John 15:18"And if the world hates you, know that it hated me before you." 19"And if you had been from the world, the world would have loved its own; but you are not from the world, but I have chosen you from the world; because of this the world hates you." 20"Remember the word that I have spoken to you, that there is no servant greater than his master. If they have persecuted me, they will persecute you also; if they have kept my word, they will also keep yours." 21"They will do all these things among you because of my name, because they do not know him who has sent me." 22"If I did not come speaking with them, they would have no sin, but now there is no covering for their sin." 23"Whoever hates me hates my Father also." 24"If I had not done the works in their sight which no other man had done, they would not have sin, But now they have seen and hated me and my Father also. 25That the word which is written in their law may be fulfilled: 'They hated me for nothing.' The War On Christians: Persecution Hits Record Levels
John Stonestreet | BreakPoint | Wednesday, January 21, 2015

While in 2014 the days of throwing Christians to wild beasts in the arena may be behind us, the persecution of Christians around the world isn't. In fact, the number of our brothers and sisters subjected to imprisonment, torture, and death for their faith in just the last twelve months dwarfs the number who suffered during the entire tenure of Nero.
As a new report from a leading ministry to the persecuted church shows, last year was one of the most violent on record for believers worldwide—and 2015 could be worse.
Open Doors International released its World Watch List earlier this month, ranking the top 50 most dangerous and difficult countries for Christians to live in. Here are the results:
For the 13th year in a row, North Korea ranked as the worst persecutor of Christians. Amid executing relatives and presiding over the disappearances of his political rivals, North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un has reserved his special wrath for Christians.
Open Doors estimates that 70,000 believers are currently imprisoned for their faith in this hermit kingdom. And considering North Koreans outside of jail live in a state of semi-starvation, I shudder to think what it's like behind bars.
Executions for crimes of owning Bibles or evangelizing are commonplace. News agencies reported last year that Kim Jong-un personally sentenced 33 church planters to death.
“Christians,” explains Open Doors president David Curry, “are the No. 1 enemy of the state in North Korea.”
And that's just one frontier in the battle between the Gospel and modern Neros.
In west-central Africa, the Islamist group Boko Haram has just leveled several towns, with Christians as their new target of choice. Militants have ambushed worshipers in at least a half a dozen churches on Sunday mornings, and human rights groups report a Christian body count of over 3,000 in Nigeria alone.
And then there's the Middle East. From Iraq and Syria to Pakistan and Afghanistan, Christians are suffering for their faith on a scale not seen in living memory. Some of the world's most ancient church communities have been wiped out or displaced by the rise of ISIS, and tens of thousands of Christians have fled the Islamic State's onslaught—most likely never to return home.
“We have seen the sharpest jump in violent attacks against Christians in the modern era,”....

If the big so called "christian" countries such as the USA would conduct themselves in a manner worth of a "christian nation then it would be a lot easier for the "christians" in other countries. Alas, the hypocrits in the so called big "christian" countires allow every kind of filth and garbage and are poor examples of christianity..so why would governments of NKorea or any other country for that matter allow such in their countries?

True story. "Christian countries" haven't exactly put forth the best example. If Jesus' message was conveyed correctly the world would say "Those Christians love too much and are the most selfless people we have ever seen." When you receive the Holy Spirit you get the amazing gift of being saved and you want to share it with others. You don't get the urge to bend His word or persecute others. How do they miss the message? I don't understand it, at all. But I cling tight to the following verse from Matthew:

Matthew 25:40New International Version (NIV)
40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

"Christian" countries that allow the killing of babies (abortion), sodomy (homosexuality), pornography, drugs, etc all under the guise of "freedom" are not good examples of "Christianity"....it is no wonder other countries who the "christian" countries are trying to convert, view Christianity with hatred and contempt...it is hypocritical in their view!

USA is not a christian nation; it never was. USA is a democratic nation as in "We the People" which is symbolic of Babylon for staying together to make a name for themselves.

