The term "Jew" is used in the New Testament for Israelites and Israel. The twelve tribes. Go and check it out for yourself. And God knows all those who belong to the 10 tribes. Even though only the province of Judah remained after the Babylonian captivity, the term "Israel" is used for Jews, and "Jews" for Israel.
The top line of your quote of me I said. No idea how that other part got in there.
Still don't know what you are talking about--I guess I'll have to go back and check--do you have the number of the post?
You accused me of being a false prophet and deceiver -- prove it.Prove me wrong by giving direct scripture quotes for anything you say.

Ya, Dave L called me a false prophet and a deceiver---twice.You are right to challenge him--I assume it is Dave L.?
Not "we" --Dave L , it's the attempt at silencing those who disagree with him and believe in the rapture & the tribulation. It's bearing false witness. And now we're at the point where accusations are flying off the handle towards one another...
I am not certain what it is you want, but I move ahead with what I see...@amadeus , I wonder if you could help here ty
Correct. I simply did not bring that up. And the proof of that is the epistle of James, addressed to the believing Jews who were scattered abroad after the persecution of Hebrew Christians by unbelieving Jews at the time of the apostles. In fact, Enoch, there were remnants of all the Tribes living in Israel at the time of Jesus (and maybe even today?)
And for one easy example:In fact, Enoch, there were remnants of all the Tribes living in Israel at the time of Jesus (and maybe even today?) as has been pointed out by someone here. When the Ten Northern Tribes fell into idolatry, many of the faithful of Israel set off for Judah and Jerusalem. Presumably those descendants carried forward (but were likely blended into Judah for all practical purposes). However, Saul/Paul understood that his ancestors were from the tribe of Benjamin.
The whole thing is a smoke screen. To distract from the GospleAnd for one easy example:
"And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser [Asher, son of Jacob by Zilpah, handmaiden of Leah]: she was of a great age, and had lived with an husband seven years from her virginity;" Luke 2:36
And for one easy example:
"And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser [Asher, son of Jacob by Zilpah, handmaiden of Leah]: she was of a great age, and had lived with an husband seven years from her virginity;" Luke 2:36
Yes, God knows any differences that matter and is able to sort them out if and when it is necessary to do so..The Verse is 2000 years old.
Today we do not know how many know tribes they are.
But at the second coming of Christ will gather them to him Jerusalem and they then will know what tribe they belong to.
I imagine there are even those today that do not even know they are Jewish. And some who think they are who are not.
But it will all get sorted out.

What do these even older words mean?
"But Judah shall dwell for ever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation.
For I will cleanse their blood that I have not cleansed: for the LORD dwelleth in Zion." Joel 3:20-21
What blood is being cleansed?
Consider what was necessary when the Israelites came back from captivity in Babylon having married and had children with the heathen/unbelievers:
"Now therefore let us make a covenant with our God to put away all the wives, and such as are born of them, according to the counsel of my lord, and of those that tremble at the commandment of our God; and let it be done according to the law." Ezra 10:3
That was God's counsel for them then. I would let anyone now to whom it might apply listen to hear God's counsel for this moment or some other moment according to God.
It means once again the KJV is misleading and a bad translation.
Joel 3:20-21 New International Version (NIV)
20 Judah will be inhabited forever
and Jerusalem through all generations.
21 Shall I leave their innocent blood unavenged?
No, I will not.”
As for having children by non-Jews, Mosaic law dealt with making them citizens of Israel.
Parts of the land Judah always have had a remnant. But not so with Jerusalem.
Remember Judah was a tribal land of Israel. All 12 tribes have their own land e xcept for Levi.
I have no trouble much of the time in understanding the role of the children of Israel naturally while living the time of the OT subject to laws gave them through Moses and the prophets. Looking for any meaning of those same words [scriptures] to people NOT living under those laws in that time period can at times be more difficult. Sometimes we do not need to know and sometimes it is simply not God's time to give us understanding.
I have a perhaps unrelated question [which may be off topic for which I apologize] I have asked of many people in the past with assorted answers. Why is the tribe of Dan missing from Revelation chapter 7? No extensive details please so a not to completely derail the thread. I am simply looking for anything new on the subject which absorbed me for quite a while several years back. If you answer must be lengthy, please consider a PM. Thanks
