Roman catholics worship the pope.
They get down on their knees before him and kiss his ring.
That is worship of the man.
They worship him so much, they call him "Holy Father".
I wonder what God thinks of that?
I have to agree.
It's nice to have ONE authority --- keeps things organized.
But it does go too far...
The Vicar of Christ.
Christ needs a Vicar??

Are you the righteousness of God?
You're dodging the question.
I asked you to produce a Catholic doctrine from the Catechism that promotes the "worship" of Mary.

If you can't do this - just admit it and move on . . .

Did you know that priests study psychology?
Ask one.

If you say someone lied, it means they're a liar.
If you say I steal, it means I'm a thief.
Etc.

You are full of lies.
You lie.

See?
Did you like that?
Why not stick to debating and quit calling person's liar just because they don't agree with you.

Do you go to a church?
I doubt it,,,ask your priest if he could give communion to a remarried person.
Please post his answer.
You ARE a traditionalist, btw.

You never called me a "Liar". I never called YOU a "Liar."
You seem to be confused on this point.

Secondly - I don't say that people lie just because they "disagree" with men. I accuse you of lying - when you LIE.
You spend a lot of time on this forum lying about and misrepresenting what the Catholic Church teaches. That's why I hold you accountable and NOT because you simply "disagree" with me.

Now - to your last question - I have fiends who are divorced, had their marriages annulled and receive communion every week. This is nothing new - so why would you claim that it is??

Another lie. . .

NO denomination is part of the body of Christ.
Put your reading glasses on.
Who taught you this?? Certainly NOT the Catholic Church.

The Catholic Church is the Original Tree that Protestantism splintered from. It is the Body of Christ. "Denominations" came from Protestantism.
All Baptized Christian Protestants are related to the Body of Christ, albeit, self-separated from the Body.

Another lie, GG??

Also, I made a solid statement in post #300 that you have chosen to ignore.
After you answer my question, how about tackling that?

You don't know your history.
There were always pockets of Christians that would not join in with the pagan roman church.
These pockets of Christians are the remnants spoken of in Scripture that would not become corrupt.

1. Did I mention the word "annulled"?

2. What's the difference between a lie and a disagreement?
You seem to call a disagreement a lie.
Please explain.
Thanks.

You mean,
You mean,
ALL my catholic friends are members of the Body of Christ?????

I DON'T THINK SO.
Who is a member of the Body of Christ according to you?
Whole denominations??
Ephesians 4:1-16
Romans 8:9

You believe that Romans 8:9 could pertain to an entire congregation??

You just called a Christian ignorant and brain dead. By inference.
No - I said that ignorant anti-Catholics were brain-dead.
I never called any person here "brain dead." Try being honest for a change.
Catholics say they don't WORSHIP Mary. Then they proceed to pray to her,,,like to God.
They say grace flows through her,,,grace comes from God.
They call her the mother of God. God doesn't have a mother.
If she was the mother of God, SHE would be God since she would have had to exist first...

Now, before you tell me Jesus is God, think.
And there you go again telling lies.
Can you ever stop??

First of all, Jesus IS God. If you don't believe that - then you are not a Christian, by definition.
Secondly - He unites to Himself TWO natures - Human and Divine. These two natures are INDIVISIBLE (hypostasis).
Thirdly, Mary gave birth to Jesus, who is God. She didn't give birth to a "nature" any more than YOUR mother did.

Hence, Mary is the Mother of God.
She is NOT the Mother of the Trinity.

Finally - as to praying to Mary - there is nothing wrong or "unbiblical" about this.
To "Pray" simply means to "ASK":
Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary:
Full Definition of pray
transitive verb

1: entreat, implore —often used as a function word in introducing a question, request, or plea<pray be careful>
2: to get or bring by praying

intransitive verb
1: to make a request in a humble manner
2: to address God or a god with adoration, confession, supplication, or thanksgiving

Notice that worship of God is a secondary definition and NOT the primary one . . .