Any society that is democratic, may find christianity flourishing, but not for long, because in a democratic free society, you have materialism and other temptations that churches are not discipling believers in putting on their armour against.

If USA was a christian nation, they would not be allowed to have those kinds of immorality practised in public liberty & in the media.

But USA being democratic with the freedom of speech, eventually the former colonial laws of decency gets thrown out the window.

So when the Bible says the tongues is something man cannot tame, it is too bad that media cannot tame it with editting all the time.

USA is a democratic nation that persecute christians as if voicing & expressing their beliefs is the same as imposing it on others. They see christians in general as the bad guys if the few of His disciples take a stand against immorality while preaching their need for Christ as their Saviour.

It would be nice if it was a christian nation; but that will not happen until Jesus is King of kings as this democratic nation leads the country in all things hypocrtical since there is no real liberty nor justice for all, and there never has been when it is an idle boast of man.

Freedom of Religion is what a democracy is all about. We are free to have no Religion. It is good because Jesus never forced anyone!!!!!!!
Father in Heaven, Please protect the Christians Please Strengthen them. Please protect the Muslims that are being killed in the name of Religion, please let the soldiers of ISIS see the error of their ways! You know what is best. May your will be done but please don't have us send the best of our young men to be slaughtered! In Jesus name I pray for your will for the whole world!!!!!

Christianity brings the light and that brings democracy. But this has nothing to do with the US. It is a spiritual war taking place + evil people hurt kids.

''We come into your nation to preach that God of the universe gave His life for you''....uhm...we reject that because the US stopped us spreading communism into S Korea....the US takes other peoples oil....the US takes peoples land....the US watches and makes porn films. That makes no sense.

The leaders of N korea will push any anti Christian / anti US propaganda to justify their actions to their people. But anyone outside of N Korea with access to the internet, a bible, food and who does not meditate all day on Kim Jong Un propaganda....has no excuse for naivety.

Well, think about that for a while, 80% of people living here in this country identifies themselves as Christians which is complete lie if you're looking at the ongoing breathtaking moral decline of this country. The point is that if those in the United States who claim themselves to be Christians were allowing the Word of God to be the supreme authority in matter of belief and conduct, I don't see how a political candidate would be able to stand in front of thousands or millions taking bold stance on issues that are purely satanic. The leaders are responsible at some extent, but the most responsibility falls on the back of the citizens. We are now at point where political leaders are not that much concerned about how Christians would respond as a result of their position on certain issues. The bottom line is that things will get worse and worse as the end approaches. Meaning that Bible believing Christians will be persecuted, and that's where we're heading.

There has never been a Christian nation.

There have been nations that HAVE Christians, but no nation is Christian.

Also the united states is NOT a.democracy. It has democratic reforms, but then it has communist ones too.

The united states is a plutocratic oligarchy. As most nations on earth are.

Democracy, like communism, is an utopian ideal. Neither can be used in a real world context. Democracy will always slide into a republic and communism into a totalitarian regime of an oligarchy or autocracy.

The states failed to become a democracy thanks to Jefferson, Madison and Monroe. They didn't wish the nation to be under mob rules.

Further, all of the people that had a hand in the law of the nation made sure that only gentry could hold seats of power. Making it an oligarchy.

The use of the word democracy is for political obsfucation, born of the red scare.

Persecution is definitely rising around the world. We need to pray for our brothers and sisters in Nepal right now:

---
Christians and Muslims in Nepal are criticizing the draft version of a new constitution that bans religious conversion.
Spurred to action by the recent earthquake, Nepal’s government introduced the draft for public comment on June 30, Reuters reported. Religious minorities are concerned about its impact on their religious freedom and the government’s haste to finalize the document as soon as August.

Christian Solidarity Worldwide (CSW) warned language about religious conversion in the draft version “fails to allow for choosing and changing one’s faith to be seen as a positive individual choice or as a matter of individual rights, as required and guaranteed by international treaties.”

If three powerful Generals of God, Jesus, John The Baptist and Apostle Paul were unjustly murdered; what could be more touching than this?
