In the New Testament we read a weird passage concerning Paul’s eyes.
Acts 9:18
18 And immediately something like fish scales fell from his eyes, and he regained his sight, and he got up and was baptized;
Was that literal? Was that no literal? Is there a way to know?
The answer is yes, we do in fact have a way to know that is just hyperbole. It’s called biblical patterns hyperlinking back to a earlier issue.
He is a clue. You need to do a word study on scales throughout the tanakh.
