Concerning gender equality in Christianity. Still have so many questions unanswered. Like one being if God made them male and female and called them Adam. What does God call: Christ and His (glorious) body if not “the second Adam”
If the first “male and female God made them” are one flesh. How was the first Adam made into the image of the earth? (As you have borne the image of the earthly, you shall also bear the image of the Heavenly). Then is the second Adam: Christ and His body being One Spirit not made in the image of the heavenly?
it matters to me concerning the topic of equality because in Adam the image is the earthly ...in Christ the image is of the Heavenly? How do they differ? Where in Christ and having put on the new man there is neither Jew nor Greek, bond nor free, male nor female but made One in His Spirit.
it matters because one man esteems one day above another yet one man esteems every day alike. Romans 14:5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
One above the other or alike, and who are we to judge 1 Corinthians 4:6-7 And these things, brethren, I have in a figure transferred to myself and to Apollos for your sakes; that ye might learn in us not to think of men above that which is written, that no one of you be puffed up for one against another. [7] For who maketh thee to differ from another ? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it ?
Psalm 139:12 Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.
Question is which is right and which is wrong? To esteem one day above another?
Or to esteem every day alike?
Which do you say?
Because the perspective and diversity of “one day above another” or “every day alike” is like this topic...which is the held to perspective “one day above another” or “every day alike” ... it matters to me because regarding the topic of equality: is the view Adam or Christ?
I’ve been really considering this, hope you will too. What does God call: Christ and His (glorious) body if not “the second Adam” ...the image of the Heavenly, “I do a new thing” He said “a new creature”
