Benny Hinn travelled to the 3rd heaven and spoke to prophets etc. He got rather upset when people criticised his sharing
"I place a curse on every man and every woman that will stretch his hand against this anointing.
I curse that man who dare to speak a word against this ministry" 30th November 2007.

It is always a little worrying when people take upon themselves the authority of God, and then people listen to them.
But pharaohs and kings have been doing this since the beginning of recorded history.

You would be amazed how upset they get when you ignore them or imply what they are saying is trampling on many good loving innocent people and leading many others into dangerous and difficult situations.

What is ironic, especially with Benny Hinn he now condemns the prosperity gospel he preached. But he has condemned a lot of his own behaviour only to repeat it, because what they say is there is no such things as bad publicity. Being a total hypocrite, saying one thing, doing another, sorting things out and then carrying on, is just what celebrities do......

Who is the bigger fool, the speaker who speaks lies or the person who believes them even when the same speaker later says he was lying.
It is a messed up world, but then if it earns you money and makes people feel happy, surely thats not a bad thing?

According to God its enough to be useless and be destroyed in the lake of fire.

No dilemma at all....to a true 'hearer' of the Spirit , His sheep know His voice and a stranger they will not follow.
    1) There is only one gate keeper to heaven.... God's Spirit...Jesus The Door.
    2) < "they spoke through a glass darkly I speak because I have seen and see daily." > No way--He that is perfect has not yet come...until then we are all one body, every joint supplying...and the ONLY mouth which speaks is His!
    We follow no man.
Only in false cults would someones vision lead other people.
So no dilemma at all to a Follower.

I agree. It just struck me about how these layered revelations have often worked out.
I have heard testimonies from individuals. They will say I came to Christ 50 years ago in this church.

That church though are legalists going to the pit, and should be closed down, exposed, isolated and executed because they are the real evil in the world today obscuring the true gospel message which these believers now have.

Ironically they claim to have come to Christ through the preaching of these legalist evil people.
They now explain they were saved but carnal, but now they are really alive and spiritual because of some new revelation.

Often this revelation has lain hidden for 2000 years but now this teacher or prophet has brought it to life.
More confusing still they were saved in this evil church and never lost their salvation when they fell away but were just confused.

Worse still all those around them and even the preacher was not a true believer, so never saved.
So logically they came to faith through unbelievers, and the very church that brought them to Christ should be destroyed.

Now if you want a con-job that destroys a believer and their origins by self destruction this must be it.
And these delusions and deceptions come from heavenly experiences. It is not a surprise they rely on lies and delusion to work because their source is not the living God and Jesus Christ or the Holy Spirit. God bless you

God speaks to us in many ways, sometimes it is through signs, remember how the servant of Abraham asked the LORD for a sign as he was looking for a future wife (that is, Rebecca) for Issac? Other times God speaks to us through people. Also, your conscience will either convict you or approve you. The Holy Spirit also leads us, remember how Paul was heading North into regions of what is now called Turkey, and The Spirit forbade Paul. But the best way God speaks to us is through the Bible. The Word of God lays the foundation to the Christian living. The books of Corinthians are excellent books for babes (Born again Christians) in the Lord.

I've seen this sufficiently to last a lifetime!

They can quickly turn on you, the veneer of holiness stripped away as the person inside lashes out. Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.

    Much love!

I have never seen the word "gatekeeper" applied to people on this side of Heaven. If you are that far ahead of the curve and no one has received you as such, the best you can do is let it inform your prayers.

Are you sure that others are prepared to embrace what you see?

How do you hear from God?
    OP ^

    * First by gathering information to my interest.
    * Then by basically asking God for His input, typically by asking God to tell me, show me, set something in my path to reveal to me His (for lack of a better word) Opinion.
    * Then patience...waiting.
    * Go on about my business doing whatever.
    * Maybe minutes, days, weeks, months...
I may be doing whatever and the answer appears.

I can't say it is audible, or a particular language, but a thought, (out of the blue so to speak), after having asked and not thought about it again, or having dwelled on the question trying to figure a logical answer.

    Glory to God,
    Taken

I am not someone who claims to have a special revelation, I was posing the question if I was and I had this experience how could I test its validity. There are plenty of people I have met who claim some fantastic experiences, out of body, going to the 3rd heaven, speaking to angels, having angels do things for them etc. Some sound plausible, some are just insane, others are somewhere in between. So when you meet guys like this what does one say?

Your question is hypothetical & soulish. If God gives you a big revelation, He will give you the means to receive and vet it [2 Timothy 3:16-17]. The Holy Spirit is that thorough.

If you are uncertain, He will keep after you (without condemnation). I am reminded of God talking to young Samuel [1 Samuel 3:2-10].

When I ask Him, He leads me in the right direction or even causes my head to turn to the correct direction and I see the item that I am looking for. :D

And just for any doubters, He has led me over 10 times this week to find something and my workshop is a mess.

For example I asked the Holy Spirit to help me find a certain punch, I get up, walk over to my big rubber mallet, and it was sitting behind the mallet, I ask the Holy Spirit where is the Screw Driver, turn my head and see a metal shaft sticking out from underneath a pile of papers. This morning I asked Him to help me find my phone, He led me to the hallway and then to turn right, and it was sitting right there on the dining table.

Praise God for His guidance! :D

Funnily I have had this proposition put to me by different people, who found their authenticity not in scripture but in their revelation.
I am open to anything, as long as the people know I will test it with everything I know, and hold nothing back.

Most revelations are about demonizing a group and the justifying the new group as the solution. Once loyalty is shifted the individual is a bit high and dry if the new revelation is actually shot to pieces. The risk is ofcourse before this shift has taken place the demonisation does not work, and actually another picture of reality is put forward.

Coming to Jesus is similar, except the sinful world does not need demonizing, it is flawed and shot to pieces. And Jesus's solution is not unreasonable, it is actually the most healthy dynamic one could ever have, to learn to love care and support others around you.

And Jesus lets the believer discover at their pace in their way, which again is unusual, because most groups bombard one with love and attention and then if you try and leave with total loss and withdrawal and rejection that will occur and how nothing will work, because you need only the group to survive. Jesus warns of the consequences to our hearts, how we will dry up, become empty brittle and broken and end withered and unfruitful only useful for the fire if we start and then walk away.

Why would I not want Jesus and His way, and listen to another to distract me into some other agenda and approach which is dependant on the leader and their interpretation, when we have Jesus and the Holy Spirit to guide us every day of our lives. God bless you all.
