The AIDS virus killed more people worldwide than any flu virus.
I also find it interesting that almost no one talks about opiods anymore. If you try to research numbers on it, you find that the CDC doesn't track them very well. I tried and the latest story I could find was from March this year, discussing statistics on opiod deaths from 2017-2018. I did find some statistics from certain states, counties and cities; but the federal government seems to have given up on tackling the problem. They don't even keep up-to-date information on it. The theory seems to be ignore a problem and people will stop worrying about it. Maybe that's why Trump and Pence say the increase in testing is what is producing more cases of coronavirus -- stop testing, stop keeping track, and the problem can be called solved. We can move on to a new crisis to tear our hair out over. No need to solve anything, just move on to a new crisis.

Copeland have up on banishing coronavirus from the planet. Now he's saying if you get it, it's because you aren't exerting authority over it. After he proved he had no authority over it, he says other people aren't?

Now he has his shield up. Okay, Kenny.

And what message does that video give and say to people who are not born again !
And as for those around him adding there comments, and laughing.
That video is mocking people, making fun of them and saying absolutely nothing to the non believer.

It is discouraging, isn't it? They seemed almost gleeful about the situation.

Copeland seems not to have learned a thing from the scandalous outbreak of measles at his daughter's church seven years ago. His daughter changed her mind after the measles hit her church. Her father seems not to be able to change his mind.

Measles outbreak tied to Texas megachurch sickens 21

An outbreak of measles tied to a Texas megachurch where ministers have questioned vaccination has sickened at least 21 people, including a 4-month-old infant -- and it’s expected to grow, state and federal health officials said. . . .

Sixteen people -- nine children and seven adults -- ranging in age from 4 months to 44 years had come down with the highly contagious virus in Tarrant County, Texas, as of Monday. Another five cases are part of the outbreak in nearby Denton County.

All of the cases are linked to the Eagle Mountain International Church in Newark, Texas, where a visitor who’d traveled to Indonesia became infected with measles – and then returned to the U.S., spreading it to the largely unvaccinated church community, said Russell Jones, the Texas state epidemiologist.

“We have a pocket of people that weren’t immunized,” said Jones, noting that vaccination rates typically hover above the 98 percent range in his county.

Infections spread to the congregation, the staff and a day care center at Eagle Mountain International.

The ill people were all linked to the church that is a division of Kenneth Copeland Ministries. That group advocates faith-healing and advises people to “first seek the Wisdom of God” and then appropriate medical attention in matters of health, according to an online statement.

Terri Pearsons, a senior pastor of Eagle Mountain International Church and Copeland’s daughter, previously said she had concerns about possible ties between early childhood vaccines and autism, a position that has been refuted by health officials.

In the wake of the measles outbreak, however, Pearsons has urged followers to get vaccinated and the church has held several vaccination clinics, according to its website. Health officials said the church administration has been very cooperative in the outbreak investigation. Pearsons did not return an email from NBC News seeking comment.

The situation with Copeland's church strikes me as a disaster waiting to happen. They won't learn unless disaster strikes them.

Dare you attack and slander a son of God?? Who and what are you???
Kenneth Copeland is a proven false prophet, son of Belial and worshipper of money. He's also like Trump, having three marriages. No divorced and remarried man should become a minister. He looks possessed if you ask me.

Let me play Devil's advocate here, if I can guys. That's not the best expression for it, but I listened to Copeland for many years back around the turn of the century, and there is actually some value and truth behind what he is saying. Copeland was way off base to be publicly "prophesying" to Covid-19 and "blowing it away" during a televised service back several months ago. I knew he was going to fall flat on his face for that, and he did. He was taking his presumed "authority" way too far. But there is something to be said for a believer taking authority over his own life, and what will and will not happen to him. Paul said in one place that he would not be stopped or hindered until he had finally finished his calling (it's in Acts, I'd have to look it up), and this is the same attitude I take. I take Coronavirus seriously, but I can assure anyone with ears to hear that it is not going to stop me from fulfilling my own calling, nor will anything else for that matter.

In other words, I think part of Copeland's message is worth hearing. I just think there are other things attached to his message that are out of line and off base. Hopefully he IS learning a lesson about his ability to "prophesy." The faith crowd usually does a pretty horrible job in that department. But we are called to look upon the good in one another. Hence why I posted.

Who would swallow the poison if it was pure bitterness? Hide it in something sweet. The serpent did the same thing with Eve. Much of what he said was "true." If demons want to deceive someone, they hide a lie or two in with what is mostly true. Satan himself can quote Scripture.

Isaiah 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

God gave man free will. Jesus did not go around opposing the free will of others. If people make bad decisions and don't want to change, they have the "right" to be wrong. The most you can do is warn them. Ultimately you can't take charge of their decisions.

