You think the Eucharist is actually the body of Jesus when you eat it?

Dear Truther,

Yes. I believe that I receive the risen Christ! Whole and entire...

If you wish to discuss it, I would ask that you at least remain respectful of that..

Doubt, is understandable but I would not want to force you, by way of argument, into this:

Do you not think that a much worse punishment is due the one who has contempt for the Son of God, considers unclean the covenant-blood by which he was consecrated, and insults the spirit of grace

Peace!

For the first 1600 years the Church believed in the Real Presence in the Eucharist, during the reformation Luther too believed as did all whom followed him that the Eucharist contained the Real Presence. It was not till an upstart who hated Luther decided on his own with no authority that the Eucharist was a symbol. To believe the Eucharist is a mere symbol is to follow man's doctrine and your own intellect, to believe the Eucharist contains the Real Presence is to follow the faith that Christ once delivered through the Apostles. The choice is yours whom to follow.

I follow Jesus and the Apostles, not the apostate church that fell away.

I was showing my RCC friend that he had to deal with the idea that Jesus was in his intestines.

You stepped in and complained.

If you think that Jesus goes to heaven immediately after you eat him, whatever.

Fact is, I don't eat Jesus, because I have him inside me always.

How can we eat someone that continually resides in us, lest he is not really there?....

Absolutely.
Just as soon as YOU explain to explain Heb. 1:8 like I asked you to.

Why does God call the Son, "God"??
Because the son of God is God by default, because of the Col 2:9 effect on his body.

Now, explain which God Jesus was speaking of in Rev 3:12.

Here's my previous post:
And NOWHERE does the Book of Acts make the claim that ALL followers of Christ MUST speak in tongues.

Scripture doesn't contradict itself, so quoting 1 Cor. 12:27-31 doesn't contradict ANYTHING in Acts, Einstein. The only thing "despicable" is your abject ignorance.

Show me where I talked myself OUT of Acts, Einstein.

4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance....

....except Catholics.

THANK YOU, Einstein.
You just proved my point that the Catholic Church copied the Scriptures down through the centuries.

The concluding doxoloxy (For thine is the Kingdom, etc.) is NOT from Scripture. It was from a footnote written by a Catholic monk on the side of a copy. It comes from the 1st century document, The Didache (Teachings of the Twelve Apostles).

So - YOU follow a Catholic Canon of the NT written BY Catholics, FOR Catholics - yet you reject Catholics.
You are a living, breathing contradiction . . .
The RCC quotes scripture from time to time, during the mass commentary conundrum.
It is kinda comical listening to the radio broadcast about Mary telling folks this and that for about a half hour at a time.
They have a direct line to God's mama.
Jesus better watch it, cause they will bypass him and pray to his mama....

The Apostles had a "Christ cookie" at the Last Supper.

Would you ask them the same thing if you were face to face with them?

You should delete your post child.
Was it a tiny wafer that tastes like chalk, or were they eating an actual supper?

Praying for you.....
I pray that you receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost(Spirit of Christ), so you don't have to physically ingest him anymore.

Then out of your belly will come the Spirit of Christ, not down to it.

Your bizarre questions do not matter to me. What matters to me is what Jesus said: unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood,

Why don't His words matter to you?
Sure.
Just think of the symbolism.
Now, how can you eat Jesus when he is already inside you(Holy Ghost)?
Does he leave you and turn into a chalk wafer weekly?

Certainly.

I would have asked "what's for dinner" at the last supper(dinner).

You are implying that the last supper was not a dinner but a thin wafer?

I do what He asked me to do: Luke 22:19

The Apostles would have never ate something like that at the last supper or any other supper for that matter.

They ate food there.
