written by a Christian so don’t be swayed by the title

Let’s Stop Pretending Christianity is Actually Relevant, Okay?

As you say.."interesting article" It looks like the kind of heading that our old friend @bbyrd009 would use to grab our attention. :D

I liked this it caused me to THINK!!
<snippet>
"I’m excited the North American church is dying. Christians not having the influence we once had in the 1900s gives me great hope. For the past 100 years we’ve had a lot of cultural converts. Everyone is a Christian because they grew up in Texas. Or they go to church. Or their mom and dad raised them that way. Hell, according to the U.S. census 70% of Americans identify as “Christian.” But the vast majority of those responses are nothing more than cultural identification, not Christianity. I imagine that’s why so many people despise Christians. Their belief is cultural, and no one intends to follow the man they claim governs their life, so we end up this giant homogenous blob of hypocrites that judge and condemn people, instead of looking like they did in 165 AD. "...etc etc etc

Thanks for the posting.

True Christianity, which is faith in Jesus Christ and being born-again, influences and changes and creates culture. If the 'culture' of Christianity is dying, it is only because less are turning to Jesus Christ.

I saw this writer said nothing about Jesus Christ and how to be saved which produces real Christians. All he could offer is that we just need to love more and allow the immigrants into the country. And everyone who doesn't must be the cultural hypocrites.

A Christian culture produces Christians. Changes lives. Affects morals and laws. Affects government. As it should.

This writer just wants his culture, whatever that is, to replace the Christian culture in America, in all that it entails, which means more 3rd world immigrants are needed.

Basically most of us are scared to love the unlovely in the way Jesus would have us do.

It is costly, both in terms of cash, time, emotions and reputation.

That and the fact that for morst of us we live in comfortable 'nice' neighbourhoods and don't mix with the unlovely.

The challenge is to learn how to love those who don't look lovely.

Intetesting... This guy thinks its good! That christian influence and culture is disappearing.... Wow.. Just wow...

I noticed particularly this:
"Whatever influence Christians used to have, much like a parasite trying to reconnect to its host for fear of dying"

So we are parasites on the secular community?
This is the kind of thinking that leads to genocide... One that the Jews have been experiencing for a long time...

One that we christians are going to go through on a world wide scale as we follow in the footsteps of our Lords passion...

Stay awake!

That's a lie. Coming to Jesus Christ is Christianity . Loving as God loves is Christianity. Hating the things God hates is Christianity. You want to emphasize love so as to open the door to 3rd world immigration. You are quite the racist.

That' a rather harsh remark, and not something which should be posted at all. Christianity is indeed "Christ in you the hope of glory". We should not mistake Christendom (and a great deal of false Christianity) with Bible Christianity.

Interesting... This guy thinks its good! That christian influence and culture is disappearing.... Wow.. Just wow...
There are many in the Western world who are working hard to wipe out Christian influence from Western society (all across Europe, the UK and North America. They are in fact aiding and abetting the Muslims, who are the enemies of the Gospel, of Christians, Jews, and Christianity. Radical Islam wishes to impose Sharia Law on the West.

The title of this article certainly encourages the enemies of Christianity, since most people will not bother with the content, and few will understand anything about Bible Christianity.
