oh boy. There is the biggest problem with you evangelicals and your absolute lack of any understanding of the sacraments and Traditional Christianity. Christ is really present in the Holy Eucharist it is not symbolism nor ritual. I would say you all have a completely misplaced faith that goes no where while you all starve to death because you never receive Christ. In the Sacraments are life and healing because it the Grace God gives through and with the Sacraments not what man does. Evangelicals don't need Church because really for you guys there is nothing there except a social club were you can get together but Traditional Liturgical Christians understand there is so much more to Church than seeing everyone and hearing a sermon.
More importantly. Why did the food he said endured to eternal life die. requiring them to feed againWell, first I'm only having a conversation here and if you are comfortable with everything you are doing and you believe this is what Jesus accepts, them go ahead. By the way, I do not identify as Evangelical. And I was Catholic, so I understand much more than you realise.
I have a question. If Christ is in the Eucharist, and you accept him at communion, how long does he stay? If you need to go back next week, why did he leave, and when?
I never did ski in the SI. Where I did ski was also where I surfed. Could see the mountain from the water... And my kitchen window.A friend and I had the best ski vacation when we went to the ski resorts around Queentown and Wanaka.
Treble Cone was the best but we were lucky cos snow had been falling heavily for 5 days and then cleared up when we arrived. So we had lovely powder snow under blue skies, it was fantastic
How close are you to that mountain?I never did ski in the SI. Where I did ski was also where I surfed. Could see the mountain from the water... And my kitchen window.

According to geological experts this mountain is the most likely to explode in our life time of all the volcanoes in NZ.
Lol. I used to live right underneath it, but that was over 40 years ago. Now, I'm a loooong way away. How close are you to that mountain?
Along our friend @Brakelite2 I and a number of others here on this forum are former Catholics. You should not presume we are all completely ignorant of what Catholics do and believe. You use the word "evangelicals" without defining who is included in that term, yet some Catholics here insist that no one should be calling them "Roman Catholics". That's OK with me, but turn about is fair play. I have never belonged to or even attended an assembly/church where the word "evangelical" was part of their name. Why do you continue to use it as if someone would know what you meant while expecting everyone to be familiar with and use the official title of the Catholic Church? Should we use a definition of "evangelical" according to Webster's dictionary or would you like to supply one? Ever hear the expression, 'What's good for the goose is good for the gander'?There is the biggest problem with you evangelicals and your absolute lack of any understanding of the sacraments and Traditional Christianity. The venue was not so important; it was the doctrinal context of their activities that really mattered, as Acts 2.42 seems to indicate.Where were they meeting in Acts 2?
Amen this is true. and It was not just doctrine. It was also fellowship. Eating dinner (breaking bread) and prayerThe venue was not so important; it was the doctrinal context of their activities that really mattered, as Acts 2.42 seems to indicate.
That’s a good thing. When those things blow. A lot of people will die. Seattle is another hot bed waiting to happenLol. I used to live right underneath it, but that was over 40 years ago. Now, I'm a loooong way away.
Really? Is that mt St Helens or another one? The concern with Mt Taranaki is that it doesn't vent. No pressure release. So when it goes, it's going to go big. Not a particularly unusual thing for NZ. The biggest explosion in the last "70,000" years globally (according to volcanologists) occurred when the Taupo caldera blew up which resulted in the formation of the current lake there... And though"dormant". It's still active.. As are the three volcanoes 50 miles south of there, White island to the north east, and the Rotorua area to the east. Rim of fire. Never boring. And totally off topic. That’s a good thing. When those things blow. A lot of people will die. Seattle is another hot bed waiting to happen
Why would I opt to have Christ only during the sacraments when I can experiencing him every single day of my life in a personal and living way through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. I could be on a desert island and I would still be close, well fed, and covered by His grace. Church are people, and we do need people as well, but our hope and strength comes from Christ Himself.
So you think ‘ Evangelicals ‘ don’t have Christ and that we have never received Christ.........interesting, a total lie and deception - who told you that !?
Rita
Yes, there is certainly much more to Church than seeing everyone and hearing a sermon. On that we agree. Why do you speak as if there no sincerely faithful non-Catholics?
My Rainier, Seattle is right below it.Really? Is that mt St Helens or another one? The concern with Mt Taranaki is that it doesn't vent. No pressure release. So when it goes, it's going to go big. Yet you call all others evangelical. Yet many are not and have asked you to stop, yet here you are still accusing them. This place is rife with anti anything Traditional Christianity, as if Evangelicalism is the only thing around when it is an entirely new system relatively speaking. Frankly I am sick of being seen as a second class citizen in a place like this because I practice Ancient Christianity and shun your guys new type Christianity. I am sick of people posting lies like in many threads here and I am sick of people acting like Church is nothing just because they don't think Church is necessary and everyone else should feel the same way
Oh I agree that the way some people, on both sides of issues treat or speak to others on this forum in ways not at all Christ-like, at least not like the Christ I have come to know over my years in His service. Consider what Jesus said:This place is rife with anti anything Traditional Christianity, as if Evangelicalism is the only thing around when it is an entirely new system relatively speaking. Aahhh. My Rainier, okay. Mmm Yellowstone. Yep, that's a biggie. Would love to visit there, but am aware of the potential. It's a good thing there are so many geysers and vents there else the pending eruption would be even greater. Is there any time table to Rainier? Didn't know it was a volcano. My Rainier, Seattle is right below it.
Our big one is Yellowstone, it is a super volcano, which they if it blows would kill millions and its affects would be felt worldwide including a possible nuclear winter
Far out bro, you got issues. I think the Catholics outnumber everyone else on this forum now... You shouldn't be feeling alone. Let me encourage you. Life isn't about what other people think of you... Second class, third class,,, whatever. It's all about what Jesus thinks of you. And let me tell you, He loves you to bits. So don't worry about what other people think... Search your conscience... Study scripture... And pray earnestly that your relationship with Jesus is as it should be and you'll be okay. This place is rife with anti anything Traditional Christianity, as if Evangelicalism is the only thing around when it is an entirely new system relatively speaking. ‘ As my Bishops says ‘ very revealing !!Evangelicals don't and it's not a lie. They have reject Christ Real Presence in the Holy Eucharist. As my Bishop says they may be Christians but they are starving to death. That is why Church doesn't mean a lot to you all, because Christ Real Presence is not there.