Let us suppose this coronavirus came about because of the wickedness of men. (I believe that myself.) If men bring a curse on themselves, do I have the right to remove it against their will? Copeland thought he had that right. He put himself squarely in opposition to the Will of God which is that all men and women have the right to choose. He thought he had authority even Jesus did not claim.

It might be worth it to discuss why Jesus allowed the Romans to crucify him and why he didn't want the Jews to kill him secretly. If the Romans went too far, exceeding their lawful authority by killing an innocent man, they had violated God's Law of Free Will. At that point, they lost their lawful authority; and their pagan state religion ultimately fell. Do I mind then if someone I have never injured sins against me? Not really. He has violated the Law of Free Will -- and that gives me the right to interfere with him, and I can interfere with him to bring him to repentance.

Copeland erred thinking he could interfere with the demonic when people wanted the demonic. That gives the demons the right to attack him.

I would not bother trying to cast out an evil spirit from someone without first getting him to agree to it. . . or unless I was certain he wanted it. Some people seem undecided, so we see Jesus sometimes asking people if they are willing to be made whole. They had to want it and say so. He wasn't going to force it on them.

I can almost guarantee someone will go spiritually off the rails if he thinks he has the right to go around making decisions for the whole world against their free will. It opens a door to becoming spiritually insane.

I understand the point. But the thing for me is that you don't hear this kind of encouragement from people outside the Faith Movement. I think what will eventually take place is the good will be kept and the false will be tossed aside.

No I think that's what he's saying actually, if you listen close. But he was in error for speaking without the authority of Christ behind it. This is where Faith teaching get's screwed up. They assume they have delegated authority simply because they are Christians, when that is in fact not that case at all. Only as we abide in Him does He speak through us, and only if Christ Himself speaks will there be any real authority behind it.

You'll have to forgive me on this part. I didn't watch the entire video, just the early part. Maybe I can watch the rest in a sec. Was just sort of passing through and saw this thread and the comments and thought I'd post.

Great talking to you as always, and hope you are having a great day!

I think it's where the "Power of Positive Thinking" also messes up. Trump attended the church of the man who wrote that book. It shows in Trump, I think. He believes if he has an idea, it has to be good. Many times, I could agree. But he then thinks he can "overcome" the free will of everyone else with powerful thinking on his part. He's reached the point now of vilifying anyone who disagrees with him. I think he sincerely believes that anyone who doesn't agree with him has to be evil.

There is a danger to the "Power of Positive Thinking" in that it often works, even when used wrongly. It works because of the intention behind it. (Magic spells often work for the same reason.) If two people have opposing wills and both are trying to interfere with each other, the strongest will usually wins. Trump went through most of his life without facing really strong opposition. He came to believe that if he "believed" enough in his intentions, he could make anything happen. He is now being crushed. You can see it in how he's aging. All Presidents tend to age faster once they're in office; but I am astonished at how Trump has changed in under four years. He is being crushed because he does not know when to "bend" to the will of the people the way Samuel was told to when Israel wanted a king.

Copeland seems to have a similar view even if he's not officially part of the "Power of Positive Thinking" group of people. My guess is he's succeeded in some things when he shouldn't have been trying to interfere, and that gave him the feeling he could say a thing (anything) and make it so. He did not follow the advice given in Isaiah. The verse can be read as a question or as advice.

Isaiah 45:11 KJV Thus saith the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me.

I think the KJV is right, but other versions go with it as a question.

NIV “This is what the Lord says— the Holy One of Israel, and its Maker: Concerning things to come, do you question me about my children, or give me orders about the work of my hands?

If Copeland has asked God about this (assuming he has God's ear), he would have been told what was permissible and what was possible. . . and what was not. As you said, "He was taking his presumed 'authority' way too far." He simply did not bother to ask what was permissible and possible and what was not. He fell flat on his face because of it.

John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

I think this has to be so. The Spirit goes forth and sees and hears many things. I think God has knows what's best for every person on the planet. If we pray one way, we could create a little good but wreck greater good down the road. Then when the Spirit reveals things to come, the person knows how to pray. He prays and God works through that person's faith and exercising lawful dominion over things that are permissible for him. God does nothing without first telling at least one of His prophets. It's how things are done.

Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

I believe what Moses said not you.

Deuteronomy 18:22 When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.

I can mock when appropriate.

1 Kings 18:27 And it came to pass at noon, that Elijah mocked them, and said, Cry aloud: for he is a god; either he is talking, or he is pursuing, or he is in a journey, or peradventure he sleepeth, and must be awaked.

You may be risking your something by following such a false shepherd. I'm not that worried about losing my life. In a way, it might be great. To die might be to gain. Such threats roll off me. Perhaps you're frightened by false shepherds, but you could get over it -- and save money at the same time -- money you could give to the poor. Stop following spiritually blind people.

Luke 6:39 And he spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch?
