No, the entire triune Godhead took on perfect human flesh. And spoke to us in the second person of the trinity as the eternal Son.
this one of the biggest untruth ever told. this is a classic example of trying to cover a lie. let the sscriptures expose this lie clearly. Philippians 2:7 "But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men".

himself is indicating only one "PERSON". another ERROR by dave. just as he ERROR in John 3:13.

his split personality concept is backfiring on him.

the trinity wagon is just dragging the ground, all wheels are off.

I think the doctrine of the trinity is more than most can handle because God is not like anything we can try to compare him to. But as I meditate on the trinity my worship becomes awestruck in that God would let me see into his essence. We can see the trinity several places in the New Covenant. At Jesus' baptism, each member of the Godhead speaking of or spoken of by the others as distinctive individuals, yet all called God. It's there if you look for it. But this is what I've got from scripture so far about God.

He is the Spiritual and in himself he created time, space, and matter. All creatures great and small. And moves everything from the atom to every person or nation to fulfill his assigned plan for his glory. And where the material universe ends, God keeps going in all directions forever without beginning or end.

And within this single spiritual essence exist the Father person, who in love causes the Son person, who with the Father causes the Holy Spirit person in love. This static condition being eternal, time does not exist, so this does not involve change in God. But a constant eternal presence of the three persons.

The Holy Spirit and the Son love the Father person, the Father and the Holy Spirit love the Son person, and the Son and the Father love the Holy Spirit person. In scripture each speaks independently of the others and goes by YAHWEH in the Old Covenant, and Jesus Christ in the New Covenant.

If any can learn of this and meditate on it, it opens a whole new spirituality in worship.
Thanks my friend for trying to deal with this for me but as I have explained elsewhere I cannot deal much with myself now. I don't want to back away from this forum as it has been a sometimes profitable experience including some of your posts so radically opposed to my own. I may have to back away from this forum again for a while. Maybe this is of God, but we shall see.
Keep me in prayer!

Abba Father I lift up our friend @amadeus to You and I ask You to bless him right now with the knowledge of Your grace and mercy and the fact that there is no pressure being applied for him to somehow be able to understand everything that is You. If You want to show Him the answers in Your timing then by all means You are able to do so Lord; but we know that You are a God of grace and that it is not our knowledge but our love that defines us as Christians. If anyone thinks that he knows anything, he knows nothing yet as he ought to know; but if anyone loves God, the same is known of Him. So Father, fill @amadeus with Your love today and please bless Him with an extra dose of Your presence today as He relaxes and spends time with You in a slightly different way...not in pressuring himself to understand something in Your word but relaxing in Your holy presence. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

That prayer may have been inadequate for all I know, perhaps off-target. But I thought I would throw in something as a prayer (since you requested prayer) to let you know that you are loved by the Lord and also by certain of us who come here to minister. Again, perhaps off-target; for I believe that you know that you are loved, and perhaps don't need to hear it from anyone on here. But just in case it is the right word, I did not want to neglect to say it to you.

There is one Spirit (Ephesians 4:4).

The Father is that Spirit (John 4:23-24).

The Holy Ghost is that Spirit (John 7:39).

They are the same Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:4-6).

But they are distinct in that the Father in His pre-incarnate form dwells in eternity (Isaiah 57:15); then descended, taking on the nature of humanity (Isaiah 9:6); and then released Himself back into eternity (Luke 23:46) to dwell outside of time as a distinct Person from the 1st Person of the Trinity. Nevertheless He is the same Person.

Hi justbyfaith,

Perhaps you've looked at this before?

Romans 8:9-11
9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you
.

Much love!

Yes, I've seen that scripture many times. Is there something in particular that you want to say by it?

It seems to me to be very much a proof text for what I am saying....but I will let you go first.

Just that. Although I don't really use the term proof text, just that is sure seems to present this idea, that God is Spirit, and the Father and the Son are Spirit, and there is Spirit separate still, yet, well, you know the rest. Just thought I'd toss this one in.

Much love!

dave said, "the entire triune Godhead took on perfect human flesh". if that's true, then why send the "Son"?. why pray, and why lie and say the Father is greater than I when all supposed to have taken on flesh.

this is a classic example of trying to cover up, and over a lie. it's called obstruction of justice... Ooop's, we mean obstruction of Holiness. the crime or act of willfully interfering with the process of Holiness. wittness tampering of the Holy scriptures, (trying to make the srciptures lie). trying to impede the Holy scriptures by false indoctrination. 2 Timothy 3:7 "Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth".

so now the entire triune Godhead took on human flesh. well if true, (it is not), another mistake for dave. for according to Philippians 2:7 and now dave, God the entire triune godhead G2758 κενόω kenoo (ke-no-ō') or made itself of no reputation, or made all of them empty, abase, neutralize, or none of effect. other words the triune Godhead, according to dave, was no longer the almighty God, in dave view of Philippians 2:7 or any other scripture. for I'm sure, a many of intelligent trinitarians would never agree with that assessment. even a child would know better than that. but this is what you get when a lie is caught ............. tell another.
No reputation: G2758 κενόω kenoo (ke-no-ō') v.
1. to make empty.
2. (figuratively) to abase, neutralize, falsify.
[from G2756]
KJV: make (of none effect, of no reputation, void), be in vain
Root(s): G2756

the Godhead is now "empty", according to dave. if anyone, who is a trinitarian believes this I have some swamp land at high price to sell you.

Same Spirit, the Spirit of Christ is the Holy Spirit "shared", or diversified in flesh as the equal another, glorified in it, per John chapter 17.

Spirit of God is the Holy Spirit without flesh. supporting for both, Luke 24:39 "Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have". God in Glorified flesh.

If the person of the eternal Son made himself of no reputation, how can he not be a "person"?

There is no point in arguing with you because you have your point of view and will very likely not depart from it.

I leave you with this: the key to understanding the Trinity will be, for you, to take Isaiah 9:6 at face value; until you take that step of faith, you will only have dogma to recite.
You are forcing your definition of "Father", which = teacher in Jesus' case, onto the text.

LOL, you said, all the persons was in the flesh.
No, the entire triune Godhead took on perfect human flesh. And spoke to us in the second person of the trinity as the eternal Son.

and as I said, if that was true, (and it's not), then your triune Godhead G2758 κενόω kenoo (ke-no-ō') itself of none effect. and that's the end of your trinity.... LOL. my, my, my.

see how Ignorant your answer was.

and then say it was the second person that spoke... lol.

dave your untruths has caught up with your false trinity.

let us teach you something.

it was the "offspring" the "diversity" of his ownself in flesh that G2758 κενόω kenoo (ke-no-ō') "HIMSELF" while in that flesh.

that's why you could not answer John 3:13. for the Spirit was in heaven and the diversity/the offspring that G2758 κενόω kenoo (ke-no-ō') "HIMSELF" was on Earth.

see we give explination, not vain babblings. the wisdom of God gives us understanding of these Spiritual matters. for .... 1 Corinthians 2:13 "Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
1 Corinthians 2:14 "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. ..... (smile). sorry about that dave........

that still don't change your untruth that all of your triune Godhead took on perfect flesh. it make no difference if pokey the Pig was speaking, your ERROR that all of God G2758 κενόω kenoo (ke-no-ō') themselves in flesh .... lol.

But, Jesus is the same yesterday today and tomorrow. God does not change.

“Now I desire to remind you (even though you have been fully informed of these facts once for all) that Jesus, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, later destroyed those who did not believe.” (Jude 5)
