SHOUTING is worldly taught unacceptable...
Even in "typing", LOL.

In Scripture A SHOUT is Expressly to get ones attention, To Hear something important.

Acts 12:
[22] And the people gave a shout, saying, It is the voice of a god, and not of a man.
For man's glory!

1 Thes 4:
[16] For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:[/QUOTE]
For God's glory!

I am stating that it seems that many Christians believe that if one chooses to live in peace and not be bothered with the things of the world... it means they are being compliant with sin/cowards.

I did not suggest we should IGNORE... but rather bring our concerns to God. Do you really think all the moaning and shouting about the corrupt election solved anything? There is not just ONE way to get things done.

Living a life of peace does not equate doing NOTHING.

When governments Tresspass against me...according to Gods Word...I should confront the Trespasser.

You may not of noticed...but the Trespassers are hiding behind a fence with armed guards, effecting a Silence to their Ears.

I have zero issue with revealing their underhanded plans and Works.

I'm not going to argue with you @Taken.... you are one of those who seem to think quiet means unwise and not aware. I leave you with your thoughts.

Awesome...because I wasn't arguing with you, I was disagreeing and stating why I disagreed.

God Bless,

@Taken I do understand what shouting is supposed to do... LOL

I use caps all the time to bring attention to a word I desire to magnify.

Yep I use Caps for some things....
To stress a point.
For some whose eyesight is strained to read small print.
For my own ease, Because I ONLY type responses from my phone.

Some are offended by using CAPS...LOL..
Their problem to deal with Offences.

It seems Christianity is now being defined as STANDING up for our RIGHTS...

Not that I know of in any circles I travel in.

when in all reality... Christ laid down His own.

The fact that I refuse to SHOUT that my rights are being taken from me... does not make me any less a Christian.

Think Venn Diagram. I happen to be more politically active than I am in religious spheres. But we are not all called to do the same thing. Paul wrote about how a foot is still part of the body even though it is not a mouth.

Carry on soldier.

I have been thinking a lot about the state of affairs in the world. There is so much noise and distraction coming from all directions... elections... pandemics... mass shootings... fallen Christian leaders.

From these forums... I have learned that many people seem to have a poor view upon those who do not pay attention and/or participate in the social/political arena that desires to rule the world.

Those who are not interested in the matters of the world and do not pay attention to what is happening.... are deemed as deceived/cowards/ineffective Christians/not even Christians at all.

It seems Christianity is now being defined as STANDING up for our RIGHTS... when in all reality... Christ laid down His own.

My question to those who have made such NOISE in sounding the alarm regarding the stolen election/"plandemic" is...

How has focusing so much on these topics helped your Christian walk? How has any of what you have tried to "bring to light" ( in your thinking ) helped the cause of Christianity? How has it change one iota of anything?

Other than "clearing your own conscience"... I don't see any benefit to this 'enlightened' knowledge so many seem to desire to bring forth.

I have never lived my life caring what others think... and that has not changed. However... I truly am perplexed at what people are defining as living a Christian life.

I live in peace... I trust... I pray... I am grateful... I worship... and I live my life to the best of my ability according to what is thrown at me. I am a survivor... I am a blessed woman... because the Lord continues to heal and redeem me.

The fact that I refuse to SHOUT that my rights are being taken from me... does not make me any less a Christian.

Christ tells us to meditate on things which are noble... lovely and pure. I choose to live my life in this manner... He also tells us not to go by what we see... and feel. It is this complete trust in God that has allowed me to get through all the trials I have experienced.

I have learned like Solomon that everything outside of Godly matters are frivolous... and I have come to see that even though I do not please many Christians with my views... it is WELL with my soul.
Attagirl, Addy! Absolutely wonderful stuff. We're siblings from two different mothers, I'd say. The only liberty I'm extremely concerned with/about is liberty of conscience, which can't really be legislated. :):) Yeah, you get a double smiley.

The only liberty I'm extremely concerned with/about is ...

Not enslaving my grandkids.

Our society is so decadent, we kill our own children and those we don't kill, we enslave via the public debt. Since high school, nearly 4 decades ago, it is my over-riding public policy metric. Since then, the debt has gone up by a factor of 6x. It is an exponential function and will be our society's ruin.

That's right Addy! May I add ...Col 3:2? Focus on the things above and not the things on the earth.
I like you.

How has any of what you have tried to "bring to light" ( in your thinking ) helped the cause of Christianity?

If oppression against Christianity is being brought in though illegalities, then exposing those illegalities and restoring our government to the less oppressive can be a benefit towards the spreading of the Gospel.

The fact that I refuse to SHOUT that my rights are being taken from me... does not make me any less a Christian.

I have found that God has a way of exposing darkness absolutely perfectly... in ways that we could never think to orchestrate. Unlike human beings.... He also always brings the invitation to repent... and turn from our sins. He is the God of many chances. I agree that it is the responsibility of Christians to denounce evil ( which falls into a multitude of categories ).

I do not agree with your view of restoration of government... and making the world a better place... (that is our job as Christians )...I believe ALL Government on all fronts has ALWAYS had an agenda and is corrupt on all sides... The world is run by the rich... and the controls have always operated within these secret societies. However... I do understand why people vote. Personally I do not because somehow within my heart I am unable to separate properly the lesser of the two evils ( so to speak ). I do believe the world is exactly where it is meant to be ( prophetically speaking ). I believe we are entering the beginning of the end.

I do agree that it would be easier to spread the Gospel in a less oppressive regime. But that is not a reality in many of these un-reached countries.

I think of the place where God tells us that if we are slaves, and we have the opportunity to gain our freedom, use it, as the Lord's slave.

So when I have the opportunity to cast a vote towards what I believe to be greater freedom, I prefer to use it.

Much love!

I think it's important to be interested in the world and what's happening in it, at least moderately. We are called to live in this world, and to completely shut our eyes and ears and disregard it altogether does not help us to be that preserving salt of the earth, which we are called to be. Jesus prayed not to take us out of this evil world, but for us to be protected whilst going about our Christian duty.

That said, I probably pay too much attention to the goings-on of the world with my twitter app. It's easy to get sucked in, and it can be demoralizing, and I'm struck with the illusion of so much knowledge. But if you don't know there's a problem, how can you address it? Christians should boldly stand up for the faith in spite of the world's opposition. That's how we grow and prove our faith. That's how we take others to Christ. We can't do so without exposure in some cases. We need to stand up for our values and protect what we currently have, which evil people are trying their best to get rid of, if we want to secure a brighter future. I don't believe Christ ever called anyone to be a social hermit.

By all means, prioritize that which is spiritual and that which is of eternal value. But don't outright reject to engage with the world you find yourself living in. It's a world we all have to contribute to in some way.
