Christ selected Paul to teach how we today are saved, not Peter, not John, not Matthew, not James but ONLY Paul
Disagree ?
Then list the verses that teach that the 12 have the same authority as Paul as taught in Acts 9:15, Rom 11:13, Rom 15:16, Gal 2:7-9, 1 Tim 1:16.

Where the teachings and writings of the other apostles are often only foundational, they are that.

But, more importantly--what do you make of Paul's "pattern" being defined by him--not as first and last, but only as "first?"

Hey Pandas, you wrote that some readers don't understand what is written in I Timothy 3:16. I supplied explanatory notes. Often the problem with comprehension of any writings is the isolating of words, phrases, sentences, and paragraphs from their context.

Context is king, it pays to remember.

Are you suggesting that when Peter, Philip, Thomas, and other apostles ministered to Gentiles, those Gentiles' conversions are to be considered doubtful because those who taught them had no authority to do so?
