Eternal security, or as i prefer, perseverance of the saints is Biblical, and works hand in hand with the doctrine of election. Who could believe that those who God chose to save, could ever fall away?? Its literally impossible. The Elect WILL be saved.

The miracle of creating the universe is no less than the miracle of when someone is saved. There is celebration in Heaven at each person becoming a new person, born again.

My point on this thread is quite apart from your thoughts on the "necessity to 'keep believing' to 'keep being saved'". My point on this thread is to comment on the certainty that those who are raised with Christ will appear with Him.

The clear implication here is that those who are raised with Christ do in fact "keep believing", although the way you word that shows a discinct difference in how you and I view salvation, and rebirth.

Still, when you reword things and attribute your wording to me, well, I know what that is.

@MatthewG I do think verse 23 of Matthew 13 corresponds to the true believer's experience: the good ground, which receives the Word which takes root and is not plucked up or stifled.

dunno, but fly like birds is in an Isaiah translation…31:5, and i guess also in Psalms, 55:6
and we have enough believers think they are gonna fly away i guess, huh

I agree with this.
Everybody who is raised with Christ is a believing person, not a person who never believed, and not a former believer.
So of course every believing person is raised with Christ and will appear with him, lol! That's not what's in dispute.

I don’t know what most people believe here about the afterlife. Guess it would really depend on the context.

Here are the answers as Jesus stated then accordingly.


4“ And as he sowed, some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds came and devoured them. 5 Some fell on stony places, where they did not have much earth; and they immediately sprang up because they had no depth of earth. 6 But when the sun was up they were scorched, and because they had no root they withered away.

“18 Therefore hear the parable of the sower: 19 When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the wayside. 20But he who received the seed on stony places, this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy; 21 yet he has no root in himself, but endures only for a while. For when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles.”

Not all cases but in some fowls of the air or birds of the air is a statement or metaphor for evil.

It is "the tree of the knowledge of GOOD AND EVIL". Only Adam and Eve ate of that fruit, but as a result they brought sin and death upon humanity.
