Very easy to say...
But half the christians that I have met in my 57 years of spiritual life have no idea how to HEAR directly from the Lord on a daily basis ..but only via someone else telling them what to do and not to do.

You even say above " Satan has tried to stop worship..."

Worship is not having to be together and singing together in one place...it is a state of being ...it is dwelling in the Secret Place of the Most High..it is our continual joy and function...

What about the verse - "In EVERYTHING give thanks , for THIS IS the will of the Lord in Christ Jesus concerning you." Giving thank continually...is His will...not bemoaning how deprived we are....

Christians should never have a defeatist attitude...ever. What happened to "we are more than conquerors..."? What happened to trust and faith which we cannot please Him without?
Gratitude in all things...hard as that may be at times, but it is the only answer. Worship is for sure a "state of being", an attitude of sorts.
xx

Wow, Helen you seem to have some pent-up emotions, which I can understand. So, hope you feel better getting that off your chest. And I hope you’re doing okay in general. Glad to see that you’re back (even if it’s just to blast me, lol). :)

I see that amen, @Heart2Soul ! Now my feelings are really hurt. :( :)
I only read that post...I am sorry...you are my sister and nothing will change my love for you.❤

On the bright side, history shows that a persecuted church is a united and vibrant church. A strong church is never so because of living a life of luxury. Hard times should cause our spiritual roots to go deeper. Hard times push us closer to God. If the choice was between living in comfort or hard times living close to our Lord, I'd choose the latter. I don't need luxury but I do need my Lord.
Though I'm not a fan of some of John's doctrines, I do believe there is much truth to what he says here. If you've been watching you'll know that not too long ago the U.S. Chinese flu death toll was put at over 100,000. Recent numbers put it at under 10,000. In a bad flu season, 10 times more die from it than those killed by the Chinese virus.
We are facing an organized global movement that I believe, are backed by the dark powers of this world. As believers, we need unity so we can receive the commanded blessing Psalm 133 speaks of.
MacArthur and I do not see eye to eye on some important things but he is aware of what the enemy is doing and is a brother of mine and yours. And he is a victim of the globalists. Whose goal is to enslave humanity by forcing them to take the mark of the beast. This is where we are today.
We are quite literally fighting for our lives. I say this with the tens of thousands of guillotines and body bags that were purchased by the Obama government in mind. I believe they were going to be used on us. They talk about reducing the earth's population and since they hate us with such passion, I think I'm being realistic.
I watched a new documentary last night about 9/11. It reminded me of some things I'd forgotten about. I saw it on Facebook's videos. More of the same. Discernment is sorely needed in this hour.
Many people have died from this virus. Having lost loved ones myself, I know the shock of it. So I sympathize with the survivors. But our enemy has distorted the facts so as to make it difficult to discern the truth. Now is the day to repent and draw near to God in prayer. Who knows? He may relent and leave a blessing. Shalom.

We’ll have to agree to disagree. There’s so much misinformation about this virus. It’s hard to tell what’s really going on.

Exactly there are so many lies about all this, so much politics that I know most powers that be only care about themselves.

This post is for all not just Helen

It was hard to understand you evangelicals, no denoms, and what not's then it hit me. For you guys there is nothing at church but a big social gathering, heck you could do that on zoom even we do on Wednesday but there is something for us Traditional Christians such as some Anglican/Episcopalian, Catholic, some Lutheran, Orthodox, even some Reformed, and my Church at Church that you all never experienced and that is the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist. This is something you guy don't get at all so to you, the government comes in and takes your first amendment rights away no problem Zoom meetings to the rescue but for us Traditional Christians such as some Anglican/Episcopalian, Catholic, some Lutheran, Orthodox, even some Reformed and my Church the government literally took Christ away from us, His Real Presence.

Now realistically I expect you all to fight against me because you can never grasp what it is like to receive the very Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist. I can hear all of you now but I can tell you your objections are not enough to even compare. That is why many of us will never follow the governments whims

I’ve read that there have been many suicides during these shut-downs. Would it not be better to risk the virus than have people feeling so desperate that they take their own lives? I can understand this because I was feeling REALLY low today, though not suicidal.

I felt suicidal in March when the lock down began, I saw no hope. The government took Christ away from us, from me. I talked to my Priest and was able to get the reserve Sacrament which helped great deal. I was very close and even really gave up at one point until I received Christ in the Eucharist. I would crawl across broken glass, razor wire, and rusty nails to receive Christ in the Eucharist.

Romans 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Hi historyb,

This is exactly what the constitution is for, in my opinion, and the state shows it's hypocrisy in permitting protesting and rioting and looting, but prohibiting work and school and church.

If "the powers that be" believe in what they say, then why did they not demand masking and social distancing from all the rioters and protesters?

Much love!

Maybe Satan wants to see Christians dying of coronavirus and spreading it to others. I don't think spreading disease is a good way of spreading the Gospel. It looks like a way of making people hate Christians.
Maybe God wants to see older saints die relatively peacefully from this grim reaper virus rather than have them live through worse things to come. (if they know Him, then they'll be with Him.) Perhaps this is God's way of keeping them from that hour of trial to come upon the whole Earth. All our days are in God's hands, nothing is random in the lives of the elect. He makes all things (not some things) to work for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.

You think God sends plagues on His servants to save them from worse things? Maybe we should be prepared for worse things if that means we could be witnesses.

Revelation 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

Death does not bother me one little bit. I should have died in 1976 when I was involved in a head-on collision with another car but an angel saved me. So I know the day I die is God's choice so I will leave it up to him.

Hi Michael,

Yes, I think this may be so.

Isaiah 57
1 The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come.
2 He shall enter into peace: they shall rest in their beds, each one walking in his uprightness.

Much love!

There is nothing at all peaceful about dying with COVID, it is one of the most horrific and terrifying way to die. That from Doctors and nurses taking care of the dying

Actually the biggest killer in all western nations is abortion.

Very true
