From The Epoch Times:

GOP Files FEC Complaint Against Twitter Over Blocking of Hunter Biden Article

By Jack Phillips
October 16, 2020 Updated: October 16, 2020
Print

The Republican National Committee (RNC) on Friday filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) and claimed that online censorship of a New York Post article about Hunter Biden’s business dealings in Ukraine and China is an “illegal corporate in-kind political contribution” to Democratic nominee Joe Biden’s campaign.

The committee said that it “believes that Twitter has violated [the Federal Employees’ Compensation Act] and the Commission’s Regulations by making corporate in-kind contributions to Biden for President,” according to the complaint. Fox News first reported on the filing on Friday.

The complaint was filed against Twitter after the company moved to block sharing of the NY Post’s article. It also locked White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany’s and a Trump campaign’s account out over claims related to the report.

The RNC asserted that Twitter “engaged in arguably the most brazen and unprecedented act of media suppression in this country’s history, and it is doing so for the clear purpose of supporting the Biden campaign.”

“Democrat media consultants can only dream of such abilities,” it added. “Through its ad hoc, partisan suppression of media critical of Biden, Respondent is making illegal, corporate in-kind contributions as it provides unheard-of media services for Joe Biden’s campaign.”

The emails that were purportedly found on Hunter Biden’s alleged laptop hard drive appeared to contradict Joe Biden’s prior statements that he had no knowledge of Hunter’s business dealings. The Biden campaign also denied the NY Post’s report saying that the former vice president met with a Ukrainian gas company official.

“The New York Post never asked the Biden campaign about the critical elements of this story,” Biden campaign spokesman Andrew Bates told news outlets on Wednesday. “They certainly never raised that Rudy Giuliani—whose discredited conspiracy theories and alliance with figures connected to Russian intelligence have been widely reported—claimed to have such materials.”

The RNC made note of campaign finance law that prohibits corporations from making contributions to federal candidates during an election. It said that Twitter’s “suppression” of the NY Post’s reporting “provides a thing of value” to Biden, suggesting that it is an in-kind contribution.

Twitter has not responded to a request for comment.

“Twitter’s decision to censor news articles that harm Joe Biden’s candidacy is so transparently biased it would make even the governments of China or North Korea blush,” RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel told Fox News of the complaint on Friday. “Fortunately, in this country, we have tools at our disposal to fight back against this type of censorship. The RNC is calling on the Federal Elections Commission to investigate whether Twitter’s actions amount to an illegal corporate in-kind contribution to the Biden presidential campaign.”

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey and a company spokesperson on Friday announced it would alter its content moderation policy following the backlash.

“Straight blocking of URLs was wrong, and we updated our policy and enforcement to fix. Our goal is to attempt to add context, and now we have capabilities to do that,” he wrote on the social media website.

Senate Judiciary Republicans on Thursday announced the panel would vote to subpoena Dorsey next week, saying the move amounted to censorship with just days to go before the November election. Meanwhile, Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Ajit Pai said Thursday that his agency will move forward with President Donald Trump’s petition to clarify the meaning of a law that gives social media and tech companies legal protection for content posted by third parties.

Well we can't allow them to get away with murder either...as has been done in the past.

Israel has to behave appropriately. (They don't have the best history of that)
Ahhhhh, has Wittle Bittie Israel been beating up on her HUGE neighbors??? How sad. I mean, just because some of her neighbors want to wipe her off the map, she should just sit tight and take it, right?

How about this scenario? You live on the Mexican border, say in Arizona, and Mexico keeps lobbing missiles across the border and hitting your town. Would you think the U.S. should just take it and do nothing? Of course not!

Maybe you should start a thread. Would be an interesting topic.

Twitter’s New Rules Worse Than Their Old Rules
Roger L. Simon

October 16, 2020 Updated: October 16, 2020
Commentary

The GOP has only itself to blame. Andrew Breitbart warned us years ago: “Politics is downstream of culture.”

Few listened—or did anything about it anyway.

Result: Twitter, Facebook, Google, Netflix, YouTube, and on and on. They rule the world.

