Irrelevant. God created all creatures.

While both Hippos and Rhinos are large animals, grass and leafy tree eaters, that dwell near water;
neither have long tails or tails of strength comparable to a Cedar.

There is no TERM "dinosaur" in the Bible.

The TERM "dinosaur" was coined in abt. 1840's by a Scientist, who had discovered very large bones.

The TERM "dinosaur" means; in Greek:
Deinos...terrible, or fearful great
Sauros...lizard, or reptile.

Lev 11
[30] And the ferret, and the chameleon, and the lizard, and the snail, and the mole.

Job 40
[15] Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox.
[16] Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly.
[17] He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together.

Not according to Scripture.

He's reading from Genesis 2, not Genesis 1. If you don't have a solid understanding of the entire scriptures, it appears from Genesis 2 that God made Adam BEFORE the plants. But He didn't. Plants were made on Day 3. Man was made on Day 6.

So, the Scientist didn't compare found bones to a rhino, hippos or whales.
But did compare them to Lizards....Which are In Scripture....and he coined the term Dinosaur.

Strongs did not compare Jobs rendering of Behemoth, to an elephant or hippo, calling it patently absurd.

So what is your point?

Are you claiming YOUR POINT IS...[since you brought it up]
The TERM Dinosaur, is reflective of an animal called a Hippo, or a Rhino, or a Whale?

Many animals went extinct, some branched off others. but some mutated. these changes of mutation is what we call microevolution/

gene manipulation occurs in climate changes as well as in geological food, or other types of distributions. here is a good example of some gene manipulation

Mutant Chicken Grows Alligatorlike Teeth
https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/mutant-chicken-grows-alli/

and these gene mutation can occur in different kind of exposure, be it terrestrial, or none.

Genesis 1 is chronological. Genesis 2 is Topical. God created the man from the dust of the ground on day 6. I don't know what you mean by "Only the Sexes". He created the whole man from the dust and breathed in the Breath of Life and man became a living soul on Day 6. The plants were created on day 3, but they had not grown above ground yet by day 6, except for the Garden of Eden which God placed the man in on day 6.

It seems clear to me in Gen. 1 that God made man...last?
thank for the reply Nancy, but consider this, Genesis 2:18 "And the LORD God said, [It is] not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
Genesis 2:19 "And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought [them] unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that [was] the name thereof".

now if Adam was made on day 6 then we have a problem. because the animals was made on day 5 & 6 for the fowl of the air was made on day 5. meaning that adam was here before day 5.

just read the scriptures for yourself.

I believe God PREPARED BEFORE He created.
(The same common theme throughout Scripture, for mankind, to be prepared, before one Acts)

In the beginning, God created the heavens (mentioned first) and the earth (mentioned secondly)

The heavens were created as an ESTATE, for the angels He would create.

The earth was created as an ESTATE, for the animals and mankind He would create.

The Estates, were designed to Sustain the Life of His creations.

Earth is simply Dry Land.

Day One...
God brought forth the Dry Land out from the Waters.
God called forth LIGHT upon the Earth.
(How handy, for God to PREPARE, since Plants NEED Light! )

On Day Three, Trees with editable fruits and Herbs with editable leaves, were planted on the earth, each with their own seeds to Reproduce their same kind of things.

Day Six, man was Created out of the dust (the face surface of the earth).....
AND THEN PUT in Gods Prepared Garden. (Where the WORD/VOICE of God WAS).

And remember, God had to BRING to Adam Animals for Adam to name them....
Bring them from where? Outside of the Garden where they were Created.

And when Adam was booted out of the Garden....How Handy God had PREPARED, fruit trees, for mankind to eat, and herbs for animals to eat.

Correct.
Mankind was created on day 6.

Glory to God,
Taken

Adam was made on day 6. Eve was made from Adam's rib. The scriptures do not say if Eve was created on day 6 or sometime later, but they do say Adam was first alone when God placed him in the Garden and had him name all the animals.... Adam found NONE of them to be his "helper"...none were "bone of my bone, flesh of my flesh". After that is when God put him to sleep and took out one of his ribs and made Eve. Eve was not made from the dirt like Adam was. She was made from the rib of Adam.

I simply revealed to CoreIssue, where the term dinosaur came from.

God defined KINDS of animals.
Men break down KINDS of animals into species.

I would say, KINDS of animals thrive where there is enough food to support them...and animals for thousands of years have been greatly effected by Weather and Mankind.
And ALSO, by One Kind of animal MATING with another Kind of animal.

In that respect, yes, I would say by a series of historical events...weather, man, animals themselves, some animals have become extinct and More "species" of animals have developed.

Glory to God,
Taken

This is where you're misunderstanding scripture. You have to read Genesis 1 AND Genesis 2, consider that they are BOTH true, and then put them together to get the complete picture.

You're reading Genesis 2 CHRONOLOGICALLY. Only Genesis 1 is in CHRONOLOGICAL order. Genesis 2 is not written in chronological order. It's written in TOPICAL order. The scripture above lists the man first because that is the TOPICAL priority of the text... the text is about the man. It mentions the animals after the man because they are not the main point of this passage, the man is. But the animals were STILL created before the man, as we can see from Genesis 1.

Notice in Genesis 2, the scriptures do not say "THEN out of the ground God made the animals". It simply says "Out of the Ground, God HAD made the animals". Genesis 2 is not written in order of TIME/CHRONOLOGY, but in order PRIORITY/TOPIC. But in Genesis 1:26 it lists the animals first and AFTER says "THEN God said, let us make man". Here we see the TIME order.

So the order on day 6 was this:
1) God creates animals
2) God creates man
3) God brings all the animals to man
4) God creates Eve

*I was wrong... the Scriptures DO say.... both Adam AND Eve were created on the 6th day.

True, we do not know how long it took for God to create Eve...from Adam's rib. This would make a good thread.

I have often thought of this Taken, I do believe there are more and different types of animal species that were not in Gods original creation. Man has screwed up everything else to move further and further away from God's "ideal". Just look at some of the younger generation...tattoos, piercings, forked tongues (calm down now @farouk , lol) and even inserts in their foreheads to look like horns! Anything to move further and further away from His image. I often wonder what Adam and Eve looked like. Bigger and stronger maybe; they DID live a very long time. And, each generation seemed to live shorter periods...at least in biblical times... JMHO
Good post :)

I begg to differ. and here's why. Genesis 2:4 "These [are] the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens,

here is your then, which is History/Generation or the order in which things was made.

so we must reject your assessment that chapter 2 is "topical" and not chronologal.

My point is there is no proof of dinosaurs coexisting with man in science or the Bible.

It is equally absurd to say that there were firebreathing creatures with bones of bronze.

You refuse to accept figurative descriptions except to interpret them to support you.

You refuse to accept the two statements of Isaiah that is disprove you. Hence you are calling Isaiah a liar.

If you want to argue man was created before animals, you'll have to explain why Genesis 1 lists man's creation AFTER the animals on Day 6 saying "THEN God said "let us make man in our image". THEN means "Next"... it means "AFTER".

Answer this.... according to Genesis 1:24-31...did the animals come BEFORE man? Yes or No?
