In Scotland, they're passing a law that a guy can go to jail for 7 years for saying things that women find offensive. The article explicitly states that women who say the same kinds of things about men would not be subject to prosecution under the law. The youtuber states this inequality is...

A funny story about why men/Dad's don't step up. I explained to my Pastor about 5 years ago that our man-hating society has created the sitation that "stepping up" involves risk of jail with no benefit. Until we come to terms with why men don't step up, continue to enjoy burying your children...

The question in this Bible Study is, "Does God identify part of his own Creation as detestable?" In Levititus 11:42 it reads: whatever moves on its stomach, goes on all fours, or has many legs — all creatures that swarm on the ground; you are not to eat them, because they are a detestable...

I thought an excellent topic for Apologetics is how to counter the reason the Jews reject Jesus. Form SIX REASONS WHY JEWS DON'T BELIEVE IN JESUS: Reason #1 – The Messiah must be from the Tribe of Judah and a Descendant of King David AND King Solomon – Jesus did not qualify. Reason #2 –...

While folks like @Behold lean heavily on faith and against works, James does talk about the union of faith and works in 2:18. The virtue of works is the objective evidence of its existence. While God rested on the 7th Day, we are not deists. God continues to work, to show his faithfulness. My...

OK. Thought I’d take a break from heavy threads. We all love the Bible and the thread title is unfair. How can we limit it to one verse that is your favorite? Yet, that is the challenge. If you must, expand to OT & NT. I’d also like to know why that particular verse is your favorite? What is...

The scene in Genesis 32-36 is the trickster, Jacob, is returning from exile after 20 years with his large contingent of wives, children, servants and livestock. They see Esau approaching with 400 men. The trickster, Jacob, arranges his contingent in reverse order of importance, with his most...

An observation made yesterday conveyed euphemistically ... CONTEXT: Teenage girl, who had a tough life, on the fence about turning to Christianity. She asks if someone accepts Jesus as their lord and savior, will they go to heaven and avoid hell? CHRIST WITNESS: Well, yes. I’m so glad you...

2 other common sayings in our culture go against the truth in Scripture. One about the volume in the glass. Is the glass half full or half empty? This contrasts with John 10:10 where Jesus came to give life and give it abundantly. The volume in the glass question has an evil premise; that we...

In another thread, I explained how Satan uses adjective-noun combinations to deceive. https://www.christianityboard.com/threads/words-of-satan.52941/#post-1490599 I thought this one is so important, it deserves it's own thread. The expression 'innocent victim' is so frequently thrown at us, it...

The inspiration for this is a coworker who observed ‘they’ play all these word games, trying to change the meaning of words. We all know Jesus is known as the word of God, the truth, the light and the way. There are those of us who can readily discern his voice, his words, his truth. In this...

While I love the series, S3 E3 blow me away. The director said now that all the Apostles are together, the show will start getting darker. Jesus returns to Nazareth while sending the Apostles on their first missionary work, where they feel wholly in adequate to the tasks. Jesus delegated to...

Today is the 2nd time in the last 6-months that I briefly changed the radio from worship to secular music. My impression was the same both times and I wanted to see if anyone else has had this experience. Normally immersed in worship music, the contrast was striking in brief excursions to...

I was struck by this verse in today's devotional reading and wondered if it included Judas?

When I clicked on it to get the web address, it read, What are the tips from flight attendants that every passenger should know before traveling?. The ad I saw on CyB read 'Pictures that share too much.' It showed 3 women, presumably flight attendants, with big smiles fondling their own...

Revelation 12:13-17 NRSV The Dragon Fights Again on Earth 13 So when the dragon saw that he had been thrown down to the earth, he pursued[a] the woman who had delivered the male child. 14 But the woman was given the two wings of the great eagle, so that she could fly from the serpent into the...

I never thought I'd see the day. https://www.newsmax.com/us/frank-pravone-pope-francis-prolife/2022/12/18/id/1101009/ I grew up being taught that the RCC stands for tradition, of orthodoxy. I guess being quite about baby killing is the new age in thing these days. So sad. Thoughts?

D-day memorial. Normandy, France.

1st, I want to express my gratitude to the The Christianity Board Moderating Team and staff, in general, for all the effort to improve CyB. A lot of changes have been made in ownership, software architecture, advertising and a lot of grace regarding passionate discussion and disputed topics...

There are so many now that RvW is gone. I was thinking return God and prayer to the classroom, school events, etc. EQUAL PROTECTION UNDER THE LAW Another would be to hold the Federal government accountable for upholding actual federal law, like border security, deportation, etc. Also...
