Jesus says truly: MY sheep KNOW MY VOICE (not a catholic voice), and FOLLOW ME (JESUS), and will not follow another voice (heretic, catholic, lds, anything that is not His Voice).

now how could it be hard if we dont have to do anything and its GOds Grace that saves us ????
Well, very good point!
As Paul said, who will rescue me from the dilemma that inherently exists within me? We have, by ontological nature, countless temptations, both in activity and in thought. We're walking a tight-rope continuously.
Even the grace of God, is so magnificent and overwhelming, that it presents a challenge to truly appreciate it, and thus, possibly to accept it.
Mutually, His wrath appears to some, as being excessive, and reserved for only the murderers and kidnappers. This can lead to a false sense of security.
Life is truly hard, very few, if any, get through it unscathed. Thus, grounds to question the viability of one's faith.
To abide by Christ's ideals is truly challenging, and I don't trust anyone who says otherwise. Self-condemnation may set in, to the point of capitulation (more to do with misunderstanding of works & faith).
We are outcasts, and non-conformists to the world. This will present ridicule and ostracization. May break the camels back for some? Especially when it leads to persecution (many have failed here).
The intangibility of Faith, makes it hard for some to see the rewards and actuality of their faith. Faith requires an immensity of wisdom (i don't trust anyone who says otherwise).

I'm simply attempting to appreciate Jesus' remark in regard to the difficulties that face the faithful, I believe as you broached? ...unless you were being rhetorical, and stating the opposite?

If anyone posts anything contrary to Scripture, point it out.
(with Scriptural reference if available or known)
Truth: Few people find the narrow road to life.
Question: Why does God say most people follow /stay on / the wide road to destruction ?
Well Joseph, isn't this the whole premise of this forum, to establish what Scripture has pronounced? Thus, controversy, heresy, missing the mark, incorrectly dividing the Word, and so on, will abound, ...by design.
We're not necessarily all here, at least on the debate threads, because we all agree with each other.
So your OP is more rhetorical, or redundant, rather than enlightening. In other words, if someone was to point out a controversy from either another post or thread, as you asked, wouldn't the remedy be to tell them to address the issue on the thread where it lies, or start a new thread to discuss?

So, maybe you'd like to at least, establish a personal Scriptural truth or two, and we can test your own ability to discern the truth behind God's Word. Isn't that what your OP implied?

U failed to answer the question...deja vu
You didnt ask a question and this isnt about your religion and its doctrines, its about scripture and truth, which is why religion has no place here, it has no truth.

It will work IF people stay away who serve the false church. All we can do is point it out though.
This is CONTRARY TO ALL SCRIPTURE >>>>>

So you are suggesting that people who have a contrary view to yours should not be on this forum? The question that comes to mind is who decides who is with the false church? Do you possibly include yourself in that group as well?

Sooo YOU know the truth and @Helen doesnt?

Mary, go back and read the thread and discern who that post was addressed too. In the post I quoted Helen's words but I certainly did not address my question to Helen at all. I was only addressing the OP to see if people commenting in this thread actually knew the truth, or if the herd mentality was the deciding factor.

No need to go back. I said Helen but you can insert anyone on this forum in her place.

Mary, I have noticed that you go looking for a fight with many people because of your beliefs. Your accusation premise, in my case, is wrong. All I did was posed a question to see what the herd mentality is with respect to the mentioned two parables on the same subject matter. I did not give an opinion in my original post as to what was my opinion/understanding of the two parables, but had left the question open for others to provide their view or opinion when they answered.

So far I have not seen a response from the person the post's question was intended for. Perhaps he had no idea as to what the truth actually is with respect to the two parables mentioned as to who has the lead role.

Let us see how it plays out.

Whose truth? Scripture can used for anyone's truth.

@Joseph77

Everybody has their own definition of what they consider "truth" based on their own personal interpretations. So when it comes down to it, the only real, undisputed interpretation of what is true is time. Time cannot lie, it always tell the truth.

Hello

As Helen said in her post: -

Let me ask for the truth; who has the lead in the following two parables, Luke 19:11-27 and Matthew 25:14-30? Is it Jesus?

It will come down to knowing the truth and having the right understanding.

Shalom

I have always believed that Jesus was likening Himself to the Noble man,
And Master in other parables. Most of them start with " The kingdom of heaven is liked unto..." The only one who truly know how to speak of The Kingdom with authority is Jesus Christ.

The Church has the last word: Matthew 18:17
God has the last word and He will judge us on Judgment Day according to whether we have kept the Ten Commandments or not. Just because the Church teaches something doesn't mean that God goes along with it. We can't use the Church's teaching as any excuse in the Judgment. Because we have all broken the Ten Commandments, we will be found guilty even though the Church may judge us as innocent.
