I'm leery of these white powder sweeteners. How did they get so white and fluffy? stevia- allulose-- Bleached? Processed.Or allulose ....has a much smoother taste without the aftertaste many dislike with stevia.
Honey has so many health benefits ....but it will spike glucose significantly. So those trying to lower carbs for metabolic issues should beware. I realize that stevia is a plant and it's green. Most stevia products contain sugar alcohols that can have negative effects on the body, like gastrointestinal issues. Most people also aren't growing stevia, although it is a wise things to do.I'm leery of these white powder sweeteners. How did they get so white and fluffy? stevia- allulose-- Bleached? Processed.
I grow stevia (Its very GREEN) which is easy to grow, and pop a bit of leaf into the dressing before emulsifying it.
The leaves can also be dried and saved. I add it to iced tea also. I have no problems using it but I've heard some do.
For the small amount I use, sometimes I do opt for raw honey. 17 g carb in a tablespoon.. if I use a tablespoon in a carafe of dressing- it's minimal carbs at one sitting.
That is correct information. I've gone to doctors for 40 years and all said the same thing, drink more red wine, eat nuts, exercise, I told all of them the same answer, alcohol is bad for you in every study, i just walked a 1/4 mile to your office from the parking lot and didn't get out of breath and which nuts?, some are not good for you. My LDL is higher than my HDL and studies have shown the higher LDL is linked to longer life. I no longer go to doctors and I refuse to take any drug. The lord has told what to eat and I'm heathy.Btw ....this article says that higher cholesterol is associated with a longer lifespan.

Yeah, there's that. Plus, for you younger folks, be aware that stevia is a bit of a traditional contraceptive i.e. it has hormonal impacts.the aftertaste many dislike with stevia.
I grow it and eat it, as well. Planted it from seed nearly three years ago; it comes back again every season.I grow stevia (Its very GREEN) which is easy to grow, and pop a bit of leaf into the dressing before emulsifying it.
Green is the way to go/grow, while processed stevia has other ingredients that can cause problems. Also, a recent class action claims the maker of Splenda Naturals Stevia products has misled consumers by deceptively marketing the sweetener as “100% Natural.”Most people also aren't growing stevia, although it is a wise things to do.
Wow, I'm at a loss then. I don't use a lot of stevia, but idk what is considered enough to cause problems. I just use it for tea and lemonade, salad dressing and coffee. If I'm gonna break down enough to eat junk food like pie or cake- I will just eat the junk and get right back on track. That's not often. - special occasions.Yeah, there's that. Sometimes you just gotta say, what the hey? Stevia is good, as you mentioned, blended up; has a clean taste that way.I don't use a lot of stevia, but idk what is considered enough to cause problems.
Others are running bees at my site, so I get the best honey. Wonderfully different seasonal tastes. And honey stores forever.Isnt there a sweetener that is safe and not bleached and processed aside from stevia leaves?
The powder stevia is horrid and the white is just scary.. even the liquid isn't as bad as the powder, but I have a feeling it may be made from powder. Could be some are made from leaves I haven't checked into that.Sometimes you just gotta say, what the hey? Stevia is good, as you mentioned, blended up; has a clean taste that way.

Or, we could just pack it up and head over to TitusTwoWife's table for some of that N. Carolina hospitality.

My problem has always been a lack of appetite. I get full quickly. I've been eating about an 18-20oz ribeye daily for about 2 or 3 weeks. Other than that, I may eat about 4 eggs. Working my way up to 6 eggs a day. That's good for me.Got in a workout today this evening. My first meal was steak and pork belly strips with pork cracklins and a Jerky stick.
Dinner was steak, boiled eggs, and sliced pepperoni. My husband and our roommate got egg carnivore muffin bites for lunch. Tomorrow they'll be getting burgers, bacon, and pork belly strips for lunch
Watched it today. I enjoyed it. A lot of the themes of what she was saying is similar to my life and where God has me.I love this. I thought you'd be interested in this, @TitusTwoWife
Love her content tooThis is a carnivore channel I watch regularly.
"Why Carnivore Stopped Working ...or did it?"
Day 11 of being on Carnivore again: Four pounds down and feeling in great moods all day. I had a couple days of keto flu, which I've never had any of our other carnivore times. Keto flu is a body's response to detoxing from sugar. The sugar bacteria in your gut try to send cravings for sugar to keep themselves alive.
Mine was mild with just a runny nose, muscle aches, and lethargy.
Im glad because this is a great sign of transitioning fully into ketosis.
I love pork belly strips for my first meal and steak for my second meal. I can add eggs, Jerky strips and pork cracklins too.
