This may sound trivial, but I have hatched some chicks in some incubators and I helped this one chick that was stick in its shell. She/it is almost 2 days old and not eating or drinking water on its own like the others. I have mixed some nutrient paste that 8s for kittens into filtered water and helped this baby drink from a dropper. It had been chirping nonstop but is finally sleeping now in my hand. It wants to be in my hand at all times. lol

I've been up since 4am nursing this little one. I'm hoping the silence and sleep means it's feeling better.

Please pray for this little one with me.

  • It's hard to tell if I'm doing the right thing with this chickie. I used a paper towel and a q tip to clean her with warm water. She's snuggled into my hand trying to sleep. I've covered her up with a soft cloth.1000006896.jpg1000006892.jpg1000006893.jpg

Thank you all for your prayers. My little chickie passed peacefully in my hand late last night. :( She seemed to go quickly and peacefully, which is what I prayed for ...that if God was taking her, she would have a peaceful transition.

I know she was just a little chick, but she touched my heart and God uses these little animals to get at places in our hearts. It was a rough night ...but I was able to open up some places related to other losses, that needed to be touched by God. He knows. ❤️
Much love to you all, in Christ ❤️

Yes, and I could feel she was comforted ...I softly spoke to her the whole time ....she wanted to be "brooded" so I spent hours with her in my hand and the soft blue cloth wrapped gently around to keep warmth in.

Some people have a special calling. I would never know what or how to take care of a cute little guy like that. I pray he gets better.

I've hatched out about 200 chicks. Most have been healthy and fine. A few died, and now I have one with splayed legs. I have never done this before, but there's YTU (YouTube University). lol

And, there is my local Tractor Supply. I was told to put the little chickie into a small teacup a few hours a day and that will train her legs to stay together. Also, I have a booster/supplement to put in her water. Just need to do her "physical therapy" and make sure she's eating and drinking.

Isn't that how God deals with us?
We are born on this sick planet never having asked to, we are trust into circumstances beyond our control, we are like that little chick.

Yes ...and that's what God has ministered to my heart during these situations.

You know, I had an aggressive rooster... beautiful, but very aggressive. I had to capture him several times and bond his feet and wings while I walked around the yard with him, talking to him, etc. I explained to him that if he didn't shape up, I'd have to rehome him (bc he was fighting with my nice rooster, too). I explained that I was just coming in every day to feed him and his girls, and clean out their water, etc. and he didn't need to fight me ...I was working for his/their good.

And yes, God used that to minister to me as well. How often, people forget that every good and perfect gift comes from God our Father. We sometimes fight against His plans that are for our good if we're not careful.

Isn't it amazing how God speaks through life's situations?
