The misunderstanding comes from hearing such things as ,,,we're not under the law.Yes, that is nonsense.
It also shows a lack of understanding of God's Word.
Many don't even understand what this means...
But it sure sounds good.

Of course.I think catholics have been at war with protestants since the Reformation.
Have you ever heard me use that term? The misunderstanding comes from hearing such things as ,,,we're not under the law.

Pick a side.Of course.
So?
I still can't steal...
Have I not said 100x that I post for new Christian's reading along?Yes, that is nonsense.

You can't be a Pontius Pilate and wash your hands of the matter.
No.Have you ever heard me use that term?
Welcome jimd.Greetings folks, I am new to this forum.
As far as I can tell no one has ever been saved by the law. Only one has ever kept the law. The law is what brings some to the Lord realizing they cannot keep it and seeking salvation. According to the scripture everyone who is accountable knows the law instinctively just as they know instinctively there is God.
You keep using the word required.Welcome jimd.
This seems to be the question...
You're right of course, the law does not save.
Grace through faith saves.
Once a person is saved, is he required to obey God and/or His commandments, whatever they may be?
You don't like the word required? You keep using the word required.
I bet you can't even find it in the Bible.
Check out John 14:15You keep using the word required.
I bet you can't even find it in the Bible.
And do you keep all his commandments?Check out John 14:15
And many others...
I don't have a point??And do you keep all his commandments?
NO!
Just the ones you want.
That's my point.
My point is that you don't have a point.
I have no questions.
I don't like what I heard.
Telling you there was no reply is not lashing out.
You never did answer why Jesus spoke in parables.
I know why,,,just wondering if you knew to continue the conversation.
No problem.
No questions...really?
Thanks Gods Grace. Yes, of course we are required to obey the law, only now that we are saved we are credited with perfect obedience by grace through faith that is accompanied by works. In other words Jesus makes it possible the same way He makes salvation possible.Welcome jimd.

Job?![]()
(Job 23:10-12) "But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold. {11} My foot hath held his steps, his way have I kept, and not declined. {12} Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food."
