I get that kind of reaction from religious kooks like yourself. Remember that Jesus was crucified by religious extremists.

Luther was Hitler's mentor...and all he did was carry out Luther's directives. Why do you think Nazism was so acceptable to German Lutherans?

Have you read Luther? Have you studied history? People who ignore history are doomed to repeat it.

On the Jews and Their Lies (German: Von den Jüden und iren Lügen; in modern spelling Von den Juden und ihren Lügen) is a 65,000-word anti-Judaic treatise written in 1543 by the German Reformation leader Martin Luther (1483-1546).

Luther's attitude toward the Jews took different forms during his lifetime. In his earlier period, until 1537 or not much earlier, he wanted to convert Jews to Lutheranism (Protestant Christianity), but failed. In his later period when he wrote this particular treatise, he denounced them and urged their persecution.[1]

In the treatise, he argues that Jewish synagogues and schools be set on fire, their prayer books destroyed, rabbis forbidden to preach, homes burned, and property and money confiscated. They should be shown no mercy or kindness,[2] afforded no legal protection,[3] and "these poisonous envenomed worms" should be drafted into forced labor or expelled for all time.[4] He also seems to advocate their murder, writing "[W]e are at fault in not slaying them".[5]

The book may have had an impact on creating antisemitic Germanic thought through the Middle Ages.[6] During World War II, copies of the book were held up by Nazis at rallies, and the prevailing scholarly consensus is that it had a significant impact on the Holocaust.[7] Since then, the book has been denounced by many Lutheran churches.[8]

Enter Hitler.....who did all of the above with Luther's blessing. Yet people are SO deceived that they use Luther to interpret the bible for them.

So agreeing that someone who isn't a believer, by their own admission, is going to hell, is judging them? When the Bible tells has over and over again that all unbelievers have their place in hell? Ok, then.

    In what?
    In anti-sementism?
Luther and Hitler were both Catholics having learned from the Catholics; "the Jews killed Christ Jesus".

Hitler Learned his "religious stance" from Catholics".
Hitler Learned his "political stance" from: Dietrich Ekhart, one of the founders in 1919, of the: National Socialist German Workers Party, that Hitler Joined, rose in ranks, shortly there started his own Nazi Party.

The odds of Hitler with any Religious order...Lutherans or Catholics...WAS their non-compliance...with subjection and adherence to Hitler's Political Power above Religious beliefs.

It was not only both Luther's and Hitler's anti-sementism...but Hitler's requirement of German citizens to Accept the supremacy of Nazism above all things....or be subject to seizure of their property and killed.

The Reich made an agreement with the Vatican...1933.
The Reich believed they had won Political approval of the Catholic Church regarding the Political power is foremost the Power above all things.
The Catholics believed they had won the compromise to not be persecuted for keeping God above all things, supporting the Reich publically, and otherwise staying out of public concourse between Political and Religous speech.

Same reason as it was for: Catholics, and Jews "converting" to Catholicism..
Fear of Backlash from Political G-men.
( Surely you must know Catholics persecuted, unbelievers and Jews, long before Hitler stepped on scene.
Surely you must know, Any man was on the spot to be subject to the Reich's Persecution, property confiscation, imprisonment, death... for standing Against the "supposed" superiority of the Reich...regardless of their religious affiliation.

I study history. And you giving Luther and German Lutherans All the Credit for Hitler's desires...is a bit lop-sided IMO...lacking facts.

Not particularly a big Secret...every religious organization invites people to come hear their
Speech in hopes the listener will Join up with them.

Luther was a Catholic who protested the "selling" of Indulgences by the Catholic Clerics.

So other Catholics and non-Catholics agreed with him??? So what?

Perhaps "Lutherans" agreed with Luther on many points, even being anti-semantic...so What?? Their Choice...point is WHY was Luther anti-Semantic? ... remember he was a Catholic...taught by Catholics. And Luther did not denounce all things he was taught by Catholics...it was the Catholics who denounced Luther.

I can't say what "all" Lutherans Follow or Agree with, or that their source is only Luther, or that he is their interpreter of Scripture.

    I am not A "Lutheran"...
I have never heard a person claim to be Lutheran and at the same time claim they have no need of Scriptures...