Everyone, or almost everyone, crumbles before them, from your kindergarten teacher to major American corporations scared of being accused of racism, sexism or whatever new ism pops out of the mouth of Maisie Hirono.

You have to survive, after all.

“Better ‘woke’ than broke” has become today’s version of “Better Red than dead.” Indeed, they are much the same thing.

We live in the world according to Twitter, Facebook, and Google. A deceased Brit gave us the name for it. Welcome, as Tucker Carlson noted the other night, to the Ministry of Truth.

So when Twitter announces—via Vijaya Gadde, its “Legal, Policy and Trust & Safety Lead”—their two new principles in the wake of the Hunter/Joe Biden email censorship scandal, caveat emptor.

The first, about hacked content, is so much eyewash. The second is extremely dangerous and, yes, Orwellian:

“2. We will label Tweets to provide context instead of blocking links from being shared on Twitter”

I see. They will “provide context.”

This is actually more sinister than their previous approach—censorship. At least that was obvious.

This is, in essence, thought control.

You, the great unwashed, are not capable of analyzing for yourself. You need guidance—the same guidance they provided when publishing ad infinitum obvious disinformation about non-existent Trump-Russia collusion or propaganda from Javad Zarif, foreign minister of a country whose citizens are not allowed access to the internet but just happens to have 1.5 million Twitter followers.

I wrote “publishing” above because that’s what Twitter does, despite their denials and insistence that they only link to other publishers, supposedly giving them a firewall against lawsuits.

This appears all the more ludicrous given their new rule two, which indicates that not only are they curating, they are editorializing (i.e., publishing… Congress take note).

So, in the words of V. I. Lenin, what is to be done?

  1. Support Congressional attempts by Sen. Marsha Blackburn and others to change Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act that provides a liability shield for Twitter, Facebook, et al.
  2. Honor the memory of the extraordinary Andrew Breitbart and start building institutions of our own in the arts (like conservative/libertarian film and television companies), technology, and education. Spend real money on them. Stop wasting money on traditional but actually useless causes. (As Mark Steyn noted today, one billion was blown on the candidacy of Mitt Romney.)
  3. Join Parler.
  4. #Twexit… I’m planning on doing so the day after the election. Stop feeding the monster and he will go away. Glenn “Instapundit” Reynolds was smart enough to do this more than a year ago. Follow his lead.
  5. Counter the “poetic truth” (Shelby Steele’s words) being promulgated by the media by telling the real truth, personally, any way you can. You don’t have to own a website to do it. Everybody has a role. Be a “super spreader”… of the truth.
  6. Keep reading and subscribing to (i.e., supporting) The Epoch Times and similar outlets.
  7. Avoid Google and use DuckDuckGo.
  8. Pay close attention to what’s happening in your children’s schools all the way through Ph.D. Participate actively in changing them. (This is of paramount importance in the long term.)
  9. “Don’t let your babies grow up to be cowboys.” (Ok-kidding on that one)
  10. There’s undoubtedly more you can think of. Please feel free to add them in the comments.

That's not what I'm talking about.
They have been financially scamming their neighbors for decades.
The settlements are blatant land grabs of other nations sovereign territories.

If America annexed Tijuana Mexico... someone would say something about that.

Same thing is going on with Israel and Jordan, Syria, Egypt, and Lebanon.

Basically turning settlements into military outposts.
They have designs on surrounding lands and territories. It's blatantly obvious.

They want surrounding areas abandoned and they will do whatever it takes to make that happen. Water cut off... energy cut off...closed borders.

You're failing to mention how much of Israel's land has been given away under pressure from the West!

Unlike the U.S.A.! No land giveaways here!

But like I said, start a thread. Hey, I rhymed. :)

Edit: Just an aside, are you aware that under the last administration, Mexican troops came onto U.S. soil unchallenged??

Not really...
They negotiated it away for peace.

