I've seen plenty of your unrepented sinners walking after the flesh, trying to say all are like you.
Since you are writing to me,
while you are still flesh and blood,
and are not "changed" into the likeness of Christ's Immortality,
you are NOT "Sin-FREE".
However, through faith in the shed blood of Christ for your sins,
Christ's atonement for your sins, makes you to be "Sin-LESS" in The eyes of God the Father.
Don't you yet understand the words of God's Holy Spirit through John the Baptist:
"Behold the Lamb OF God, who taketh away [removes] the sin of the world".
I haven't yet seen one like you, trying to make me say the same
Then you haven't yet
personalized God's Gift of His salvation to you! Here, give it a try,
by replacing the words "the world" with [your own name]:
John 3
[
16] For God so loved [
your name], that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Jesus Christ came and walked in the flesh, yet without sinning. So do His newborn brethren and sons of God, that are now walking in the flesh even as He walked.
Jesus Christ was physically born WITHOUT SIN, from above OF the Holy Spirit of God.
We are physically born WITH SIN from beneath, WITHOUT the Holy Spirit of God.
All people on earth are still walking in the flesh. Not all people on earth are unrepented sinners like YOU walking after the flesh.
So then, if that is your conclusion, then what are the characteristics of Christ, that proves to one, that they ARE walking in the Spirit, and not that of their flesh?
Nor do all unrighteous sinners walking after the flesh, are trying to justify themselves like YOU.
I don't know of
any self righteous people who are justified by Christ. But, I do know of
many sinners who are justified by Christ.
Mat. 9
[
13]
But go ye and learn what that meaneth,
I will have mercy, and not sacrifice:
for
I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
This is more normal. Replacing 'me' with 'you'.
Your gospel of being made righteous, while still doing unrighteousness, is as old as the serpent promising you are as an everlasting god while doing both good and evil, as it pleases you at the time.
Yes! By faith in Christ, I am made to be "Sin-LESS", but while I walk on this earth, in this body of flesh and blood, I am not "Sin-FREE"
If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
You misunderstand, because you misinterpret the context.
3 John 1
[
7]
For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
[
8] Look to yourselves,
that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.
[
9]
Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ [in ref. to verse 7], hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
[
10]
If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
[11] For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.
Peter was telling Jesus He did not have to die to be resurrected unto life. YOU tell yourself you don't have to crucify your old man and life, to be raised up in Christ Jesus.
I don't crucify anything. In the day that I became born again of God's Holy Spirit through Christ, I have
taken part in
both Jesus' death and His resurrection.
Satan, through Peter, did not know that Jesus was going to
gain the victory over His own death,
as well as ours, by being resurrected from death into New Life.
Jesus quite literally IS "the FIRST Resurrection" himself. He is The FIRSTborn from the dead". And we, while we have breath, who are
NOW taking part in the First resurrection, truly are blessed. Rev. 20:6; 2 Peter 1:4.
ALL who believe in Him
are also given that victory over death. By being born again from above, by the Gift of God's Holy Spirit, we now
HAVE eternal life. 1 John 5:11-13
YOU also tell yourself you don't have to repent God's way from all your sins and trespasses, to be saved and justified by your own faith and doctrine alone.
Lol!
I have repented (metanoeo) towards God, by believing in Jesus, and therefore I have received
the (another mind), being the
"another Comforter", the Holy Spirit
("mind") of Christ. Rom. 8:8-9; 1 Cor. 2:16.
All such faith and doctrine cards savoring man's unrepentance, ends in the grave.
Agreed.
Under the New Covenant, unrepentance towards God (metanoeo) ends in the grave. The Gift of God's eternal life cannot be Given to anyone AFTER physical death.
