And the verse that shows this exclusion is where?
But Jesus said, Suffer [allow] little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the Kingdom of Heaven. (Mt 19:14)

"Of such" has two applications: (1) little children automatically belong within the Kingdom of Heaven and (2) all adults who come with the humility of little children to God and Christ for salvation, and are born again, will also enter and see the Kingdom of God.

God's righteousness and the finished work of Christ guarantee the entrance of little children into Heaven.

You may not believe it, but that is of no consequence. Had you been with Christ's disciples at that time, you too would have shooed them away as being nuisances. But Christ rebuked them, as He will rebuke you in a day to come.

Because teh bible tells us how the rebirth takes place. It isn't a question of comparing similar things and coming to a conclusion. It is accepting what the bible says no matter what else may sound reasonable.
..and how does the new birth take place?

It has one of the two applications. of such lets us know that it is a metaphor and not to be taken literally.

But you do have a serious problem. You believe children are saved and then lose that salvation and have to get saved all over again. So how can you be assured the second salvation is secure if the first one isn't?

Had I been with christs disciples at the time- you have no clue what I would or would not have done. Trying to read my mind is arrogance.

From JOhn 3:

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Ephesians 2:8-9
King James Version

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Romans 10:9-13
King James Version

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

There are many others that show faith alone by grace brings the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit.

You believe children are saved and then lose that salvation and have to get saved all over again.
You manufactured that out of thin air. So let's be clear. If a little child dies, it goes to Heaven. If a little child grows to becomes a teenager, then that person is capable of responding to the Gospel and must obey the Gospel. If the teenager becomes an adult, the same applies. God offers salvation to all, but all must obey the Gospel in order to be saved.

just as you were birthed by your mother even while you were unaware so the Spirit births people even while they are unaware and without understanding. It is not till a later stage in ones experience that the gravity of this registers.

Sorry, I am responding to your declaration. So are you saying that these children who don't know the gospel stay saved until they hear the gospel? Does that also apply to Hindu, Muslim, Pagan children as well? If they are saved and do not lose their salvation, why do they need to trust jesus' death and resurrection?

If they nhedd to trust- that means they lost their salvation at some point in time

Your philosophical musings run counter to Gods Word.

People do not get saved unknowingly. The bible is clear and absolute- in order to be born again one must trust in the death and resurrection of Jesus for their sin.

I think so....ie, people get saved unknowingly! there are those that ask Jesus 'what are those scars in your hands' and he will answer, 'it is where I was wounded in the house of my friends' ...Zechariah 13:6

what I am asking is can a man of his own volition generate a new birth....can he decide 'I'm going to be born again'

These are not philosophical musings.....they are genuine reflections

A man cannot because a man does not have free will to make that choice. God grants us the faith to believe and then we believe!

Romans 10:9-15
King James Version

13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

Also from John 3:

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

To believe requires knowledge and action.

No one gets saved apart from placing their trust in christ Jesus! NO ONE.

so then, God does the birthing!

Well define birthing?

The instant we trust Jesus death and resurrection for our sin- God makes u9s a brand new creature/we are born again! Not of human seed but divine seed.

Being a new creature is not metaphorical but literal. and it is God who does it. Man cannot make himself a saved person.

Mark 10:13-16
“And they began bringing children to Him, so that He might touch them; and the disciples rebuked them. But when Jesus saw this, He was indignant and said to them, ‘Permit the children to come to Me; and do not hinder them; for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter in at all.’ And He took them in His arms and began blessing them, laying His hands upon them.”

Unless adults receive The Kingdom as a child, they will not enter.

Most very young children could not grasp the doctrinal issues because of the complexity of it. I'd say once they reach the age of maturity in Christ and understand the core teachings, then yes, they will be held to account. In 2nd Timothy, it said that from "earliest childhood" he knew the Word which then enabled him to gain wisdom and faith and to receive salvation.
Those children brought up by ungodly parents are no different than anyone else, they will be held accountable once they DO hear the gospel, this is IMO only.
God Bless and save the children!
Should we honor Abortion providers for their amazing work for the Kingdom … snatching MILLIONS of souls from eternal damnation (far more than any Christian Denomination reaches) … with far greater success than any missionary program since the Book of Acts (where thousands were saved in a single day at a single location)?

That is teh core answer for those who believe infants are automatically saved!

Every singly human being at birth was saved according to this doctrine. then at some mystical magic moment they lose their salvation because then they have to trust Christ as Savior and lose the first salvation so they have to get the second salvation! Though it is extremely cruel and would make us the last generation, if this were true, we should allowe for the butcher of all infants- that way e3very single oneo f them will be in heaven and not one of them will lose their salvation to have to get saved all over again!

Same with those who think that people who never hear the gospel or the name jesus even once in their lives (current estimates are close to 3 billion). they say they are saved another way! We are fools to send missionaries to them cuz then they could lose the salvation they got and have to get saved all over again.

It is so much easier and simpler to just believe God at His Word . We are all lost from birth and need a Savior !