The "palestinian" people are sponges and ne'er do wells that followed Yasser Arafat around. First Egypt, then Lebanon and Syria and finally Jordan.
The younger generation of "palestinian" don't care one bit about what their parents/grandparents do. They are the innocent getting caught up in all this.
The Jordanian King gave these dissidents the land that Israel took from them in the war they had with Israel.
Israel was needing people to populate their newly acquired area and accepted them. Even though things were rough going they built housing for these "refugees". (Even though they tried to destabilize every government they lived under)

These palestinians then took to the emerging television programs to show how horrible Israel/Jews were treating the "Original" residents of Palestine. Arafat told his people not to live in the government housing Israel provided...but to make tents and live in squalor. They were brutal about it.

I'm not in any fashion saying that the Palestinians are innocent in this. They are very guilty of causing their own problems.

If Israel actually sealed their North Eastern Borders and all of them in reality except for trade shipments and stopped accepting the cheap labor the neighbors provide they could eventually have what they want.

But all the recreational drugs, gambling, prostitution, cheap alcohol and tobacco, and casinos are on the Palestinian side of the borders.... again not desired by the Government but desired by the people.

The Border fence is a joke but it's there. Patrolled by IDF soldiers.
The Border Wall is mired in bribery and graft.

They can fix their issues...but they don't really want to.

I literally laughed out loud when I read this because THEY GOT NO PEACE out of the deal! Well, maybe for a minute.

I'm glad that you don't see the Palestinians as completely innocent, but who are these people?? From what I understand, they are Arabs, so why don't their Arab relatives that surround Israel take them into their countries that have FAR more landmass than Israel?? Unfortunately, the Palestians are being used as pawns by Israel's enemies, including her enemies in the West, esp. the liberal U.S. media. No surprise here!

So the shield that Biden is using is that since facebook and Twitter have refused to discuss it neither shall they....

Not "it's not Hunter's laptop"
Or
Those aren't his emails.
Or
It's all slander and patently false.
It's only...

Crickets are chirping....
Why did the Senate committee investigate this stuff and conclude that while things could be looked at as usual or doubtful, no evidence existed that Hunter Biden had committed a crime? Republicans conducted that witch hunt, and it turned up nothing. Shortly after they admitted they had nothing, this bizarre story shows up.

September 23, 2020 GOP report: No wrongdoing in Biden son ties to Ukraine firm, but still 'problematic'

A report released Wednesday by Senate Republicans found that the role of Joe Biden's son, Hunter Biden, on the board of the Ukrainian energy company Burisma was "awkward" and at times "problematic" for U.S. officials dealing with the country, but provides no new evidence and found no instance of policy being altered as a result of his role.

"The extent to which Hunter Biden’s role on Burisma’s board affected U.S. policy toward Ukraine is not clear," the report finds.

Republican Sen. Ron Johnson, who led the investigation as chair of the Homeland Security Committee, had openly said he hoped the election-year probe would hurt the Democratic nominee and help President Donald Trump while Democrats had decried the effort as purely political.

That Senate investigation was political and paid for by tax dollars. Meanwhile the Republicans in the Senate were stalled and not doing the business of the people. The country is still in danger economically, and all the Republicans can do is conduct a witch hunt?

Why is the FBI investigating the possibility of Russian involvement?

US authorities investigating if recently published emails are tied to Russian disinformation effort targeting Biden

US authorities are investigating whether recently published emails that purport to detail the business dealings of Joe Biden's son in Ukraine and China are connected to an ongoing Russian disinformation effort targeting the former vice president's campaign, a US official and a congressional source briefed on the matter said.

The probe is part of a larger investigation into Russian disinformation that dates back to before the impeachment inquiry last fall. The alleged disinformation campaign is aimed at tying the former vice president to his son's dealings with the Ukrainian energy company Burisma, according to US officials familiar with the matter.

The New York Post says it obtained the emails through two Trump confidants: His personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani and his former chief strategist Steve Bannon.

Giuliani has openly coordinated with a known Russian agent to promote disinformation about the Bidens. The Washington Post reported Thursday the White House, and Trump personally, were warned in 2019 that Giuliani "was being used to feed Russian misinformation" to the President. Separately, Bannon was recently charged by the Justice Department with orchestrating a million-dollar fraud scheme and accused of deceiving thousands of donors to his nonprofit.

I heard when Trump was told about Giuliani, he responded, "That's Rudy."

