1Pe 3:20, Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.
1Pe 3:21, The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:
Mat 5:21, Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:
Mat 5:22, But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.
In case you didn't know this, the translation of "Raca" is "you idiot."
Therefore you are in danger of the council of heaven, in that you have murdered your brother in your heart.
A cult is an organization that not only has false doctrine (as we find in the RCC); but which claims that salvation belongs only to its members. And the latter most definitely applies to the RCC if you take into account some of the statements of some of its adherents.
I do not have an ant--Mary animus. For she said that from henceforth all nations would call her blessed.
But we are not to take the blessing of Mary beyond what it was and call her, for example, the "mother of God".
Truly, Jesus was and is God, and Mary was His mother; however, she was not the mother of His Deity but of His humanity. It was only God the Father who begat His Deity; and we need to get that straight.