But I have heard a man claim he is Catholic and has NO Need of Scriptures.

I have no knowledge of Luther doling out Blessings to Hitler.

I believe a combination of eh, Naizsm doesn't sound so bad AND Fear...was the motativing factor for pretty much the bulk of German citizens during Hitler's rise to power....
    After all...Hitler was a Christian...right?

    Glory to God,
    Taken

The question is: Who decides when a verse is taken out of context!

    My two cents worth....Mary

God demands that we obey his commandments and follow in the footsteps of Jesus AND do what Jesus told us to do. That means it is NOT about us!! It is about Him.

    Hi Enoch,

That my friend is a CHRISTIAN statement straight from Scripture. :)

Unfortunately some of your unfaithful protestant friends have failed to comply with Scripture:(: i.e. gay marriage, abortion is ok, gay pastors, not doing what he told us to do (Luke 22:19) etc. You won't see that problem with a faithful Catholic.

    Keeping it real.....Mary

    Mary,

Once again you have decided to put your blinders on when it comes to the Catholic Church:

'Studies find it difficult to quantify specific percentages of Roman Catholic priests who have a homosexual orientation (either openly gay or closeted) in the United States.[23] Nevertheless, several studies suggest that the incidence of homosexuality in the Roman Catholic priesthood is much higher than in the general population as a whole.[24][25] While a Los Angeles Times survey of US priests find that 15% say they are completely or mostly homosexual, estimates of homosexual priests run as high as 50%.[23][26] [quoted from Wikipedia).

So instead of openly and honestly saying "We have a huge number of homosexual priests and bishops" the RCC sweeps this under the rug (like everything else). As to the Protestants you mentioned, they are essentially apostates.

The sin of the men of the church do not change the churches doctrines.

YOUR protestant friends (and possibly YOU) have the doctrines of gay marriage, abortion is ok, gay pastors, not doing what He told us to do etc. The CC does NOT have those doctrines!! The ACT of homosexuality is a sin. Not being homosexual. Some protestant churches openly promote and condone the homosexual act.....How sad for you and your protestant friends. Look at the log in your own eye.

Your theory is that homosexuality is NOT a problem in protestant churches??? Even though they have gay pastors and perform gay marriages??? Fascinating!!

Unfortunately the CC has swept some things under the rug.

We can't damn people to hell. That's ridiculous.
We can only warn people about hell...do you warn them? Or would you rather mock those who do?

We can not know that is for God to know. Now if I were to speculate Catholic Orthodox and Protestants I would say are on the road to final salvation, it is many evangelicals I wonder about. Still like I said earlier only God knows for sure

Major Protestant Denominations do not have such Doctrines...
Granted there is always a FRINGE.

    Agree.

    Agree.

How did you Conclude ALL Protestants are Friends...?
They...divide themselves by Denominations, based on what the members agree with.

Protestants do not All have the same Doctrines...Their commonality Begins and ends with:
The Lord Gods Church is Built upon Christ, the Cornerstone, Rock Foundation and Head of "His" Church...
That Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God.

A FRINGE, yes that applies to SOME, not ALL Protestant Churches...

The CC, has ONE Denomination...ONE C-Doctrine...and "numerous members" who have pledged themselves TO that ONE C-Doctrine... But yet...DONOT follow that C-Doctrine.
^ that is the C-FRINGE...sitting next to you in your C-Church...Perhapes even your Priest...
WHO lie to your face...Give all a FALSE impression...and SECRETLY practice and encourage homosexuality.

Yet you bad-mouth SOME Protestant Churches whose members Are Openly "Honest" about their Preferences and Tolerances of homosexuality.
And Reveal you are Advocating, dishonesty, of members of the c-Church, (acting in Secret) is more Acceptable to you, than Open and Honest.

    I find that facinating!

    Glory to God,

fwiw i might suggest digging in to where you read "believer" which is likely not what Scripture means, at least they way we define that now, and maybe using the parable of the Good Samaritan as a frame. I say this bc the Bible does not, anywhere that i know of, say anything about "unbelievers."

if you dig a pit for others, you end up in it yourself
