Yes it is...I'll have to Google or look it up in my Bible...but yes it's there.
Seriously? I don't remember reading that. XD However, that reminds me of this clip.

Yes it is...I'll have to Google or look it up in my Bible...but yes it's there.
Well then perhaps that @Nancy can elaborate and shed some light on this from her post on the last page I'll have to find it hold on...
Seriously? I don't remember reading that. XD However, that reminds me of this clip.
I already proved in scripture that God doesn't fear, so the only thing left is to prove Jesus was God in the Garden:If Christ never had fear than the Gospel is a lie. Christ was fully human meaning He did feel fear and even illustrate this when He was in the Garden sweating blood.
Not sure which post were talkin bout but...Jesus was also human and suffered just like we do and, He would have fear, but that did not stop Him from obeying The Father. He died for us, willingly yet, even HIS Spirit fought against the flesh. Yet, He overcame EVERY TIME! Amen!
Hard to imagine God cracking jokes.
Also can you prove this in any way using scripture? If Christ never had fear than the Gospel is a lie. Christ was fully human meaning He did feel fear and even illustrate this when He was in the Garden sweating blood.
Thanks, but I don't really want to cuss at God and @Devin Wintch,.. it was post number seventeen.
Try verse 38 or so...I don't see anything about singing horribly though as you claimed lol
Some don't. I do, as my Priest said God can take it and we shouldn't give in to this idea that we have to act a certain way instead of be who we really are to God. God knows our inner self and we aren't fooling God when we act nice to Him. If we can't be our real selves to God than why act that way to others.
Of course everyone sat shocked that a priest would say that but thinking about it I realized it was true and now I am very, very candid with the Father. Of course at first it didn't feel right because we are taught certain ways to act to God but after a while it is now just second nature and I feel closer to God now than when I was just be overly polite
Try verse 38 or so...
Why would they complain about singing if it was good?
I already proved in scripture that God doesn't fear, so the only thing left is to prove Jesus was God in the Garden:
Matthew 1:23
Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
So it would appear that the bible disagrees with your idea.
You know you actually did make a point but it still feels really wrong for me to do.
Christ is fully Human and fully God, that is a must for a Christian to believe. Being fully human Christ experienced everything we do. Hebrews 4:15. If Christ did not experience everything we do than Christianity is a lie than we should join cults like mormonism
Don't apologize sister. Especially to one who near owns the franchise in soapboxes. Well said indeed. (HUGS)Greetings Sister WaterSong!
I totally agree that our faith can not become strong, unless we are tested! Amen? How else even to grow our faith strong?
He has already told us what is to come and, even though it (this world) continues to downspiral into sin that God will FINALLY put an end to, and the "love of many will wax cold", we have to keep holding on to His joy and promises, and...one another, fellowship is VITAL to growth, IMHO. I think it would please The Father if we were as calm as Jesus was on the boat, asleep, when we're faced with the seemingly impossible things that life throws at us.
Matthew 8:24
"And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep."
"Some people think God messes with the world to punish us. I don't accept that in my theology."
Neither do I accept this teaching. God allows things to happen for His purposes. He sure doesn't need to mess with this already way messy world to use all of the bad "to the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purposes" Amen!!
He can make anything out of nothing so...I think he has it all coming together in HIS plan and...we might see allot through a glass darkly now, and it's so hard not to ask the "why questions" but then we also know that:
His ways are higher!
Isaiah 55:9
9 "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts."
His plans are PERFECT!
Psalm 18:30
"30 As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the Lord is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him."
And, it is Him who makes our path's straight...
Proverbs 3:5-7"5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil."
...when we put our full trust and faith in Him, no matter what we go through or even see before our eyes. It's fantastic and comforting and so peaceful to really know these things to be true in my life and others as well. It's all in faith and trusting without seeing, and yes, even through the deepest of suffering.
Sry, went off on a bit of a soap box there
Christ did not experience everything we do.
Jesus may have been tempted with fear but never accepted it? Something like that would have to be true, otherwise your calling the scriptures a lie!
Don't apologize sister. Especially to one who near owns the franchise in soapboxes. Well said indeed. (HUGS)
;
Yes He did that is one of the bedrocks of Christianity and yes He was afraid in the Garden. If you don't believe this you do not believe in the true God
Here your calling Christianity a lie. Fear is not a sin it is normal response. The problem is you don't want a fully human Christ but if He wasn't human h\\He could not save us
So maybe this connects with the verses that @Devin Wintch quoted.
Ever heard of the platypus?
