If Baptism could save then there is no need for the shed Blood of Jesus.

I would just encourage people to "get this one done"...baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins...

All of the arguments against getting this done amount to one thing...you are gambling on eternity if you believe this propaganda that you can be saved apart from baptism in Jesus' Name.

It may indeed be true that you can be saved apart from it (after all, whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:13))...but why would you take the chance? Especially since in New Testament times, people called on the name of the Lord at the time of baptism (see Acts of the Apostles 22:16).

If you bank on the idea that you can be saved apart from baptism in Jesus' Name, you are gambling on eternity...

I would suggest taking a wild look at Acts of the Apostles 2:39 in its context and compare that verse to Romans 8:30...

I believe that you will find that the Holy Ghost is conditionally promised to as many as the Lord our God shall call...

And that if you are not called, you have not been predestinated, and neither will you be justified or glorified.

The condition for this promise of the Holy Ghost is repentance and baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins...

He who believes and is baptized "shall be saved" (Mark 16:16)...absolute terminology.

Someone who merely believes "should not perish" (John 3:16)...iffy.

Whosoever calls on the name of the Lord "shall be saved." (Romans 10:13)...absolute terminology; but not the words of Jesus as a Man.

That's right. Good observation in my opinion.

Again, into what are you immersed? Water? or the teaching of Jesus Christ? Remember what John told us?

John answered and said to them all, “As for me, I baptize you with water; but One is coming who is mightier than I, and I am not fit to untie the thong of His sandals; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. Luke 3:16

John baptized with water. What does Jesus baptize with?

Review Acts 19

The Old Testament which is a type of shadow of things to come, says...
Exodus 30:20 When they go into the tabernacle of the congregation, they shall wash with water, that they die not; or when they come near to the altar to minister, to burn offering made by fire unto the LORD:

Jesus said...
John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Jesus Commanded...
Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Peter's response (with all the apostles with him)...
Acts 2:37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
[38] Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Peter obeys Jesus and "commands" baptism...
Acts 10:48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

Paul himself was baptized...
Acts 22:16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

Let's go to Acts 19 whereby Paul connects Holy Ghost with water baptism...
Acts 19:2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
[3] And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.

2 Peter 1:21

“For the prophecy(Word of God) came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.”
So why can’t the Holy church be guided by the HS? Acts 8

Jesus is talking about being born, not being baptized. "That which is born of flesh is flesh . . ."
Really
Context of Jn 3:5 “born again”

John1:26 John answered them, saying, I baptize with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not; (John prepared the way by baptism)

John 2:6 And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece. (Old covenant prefiguring of baptism, purification from sin)(His disciples believed because the ever Virgin mother of God interceded Jn 2:11)

John3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. (Baptism)

John 3:22 After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the land of Judaea; and there he tarried with them, and baptized. 23 And John also was baptizing in Aenon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized.(Baptism)

John 4:4 When therefore the Lord knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John.

Born again means Baptism!

You are jumping around too much. You will never understand a passage that way.

John baptized with water. What does Jesus baptize with?
The Holy Ghost of course...as the result of fulfilling the condition to the promise in Acts of the Apostles 2:38-39.

Easy to understand TRUTH===How to be saved (born again) and join the family of God!!!

Romans: Chapter 10 verse 9-10-13 GOD SAYS=

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,
and shalt believe in your heart that God hath raised him
from the dead, thou shalt be Saved. For with the heart man
believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession
is made unto Salvation. For whosoever shall call upon the
name of the Lord shall be Saved....................OOPS!!! Do you think God forgot to say that you must be baptized to be saved????

You are making that up. John said that Jesus baptizes not with water.

John 4:1 When therefore the Lord knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John,

Jesus Commanded Baptism...
Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Acts 2:38...
Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Jesus Commanded Baptism...
Actually, the command is to make disciples. Baptism was the customary first step during that time, yes. But baptism in water isn't necessary and neither is it the point. The essential aspect of becoming a disciple is to study and obey Jesus' teaching. If you think Jesus commanded baptism, then go ahead and do what you think the Lord wants you to do.

What I'm trying to say, though, is that stepping into a tank of water is not what Jesus is commanding. He is actually commanding full immersion into his teaching.

No; I am not the author of the verses that I quoted.
I understand that. But consider the contrast John is making between his baptism, which involves water, and Jesus' baptism which involves the Holy Spirit. Why decide that water baptism is essential when Jesus didn't actually baptize with water himself?

He had His disciples do it for Him (John 4:2). As did Paul (Acts of the Apostles 18:8, 1 Corinthians 1:14-17).
