I.e. your correct. We win the war over the body, by winning first in the mind to have the mind of Christ and a pure heart perfect toward God.@robert derrick thank you for sharing but I did not reward your post. Could you shorten it up to me what you are saying or suggesting?
Things keep coming up that I see no Scripture for, but only is from a certain way of reading them by a certain pretaught doctrine.
No Scripture ever says God 'created imperfection', which means He did not create an imperfect christ, who was made perfect by sufferings, so that God deified Him with resurrection.
You are absolutely correct, you did. You are the one who said point blank Adam was not perfect.
There is no human perfection in this world, but there is Christian perfectness of the saints.
Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
Double-minded Christians are them that know to do good, and yet do it not, because they have yet to purify their hearts of the lust of the world.
They have perpetually besetting sin, because their minds are yet at war with the law of sin in their minds.
They have not yet taken the offensive against the law of sin by the sword of the Spirit and law of Christ. They are in a continuing defensive struggle against sin in the mind, which allows lust in the heart, and so commits sins of the body.
@Ronald Nolette John's First Epistle indeed speaks of the Lord's blood which 'cleanesth (present continuous) from all sin'...Welcome to the World of the precious Children of God who are heaven bound!
And no our minds we serve the law of god, but with our human nature we serve sin, and yes every single believer that has ever lived has not attained to what many call practical perfection, which is one who has ceased from commiting any sin from a specific point to teh end of their life (except for may be those who stopped sinning a day before their death LOl)
This is a journey where we as the children of God are learning and rgrowing and hopefully ever more becoming more like Jesus!
God forgave all our sins already, and as it says in Hebrews have alredy declared uys perfect forever, and now He is in theprocess of making us what He declared usa to be.

I think the idea is that to those who are trusting in the work of Christ at the Cross and are clearly walking in the light as evidence of it, may indeed be attributed to them the cleansing of His precious blood.Yep! and sometime the cleansing process takes longer than other times. And God also will leave many habits of sin alone while He is dealing with others. He is patient. He knows He has us, and He will perfect us according ot His schedule and plan, not some people who try to force God to perfect all at once.

This really isn't a thread for sinners saved by grace, but nonetheless, it's always interesting to see how the carnal mind twists Scripture to their liking.Welcome to the World of the precious Children of God who are heaven bound!

1. The teaching is true:
Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.
2. Adam was created perfect, even as Lucifer:
He was made a perfect sinless immortal body.
He was made a living soul without sin by the Spirit.
He was created with a pure heart and perfect toward God.
His mind was made sound and true.
He made himself imperfect the same way Lucifer did: he allowed sin of unbelief toward the commandment of God into his mind, to take root as lust in his heart to transgress it.
We know this, because he did so.
He became double minded to do both good and evil, and upon doing the evil of disobeying God, his soul died, his body was made mortal, and his blood became corrupted with sin.
And when he neither confessed nor repented, he was driven from the garden altogether, because he still did not believe the judgement of death by transgression.
He was made perfectly pure and uncorrupted, but did not go on to perfection and incorruptibility, as the saints are called to do by the second Adam, who remained uncorrupted by sin undo death.
The only reason His body died on the cross, was because He left it behind to enter into the heart of the earth to preach by the Spirit to the spirits in prison and to resurrect Himself by the same Spirit with new eternal body.
The Father commanded the Son to lay down His life and to take it up again, and the Son commanded the Spirit to enter the heart of the earth and be raised again.
Yes Jesus was perfect, and remains so today. One does not think of a spirit being having a body Robert, although we picture them that way. Jesus did die completely and had to be resurrected, no part of him survived his death. What a wonderful thing that will be when hell releases all those captiive there in the resurrection Rev 20:13. Instead of going to funerals, we will be welcoming them back. Do you pray for that day as well sir?

That's pretty appropriate. Welcome to the World of...
Incredible.
For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
Question: what is the difference between the world of sinners and the World of saved sinners?
This really isn't a thread for sinners saved by grace, but nonetheless, it's always interesting to see how the carnal mind twists Scripture to their liking.
Saved sinners in sin are the silly women of Christian religion.
Habits of sin? Sin is just a bad habit? Truly childish stuff. Saved sinners in sin can't even talk like serious adults, much less ever live like Christ.
Saved sinners in sin are the kindergarten of Christian religion.
So are you living 24/7 sinlessly in thought, word and deed, or are you just a judgmental silly Christian woman? If you think you are- you just blew it, for you lied.Your ad-hominems are really old and moldy.

re you actually old enough to be on this thread? Were you born immaculately or did you develop habits, patterns. "besetting sins". I am sure glad Jesus forgives 70X7 and not like how you seem not to based on your writing.
Well rather be in the kindergarten of heaven, than the universities of hell. I prefer a saint who struggles in sin, but has a penitent heart, than 1,000,000,000,000 saints who sound like you and ready to shoot your own brethren for being imperfect. Is your middle name Caiphas? For you sure sound like the pharisees of old.
I do have a question for you. Does the God have a soul?
Do you pray for that day as well sir?
I pray that I live for it.
You mean go and sin no more? Of course.
If that is what go and sin no more means, then of course. So I don't misunderstand you, you are telling all here that you longer sin in thought word or deed at all or any moment in time?
