical death and man’s quest to consume all he can before his time is up and someone else enjoys his hard earned labour. We watch wrinkles and decay and deterioration of our bodies and the earth also under the bondage of corruption. All are promised deliverance from death. There is the mention of where moth do not eat and destroy. But then I also pause at even calling decay bad since it can also be good. Only God knows. Bondage of corruption...without vanity, sin and death. Evil, death, and cursing swallowed up in victory by Life, good, and blessing. What is the vail covering eyes so they see not?

Do heed your warning though at “immortality”. Been thinking about all man does to obtain “immortality” of their god(s). In ancient times breaking the jaws of corpses and shoving things down their throats in belief of a safe passage into an afterlife and immortality. Thought a lot about it actually since you mentioned it as a possible fear of death...which in itself is vanity. 1 Timothy 1:17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Can say I have wanted to be wise. Can say I have wanted to eternal and immortal. Can’t say I have ever wanted to be invisible. Kind of get, maybe, your hinting at man’s long time quest to be AS God...don’t know the answer to your intital question.
well then for you I would say look at how you came to define what you know as "you," which is strictly a perception, ok, your imagination of yourself, called ego. And recall that the whole journey is characterized also at least as a "going back" to something lost, "become like little children."

You could even regress to the day you looked in the mirror and realized that that was you, believe it or not, about age 1.5 or 2. Memories before this threshold are rare I guess. You aren't going to find any of these phrases relevant in google searches btw, but trust me the memory will speak for itself, find an amer Indian for that.

So we are talking about a very real death I guess, only see everyone wants to go to heaven after they die, tomorrow. These are doomed if they do not change their minds

You quoted me saying that.

Says the man who paraphrases the Bible into what he wants it to say versus what it actually was.

Who does exactly what he accuses others, being never actually copies and pastes a verse.

I have no idea what you are talking about CoreIssue. You sound like "bbyrd" here.

When Jesus abolished circumcision, only the believers from the 12 tribes remained. The unbelievers became gentiles and lost tribal membership.
We all know that unbelievers have nothing to do with the Kingdom of God or the future kingdom of Israel. The 12 tribes of Israel will continue for all eternity as redeemed, regenerated, and restored Jews after the Second Coming of Christ:

And [the New Jerusalem] had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels,
and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel (Rev 21:12)

EZEKIEL 36
22 Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name's sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went.
23 And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.
24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.
25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.
26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
27 And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
28 And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.

I guess you didn't get the Memo from the CEO (Christ)...
And I guess you failed to understand a very simple truth -- unbelieving Jews (just like unbelieving Gentiles) are excluded from the Kingdom of God. And that is all that those verse are saying. And we all know this already.

So why do you try to put unbelievers into the picture to uphold you false ideas?

You really don't know what you're talking about, because the ten northern tribes of Israel never were known... by the title of Jew.
The term "Jew" is used in the New Testament for Israelites and Israel. The twelve tribes. Go and check it out for yourself. And God knows all those who belong to the 10 tribes. Even though only the province of Judah remained after the Babylonian captivity, the term "Israel" is used for Jews, and "Jews" for Israel.

The twelve tribes are either believers in Christ. Paul was of the tribe of Benjamin, or they are disbarred as unbelievers and now gentiles. This is because Christ abolished circumcision on the cross leaving Only believers as Israel.
