Now even some Archbishops are openly defying the Pope and banning priests under their charge from obeying the Pope's directive.

We need more brave Catholic clergy and laypersons alike to take a stand.

Catholic Archbishop Tomasz Peta and Bishop Athanasius Schneider have banned priests in the Astana, Kazakhstan, archdiocese from blessing same-sex couples.

In a statement released Tuesday in Russian, the bishops in the Metropolitan Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Saint Mary took a stand against a push by some in the Church to start blessing the couples.

"We exhort and prohibit priests and the faithful of the Archdiocese of Saint Mary in Astana from accepting or performing any form of blessing whatsoever of couples in an irregular situation and same-sex couples," the statement read in English.
That has always been the case in the first place.
"Such a blessing directly and seriously contradicts Divine Revelation and the uninterrupted, bi-millennial doctrine and practice of the Catholic Church," it continued. "With such blessings, the Catholic Church becomes, if not in theory, then in practice, a 'propagandist' of the globalist and ungodly 'gender ideology.'"

No such blessings exist. Radicals are pushing for it, not the Pope.

Pope Francis has referred to gender ideology as “one of the most dangerous ideological colonizations” today 1. He believes that gender ideology is dangerous because it blurs the differences and the value of men and women, which is contrary to the human vocation 1.

Pope Francis has frequently used the term “ideological colonization” throughout the 10 years of his pontificate, particularly to describe instances when aid money for developing countries has been tied to contraceptives, abortion, sterilization, and gender ideologies

1. In his 2016 exhortation Amoris Laetitia (The Joy of Love), the Pope wrote that, by denying the “difference and reciprocity in nature of a man and a woman” and promoting a “personal identity and emotional intimacy radically separated from the biological difference between male and female,” gender ideology ultimately makes human identity “the choice of the individual” and undermines the “anthropological basis for the family”
2. Pope Francis has characteristically made pastoral care of people with gender dysphoria a priority, and he is rightly concerned about their health and well-being. He has called gender ideology “evil” and a contemporary example of colonization 3.

MEDICAL PROFESSION BOWS TO TRANSGENDERISM

Bill Donohue
Elites in the medical profession have taken up the cause of transgenderism. They know that what they are promoting cannot be scientifically validated, but their politics overrides such considerations.
We have prepared a two-part series on this issue: one on the medical schools and the other on medical associations and journals
. Part I is being released today; Part II will be released Dec. 27.
To read Part I, click here.

It looks to me the media and Christians who oppose the Pope are barking up the wrong tree.

You had the priest bless your motorcycle.

You should have asked him to forgive it's sins so you can someday ride in Catholic heaven.
Hey Mr E.

Motorcycles don't sin and there is no "Catholic heaven". There is only heaven....

None the less... @Illuminator gave you a serious answer to a question that you seemed sincere in wanting to know his answer. You elicited his opinion with what appeared to be a serious question to start a serious discussion, and then mocked him. Why?

It's okay. You don't have to say anything. I understand the concern that Catholic leaders must have and the fear of speaking out against abominable positions their Pope takes. Bishop Strickland got booted out for exactly that.

Funny how people who so readily condemned Twitter for censorship, now want to pat the Pope on the head for worse...

The Vatican's investigation into Strickland came after the 65-year-old bishop had been posting social media messages and making other announcements critical of the Pope's support of "radical left-wing changes" to Church teachings.

It's interesting to watch folks speaking out against the Catholic Church's position on the gay question.

Catholics, and many Catholic leaders are condemning their Pope's statements, which he made on behalf of the organization.

Several Bishops, priests and evangelical leaders like Franklin Graham have spoken out against the Catholic position.

Add a Jewish chief rabbi to the growing list.

Do you know who has been silent? Members here-- @Marymog @Illuminator @BreadOfLife @Philip James ...... crickets.

Hey Troll,

Does what the pope said effect you and your beliefs?

Hey Troll,

What abominable position has the pope taken? OR better said; What do you THINK the pope said/meant?

Has anyone from your church been 'booted' for speaking out against your church leadership?

Didn't Francis once say atheists will enter Heaven?
He implied it to the kid who had asked about his own dad who was an athiest and had died .
He said well didnt he drop you off at the catholic church and didnt he do good things .
And the kid said yes he did . Even though he was an atheist , the pope then implied he would be in heaven .
But this is not the only thing the pope has said . You should see his twenty sixteen prayer . Implying all religons
are finding their way to GOD and that we are all children of GOD .
then the muslim , the buddist , the christain and etc were all saying GOD is love . THEY are trying to get us
to believe in this fairy tale that simply if one does good , has love , it dont matter what religoin they believed in
if even any religion at all . Its the formation of a one world religoin and they are obtaining it
by and through the word love . They are slick and many are now buying into the lie .
The dire necessity to have to believe on JESUS CHRIST is getting tossed aside
in fact many are beginning to even see the true gospel of having to BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST
as ONLY in the WAY of attaining their so called prescious love and unity for world peace and safety .
THIS is not gonna bode well at all for those who bought the lie under the guise it was love . IT wont bode well
for them ON the DAY of the LORD .

God looks at the heart.

Hating your neighbor because they are gay: is that what Jesus did in the gospel?

Never seen it personally, he continue to just share about the coming kingdom, and many other valuable spiritually telling things to ponder about, and loved all people even the ones he was the hardest on (the Pharisees).

Hey trollman,

In post #108 in a feigned effort to act like you are interested in the Catholics on this forum opinion on this matter you said this; Do you know who has been silent? Members here-- Marymog @Illuminator @BreadOfLife @Philip James ...... crickets.

BOL and Illuminator responded with serious answers to your feigned bait that was used to troll us Catholics on here. And then in this post you re-assure us that we don't have to say anything because you understand our concerns and our fear of speaking out!!

You are not concerned for us trollman. You are clearly a deceptive troll who's only goal is to antagonize by deliberately posting inflammatory, irrelevant, or offensive comments!

OR

You could take an extra dose of LYBALVI and we could see of there is a new, non-trolling, Mr. E?

Dear Unconscious Mary,

Wake up. Your Pope has done more to damage traditional Catholic 'values' than any (other) activist ever could.

Since all sins are already forgiven past present and future, why do so many Christians say people that are gay cannot be saved?

I went to school with a few people that were gay and they said they were Christians.
Sins aren't forgiven till we repent, I don't think. The trouble with sin is that it brings trouble into our lives. When we repent, the trouble fades away.