There are so many holes in that story, I don't know where to start! Giuliani changed his story and said Hunter was drunk when he dropped off the laptop. Good grief, if you're going to cook up a story and lie, at least get your lies straight before you start talking.

Rudy Giuliani Changes Hunter Biden Laptop Story

President Donald Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani changed the story of how Hunter Biden’s laptop was acquired on SiriusXM Patriot’s The David Webb Show, Thursday.

“The process was that the laptop was left by Hunter Biden, in an inebriated… heavily inebriated state with the merchant,” claimed Giuliani on the show. “The merchant fixed the laptop, tried to reach Hunter Biden and Hunter Biden never came back for it.”

“The document that I have signed by Hunter Biden says that after 90 days the hard drive is abandoned and it becomes the property of the merchant. Sometime after it became his property, he became very suspicious that maybe he had evidence of a crime sitting in his office,” he went on. “So he listened to it and he found that he did.”

Once again we see that the Republicans who are supposed to be governing the country are all talk and no action. For the last four years they have talked about how these social media giants are deliberately censoring truth and conservatives, while promoting lies and suppressing facts, and that this should stop. But nothing was done about this all along, and now we are seeing the results of allowing Google, Facebook, Twitter, etc to control the narrative totally. They are committed to blocking all news which exposes the Leftists and the Deep State.
Maybe the Republicans are the problem. Maybe they're the Bolsheviks and deep state guys. Only Donald Trump is pure and honest.

Let's hope and pray that rather than "maybe" it is "for sure". At the same time Satan will do his utmost through the evil and corrupt Democrats to sabotage Trump. But what he needs to do though is stop sabotaging himself, by appointing the Swamp Dwellers to high office in his administration, instead of having them locked up. Fauci should already have been locked up.
You sound as if you think Satan is more powerful than God.

Here's the plan: Trump will get elected again. He'll see to it that the Jews build another Temple. That will make it possible for Antichrist to show up, and then after that Jesus can come. That's the plan, right? If Trump doesn't get elected again, it would mess everything up. Maybe Jesus wouldn't come again.

You think Trump sabotages himself? He can't. He's doing what God tells him to do, don't you think -- or maybe you think Satan is putting ideas into Trump's head? I can't figure out what you think.

You may be right! Except the part about Jesus not coming again. He will come back at God's appointed time just as He did the first time.

Yeah...
Well the Coui Bono (who benefits?) question was not asked of the investigators...

If they were personally involved in similar schemes as this one...(which is somewhat normal for DC) then they just convicted themselves.

You are still not coming to grips with actual facts that are known. I'll be the first to say Hunter Biden's job with Burisma looks horrible. He had no qualifications for the job other than his father was Joe Biden. Burisma may have hoped to get favors by hiring him, but that is not evidence that they did. It looks shabby to me, for sure; but that doesn't mean a criminal offense was committed.

My opinion is that if a politician cares about his reputation, it's not enough to avoid wrong doing. He should avoid the appearance of wrong doing; and I think Joe could probably prevented Hunter from being hired.

Will wonders never cease? Again, I agree with you that politicians should avoid even the appearance of wrongdoing, just like Christians should.

I believe that what we’re seeing is just the tip of the iceberg. So...stay tuned, more to come.

But if the people who support Trump are unconcerned about the appearance of wrongdoing in Trump, why should they be concerned about the appearance of wrongdoing in the Bidens? This seems more moral hypocrisy to me.

Is there no shame? Are there no lengths you'll go to? Have you no conscience? -- Joe met with Burisma executive Vadym Pozharskyi:

Voters have right to know what Joe Biden did for son Hunter

... And yet, an email obtained by The Post shows a senior Burisma executive thanking Hunter for the opportunity to meet Joe Biden just 12 months after Hunter joined the Burisma board at a reported salary of up to $50,000 a month.

“Dear Hunter, thank you for inviting me to DC and giving an opportunity to meet your father and spent [sic] some time together. It’s realty [sic] an honor and pleasure,” wrote top Burisma executive Vadym Pozharskyi in the April 17, 2015, email. ...
