Any acknowledgement that the Watchtower Society has been wrong would bring down the whole house of cards.

"Unlike so many other false teachers before and after him, [Charles Taze] Russell [founder of the Watchtower Society] did not rely upon visions or other extra-biblical revelation. Rather, he simply interpreted, and misinterpreted, the Bible. While claiming to be a Christian and, in fact, a Christian who was restoring the faith of the New Testament, he denied many key Christian doctrines including eternal punishment, the Trinity, the deity of Christ, and the existence of the Holy Spirit. Russell, as with most Adventists, denied the existence of hell as a place where the wicked face God’s wrath. He also held that the soul simply ceases to exist after death."
The False Teachers: Charles Taze Russell | Tim Challies

C.T. Russell began as an Adventist, then left them when their prophecies failed. But he simply went into error and doubled down on his false teachings. Now he has millions of followers denying the truth, and denying the Lord and His deity.

One JW here actually said that Jesus "ceased to exist" for 3 days.

JW's must be consulting with Kingdom Hall to find out why their own NWT says they're wrong about Jesus /God and Hell fire.

No, I don't think that.

I know they greatly value knowledge. So, it stands to reason that over time, they gain more knowledge and evolve and adapt accordingly. I think this nicely explains the pics of 19th century JW's celebrating Xmas but they don't do it now.

Just for a frame of reference, can you provide how other denominations handled being wrong? This way, we have a basis of comparison. Thanks!

All denominations generally refuse to deal with their errors. However the JWs reject fundamental Bible doctrines, and therein lies the difference.
Really? I suppose the rub is what constitutes errors of other denominations that are below the line of 'fundamental'? Seems to me a false or artificial line is being drawn.

I think Watchtower members are now using sites like this to do their 'street service', it's easier than knocking on doors and they have probably been instructed to do this sort of thing by those who control them.

It is like with politicians, when they are wrong they change the meaning g of words, say they were taken out of context, or ignore it.

What errors do you want them to acknowledge?
The so called ' miracle wheat' that Russell sold to his followers and that failed to live up to his billing of a 100% yeild?
The return of Jesus in 1914?
The return of the Princes ( 1930s )for whom they built a mansion for and Russell and successors lived in.
The return of Jesus in the late 1970s?
There use of a spiritualist to justify there use of ' a god ' in John 1.
All this and more is well documented on watch tower publications?

But they never admit that they are wrong, that they are false prphets as that would mean stopping being g the watchtower and tract bible society.

JW's clearly cannot think for themselves. They are brainwashed to attack our Bible!

The real reasons why Watchtower organization FEARS the INTERNET
"Other individuals have disowned the truth because of believing information provided by apostates. (1 Tim. 4:1, 2) Given these very serious dangers, does it not seem reasonable to be cautious about becoming involved in chat sessions on the Internet? Certainly, exercising the wisdom, knowledge, thinking ability, and discernment spoken of at Proverbs 2:10-19 should safeguard us in this."
