Hi,I'am happy to find a forum such as this as I have allot of metaphysical questions and general questions about spirituality and Christianity. I'am 23 years and from Norway. I study political science at NTNU and my interest are basically history and politics. Other than that I enjoy fishing and spending time with family and friends and other normal stuff.Hope to learn allot here :)Edit: I would like to state that I have some issues with a few religious organization, especially the Church of Norway. When a religious organization is ruled from parliament, and it's rules and practices is rooted in liberal humanism it's hard to respect that religious organization. Don’t get me wrong I really enjoy the benefits of having a State Church such as funeral, graveyard, baptism and marriage rituals, but when the spiritual aspect is only formal and without meaning (A belief or values which is reformed every year has no real meaning or value) then it doesn’t function to offer any real hope or spirituality. I don’t know what spirituality actually is, but I am quite sure that it’s not socialist ideology. Are there any existing threads on this subject?

I am fairly new here as well.... and though it is not my place to welcome you... welcome anyway!! lol... I love metaphysical questions, I double minored in Systematic theology and Apologetics/Philosophy at Univ and I still enjoy reading those subjects currently... if you have any specific questions I would be glad to try and help in any way that I could...I am from the states so I do not deal with the same issues as you do re state churches etc... but I agree, socialism and Christianity seems to me to be a strange marriage... right away, I would recommend a book called "Understanding the Times" by David Noebel ... one blurb about the book reads "Contains scholarly text which accurately presents each world view (Christian, Marxist/Leninist, Secular Humanist and New Age) in the words of its proponents. By comparing and contrasting the well-documented premises of each world view, this work should bring one to a new understanding of a “World View Bias” working towards The New World Order."blessings, ken

Thanks,Yeah socialism has allot of the characteristics of Christianity such as charity and equality (atleast it does in theory lol), but when you justify genocide based on a persons income it looses all credibility.thanks for the tip on the book, I will check if they got it at the city library :)
