A friend of mine mentioned this Christian Board, so I decided to check out what goes on here. I absolutely love theology and how others interpret the Scriptures. I was saved in 1974. Been a Baptist Pastor/Teacher for about 30 years, and a Christian Psychologist for about 7 years which I was involved in near the end of being a pastor. I love helping people become what they believe God is leading them to become. I still thrill at leading a lost soul to my Master Jesus the Christ, and observe him/her trust in Jesus as their Lord and Savior. I'm looking forward to fellowshipping with some wonderful believers in Jesus Christ.

Welcome

Do you fly a helicopter ?
Hi there Arnie, no I don't. My son used to though, he actually competed in some sort of competition. I understand that it is quite complicated to fly one. Now do you mean a real heli? or a radio controlled? My son did the radio controlled.

Anyway, I'm happy to meet you Arnie, God bless.

Happy to meet you too ..... everyone I know who goes by "chopper" is usually a helicopter pilot

I fly the Bell 47G2 , the most fun a guy can have with a stick between his legs and not go blind

I trained in 1980 , the first 10 hours are frustrating , but once you get the balance and coordination figured out it becomes fun

It is an expensive hobby and I have not flown for a while

I became a christian on November 14th 1986 at 8:00 pm

Best wishes

Thank you Madad21 for that welcome. Hey, either you're just being humble, or you're serious, and we all have to start at some point and then progress. I certainly don't know it all, and I praise YHWH for what wisdom He has given me.

Ha ha, I dont know about humble my brother.
I have recently by the very same grace you speak of acquired a diploma in introductory Theology.
It was the most dreaded of my subjects now turned in to a passion!! (God and his Irony)
I study even now although I still grasp "outside the box" thinking like trying to climb to the top of a giant ball of ice cream.
Ol' Jack our resident professor will prove better company.

Its great to have you aboard, I look forward to having to read your posts at least two or three times over before rubbing my eyes and having a nap to recuperate..

:D

OK, thanks for the explanation. Chopper comes from my motorcycling days. I rode a "hardtail chopper" if you know what that is. I bought my first "Harley" in 1963, a 1954 Panhead. I rode right up till 2009. I had two failed spine surgeries that prevent me from riding any now. :( I would think that piloting a heli ought to be a lot of fun. I envy you, in a good way, and have a lot of respect for you because of all the training and testing that you had to go thru for your license....Bravo!

So there you are my bearded Buddy. Well, I figured any forum you'd be on must be a good one, so here I am. Are you involved in a thread now? If so, can you please indicate which one? Also, what word in the dictionary did you learn today? Oh, one more question, how do I obtain a "spellcheck" for this Forum? OK, no more questions. I'm glad to hear from you.

I find it very interesting how God will take a subject that we struggle with as far as enjoying it, and in a space of time, as you say, turn it into a passion. Ah yes, the irony of God. I'm really glad that He is like that because we can't put Him in a box.

"environs' was the word of the day, but I knew it already.
It depends on what browser you use. It is part of the newest IE or Chrome but has to be enabled in the browser settings. Let me know your browser and version and I'll email you ho to set it up. If it was working on other forums it should still work here.
Again, glad you came.
Blessings.

Arnie .... Sounds like you use the KJV of "donkey" from Matthew 21:5 .... Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass.

Madad21 ... do you raise donkeys ? My daughter wanted one for years (I did not) ... so I just put it off until she turned 12 and discovered boys. She never mentioned donkeys again .... she now has a daughter of her own who wants a pony ,

Chopper .... I look forward to discussions here

Ha ha, no sorry mate, me and this picture of a donkey have been like a kindred spirit since I met him a few years ago, it reminds me of Balaams Donkey, like me hes just a dumb animal being allowed to speak the word of God but Im thinking of changing my pic to a a real pic of me, so people can see who their messin with LOL!

Mate I think its time you graced us with a picture yourself, I dont think of you as just another silhouette!.
