That's right, He was scared of the cross. He just acted fearless out of love for us. :)
Matthew 26:37-38

37 And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy.

38 Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me.

Well,.. I don't think that fear is a sin and if somebody was going to torture you and nail you to a cross and kill you,.. wouldn't you be scared?
I would be but God would not. Cheers :)

With all due respect how do you know that He wasn't as well? There's nothing in those verses that were quoted that suggest He wasn't. Besides that @Nancy reminded me that at one point in time He was asking for the cup to be taken away from Him because He didn't want to go through with it and die and that was probably out of fear.

Is there any way for us to do this? I understand God better than I understand man, or even understand myself. However, there are certain things I just don't understand. Like why innocent children die, sickness, and why doesn't God destroy all the evil in the world.

It are times like these where although I really don't want to I question my faith. Although, I'm guessing I'm probably not alone on this one. I'm probably even not alone when I say that sometimes because of my lack of understanding that sometimes even though it's just for a short period of time, I get angry and frustrated with God and all of this really concerns me to the point where I question my salvation. :( I realize that if I wasn't truly saved then I wouldn't be concerned at all though and these are just worrisome thoughts that Satan tries to plant in my head. Still, I can't help but have them from time to time. :(
Life isn't fair and you care which is difficult. I try to remember that God may forgive us and resurrect us and bring us into glorious heaven. But this life isn't fun sometimes for sure. Cheers!

I wonder if Jesus was afraid of anything.

Yes, His human side. He was afraid enough to sweat blood but in the end He did not let fear win. Were all afraid at one time or another but the important thing is to not let fear win

As Mr Miyagi says to Daniel son in Karate Kid “It’s OK to lose to opponent, must not lose to fear.”

Lol, the funny thing is I've been watching Cobra Kai lately on Netflix. :D

There's nothing in the scriptures that says God ever had fear, so I quoted the scripture that Love casts out fear. Jesus is God and God is love. So the scriptures do teach us that God doesn't fear.

1 John 4:8

“He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.”

1 John 4:18

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

He wasn't acting, He was trusting not letting fear rule Him. :). Just like the recent 21 holy martyrs, there were afraid but did not let fear win and give satisfaction to the enemy. It is not easy and must be practiced to not let fear win and t find the center

Yeah, but even though that may be true that there's nothing to suggest that He felt fear, there's not one single verse that says "Jesus laughed." Does this mean He didn't laugh and have a sense of humor? Probably not. He probably found a lot of things funny but we will never know about it since it wasn't recorded.

These two scriptures say that Jesus wasn't afraid ever. Read the bold letters:

1 John 4:8

“He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.”

1 John 4:18

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

Well then perhaps that @Nancy can elaborate and shed some light on this from her post on the last page I'll have to find it hold on...

Jesus is recorded as having a unique sense of humor...it's one only God can have. The punchline usually was one that was to everyone's benefit. Except for the Apostles singing on the way into Jerusalem...

Apparently it was pretty bad.
But Jesus said that it was a better sound than the one an earthquake makes... except in Aramaic it's a lot funnier.

You are not alone. I question many times even though I look like I don't.

Yeah you definitely don't appear to be.

If Christ never had fear than the Gospel is a lie. Christ was fully human meaning He did feel fear and even illustrate this when He was in the Garden sweating blood.
