The true "ABIDING" in Christ, vs the heretic.

thanks for the explanation. I think i understand what you are saying. Let me ask you, is Satan saved for all time? He being born from God, according to your explanation, would make him apart of Gods family for all time regardless of what he does to dishonour that family. So can we really...

    Spotting the Heretic

I agree with you that if a believer is 'in christ' then he will be saved without a doubt. But the obligation is to 'remain in christ' is it not? If a person doesnt 'remain' in Christ, is he still saved?

    Free Will and Hell

the hell that christians preach is not the same hell that is described in the bible. the word hell (from the hebrew Sheol) in the bible means a hole in the ground or more specifically 'a grave' So its true that God warned the first couple that if they disobeyed they would 'die'.... and when...

    Spotting the Heretic

Are you trying to say that nothing you can do will prevent your salvation because Jesus blood atonement covers all sin?

The great harlot Rev 17, 18

i think it applies equally to ALL the worlds religions, catholic/protestant/orthodox/jewish/islam/hindu etc etc etc I say that because the people the world in all lands belong to God....and religion of all kinds alienates them from him. False religions that do not teach the truth about God...

    Two types of Resurrection

What is Resurrection and what are what are the different resurrections mentioned in the bible? The Greek word a·naʹsta·sis literally means “raising up; standing up.” So a person who is dead receives life again in the flesh and 'rises up or stands up' iow, he comes back to life. Physical...

    'A Better Resurrection' (Hebrews 11:35)

Hi Charity, Paul is speaking of the people who had been resurrected on earth, back to life in the flesh. Some early examples are in the days of Elijah the prophet. 1 Kings 17:17-24 Elijah resurrects a widows son Jesus resurrected people in his day, ie the resurrection of Lazarus, the widows...

Did Jesus claim to be God?

thanks, but im not sure what the point is you are trying to make here about the term 'god' being used in reference to Moses/Jesus/the belly ??? The point i was making is that the expression at John 1:1 'the word was a god' does not mean that the Word was the Almighty God. Its a word used...

Did Jesus claim to be God?

I guess i could say that same about a Man and his Wife. They are one person in 2 bodies. Yeah, i can see how you can draw that conclusion.

Did Jesus claim to be God?

Yes there is. With that in mind its good to meditate on Revelation 1:1 A revelation by Jesus Christ, which God gave him, to show his slaves the things that must shortly take place. And he sent his angel and presented it in signs through him to his slave John, 2 who bore witness to the word...

    This Generation

The gospels were written by Jews. But i can assure you they did not worship Jesus. Romans 1:8 First of all, I give thanks to my God through Jesus Christ concerning all of you, because your faith is talked about throughout the whole world. 9. For God, to whom I render sacred service with my...

Did Jesus claim to be God?

the belly is called a god at phil 3:19 Psalm 8:5 refers to the angles as gods Exodus 4:16 Moses was told that he was to serve as “God” to Aaron and to Pharaoh Jesus can be called a god, just as Moses was called a god, angels were called gods and the belly was called a god Im sure there are...

Did Jesus claim to be God?

John 1:1 comes down to translation. John said that Jesus was the Word. He also said he was With God. If John meant to say that Jesus WAS God himself...why would he say he was WITH God? This text clearly shows that John was speaking of 2 individuals.

Did Jesus claim to be God?

Yes of course, Jesus had glory in heaven before he became a man on earth. But it was not the Glory of God himself. It was his own glory as a heavenly Son of God...the position of Gods firstborn is glorious and that is the glory he was to return to. Colossians 1 explains it well: Vs...

Hi kcnalp, I believe that people from all nations will find favor with Christ... but for him to fight for just one nation in one location does not fit with Gods purpose to bring all mankind back into the fold The apostles of Christ were clear that a 'new nation' was born when Christ...
